"It was Mothers Day, we had a reservation and there were plenty of empty tables. So there was no reason to seat us at a broken table that wobbled and a bench to sit on that moved all over. Out waiter was abrupt and not very friendly even though he was not busy. We were not treated well at all. I noticed other diners being greeted and welcomed. We did not get that. The food was very good. I would like to try it again but I would request a specific area for seating."

"Family of four dining for Mother's day. Pace of service does not flow well here but food taste is very strong. Time span between drinks, starters and entree was not even and balanced. We placed our entree order at the same time we placed the order for drinks and starters. Took 30 minutes for entree to arrive after starters. We felt like were not that hungry by the time the main course was served. The person who seated us was very welcoming and polite. The server seemed flustered. Recommend the calamari (very tender / cooked perfectly) and the Cucuna Platter. Mozz and selection of cold meats was perfect as was the grilled bread. Would dine here again in hopes that the service has tightened up."

"Had a nice meal at Wolfgang Puck Sat. night. Basic Italian menu selections. Overall the quality of the food was very good. We felt it was overpriced for many of the items, $12 for a caesar salad that was not large enough to share. The server was friendly but disappeared. I asked for another drink, which never came. Took way to long to get food, coffee etc. Would not go back."

"I've been to some other Wolfgang Puck restaurants around the country and haven't really enjoy the food. I was so pleasantly surprised by the food here. I ordered the penne with grilled chicken in a tomato cream sauce and it was absolutely delicious. Sometimes I don't enjoy the taste of the chicken in that type of sauce, but it was really well seasoned and cooked and tasted great. I also tried the peach mango iced tea which was also great."

"Overall the meal was fair to good, but left something to be deisred. We started with the wood fired pizza, which was the best part of the whole meal. For the main meal, I selected the penne grilled chicken pasta, which was so so at best. My husband choose the pork milanese, which was basically a huge slab of deep fried pork. In comparison to other Wolfgang resturants we have tried this one was the least impressive. The food was good, but it wasn't anything you couldn't have gotten at Caraba's or other similar chain italian resturant. We were in on a Friday night and the place was rather slow. The service was bad, which was a bit confusing since no one was there? The waiter came by every 15 mintures or so ... not sure where he went?"

Meal arrived after an unusually long wait, but minus the side dishes. Another wait. Waitress was most apologetic. I am hoping this was an isolated incident, as I have reservation again in May and the food was very good."

"Almost every single thing we ate was absolutely delicious, and almost stunning in presentation. The yummy bean soup is served in a spectacular bowl. The chicken piccano was the best I've ever eaten, flavorful and cooked to a perfect tenderness. The bread was out-of the oven fresh, served with interesting garlic and bean spreads. The tasty cheesecake was plated with a wonderful fresh berry sauce."

"The food and service were excellent. We went during Restaurant week and found the portions ample and the quality of the food was very good. My only concern was that since it was inside of the casino, it was difficult to find. We had to wind through rows of slot machines and deal with the smoke of the patrons. Once we finally got to the restaurant, it was great. I only wish they were located somewhere else."

"Six of us had a wonderful dinner at Wolfgang Puck's. The 4 cheese ravioli and white bean soup appetizers were delicious! Salmon was done perfectly, the chicken piccante was flavorful and a very generous serving. Two people had the steak and found it rich and tender and done to specifications. The potatoes served with the steak were great! Ordering the wine pairing was suggested by our waiter, Chuck, and it was an excellent recommendation. Chuck was a wonderful waiter. He was well informed about the preparation and ingredients of each menu item. He was friendly, but very professional. Our meals came hot and timely. Thanks Chuck. The ambiance of the restaurant itself was lacking and walking thru the casino was not inviting."

"I have dined here twice now and both times my items have arrived luke warm to cold. This visit soup, oysters Rockefeller, and lobster all arrived so cold they were almost inedible. I would have thought the drawn butter might have warmed things up for the lobster, but that arrived (after having to ask for it) 10 minutes after my cold lobster arrived and it came without the typical burner underneath. I would say this was isolated if I had not experience this same temperature issue last time I dined with you. Bartenders are great, though."

"With the ambience of a train station restaurant and the omnipresent cigarette smoke of the casino right outside this is hardly a romantic destination. The food was good but not particularly memorable. Our $36 bottle of wine was fine, but hardly a value as it retails from $7-8. (The markups for the rest of the more expensive wine list was the same). The disspirited yet obsequious wait staff was slow to serve but fast to interrupt to seek assurance that all was well. Another observation--lots of people in suits doing little noticable work. Maybe this place just reflects the casino atmosphere it's a part of but we found it depressing and we will not be back."

"Friendly but not attentive service. Had to ask for bread bowl .felt pressure to keep a drink we did not order.we would come back but it is not the standard service one would expect from Wolfgang puck. I understand the prices r lower than his other restaurants but he needs to keep his wait staff in check . The table bussers were very good. We had to ask them for a couple of items since the waitress was not available"

"We had a great dinner. The name gives the perception of a pizza joint but that is not the case. Our experience was fine dining all the way. Those complaining about the noise must remember they ARE in a casino. We sat towards the back and the noise was no problem. The "background" music was a bit annoying but the food and service were outstanding. We will certainly be back."

"The pizza did not have enough cheese or topping, it was also close to being burnt. Our waiter and elder man was very rude and short with us. On the way out i told him thank you (even though I didn't mean it) and he did even respond back."

"Walking through the casino was bad enough, but the smell of cigarette smoke permeated the restaurant. (It's a no smoking zone, but the ventilation is clearly inadequate.)
The main courses were excellent, although they arrived in the middle of our appetizer. That's a mistake that should never happen.
We had an excellent wine, a Gavi that was a real treat. Too bad it didn't come out before the appetizer.
But the biggest disappointment was the pizza we ordered as an appetizer. We ordered it because that's one of Wolfgang Puck's signatures. It was definitely not up to his standards. I wasn't expecting Spago (where I've eaten), but I've had better Wolfgang Puck pizzas in the Denver and Chicago airports."

"The food was good, we just had much higher expectations from a Wolfgang Puck restaurant. Calamari was a little greasy and needed a pinch of salt. No spices, just fried calamari.
I had the Chicken Piccata. Again, low on flavor. Very little lemon, needed more in the sauce. Some artichokes or mushrooms would have helped. My wife had a shrimp and pasta dish. Big on oil and butter, low on flavor.
The ingredients of the dishes was top grade, the chef needs to add more flavor to his dishes."

"Overall, Food was good but definitely on the pricey side. Both the Veal Scallopini (I was served a pretty large portion)and Salmon were very good. Although we can't say that the Salmon was really worth twice the cost of Salmon we had at another "non-big name" restaurant that we ate at a week earlier.
We had eaten several times at the original MGM Grand Detroit Wolfgang Pucks. The ambiance and food at this newest place doesn't match the original.
Wait Staff had some problems with dropping a plate and spilling a beverage on my wife. While accidents happen, the Staff here had no clue how to clean things up or how to apologize.
Overall, not horrible but we won't return."

"We have eaten at the first Wolfgang's @ MGM, and, I guess we were spoiled....the food was outstanding!! Our food was good..I had the chicken permasian and my husband had the breaded pork chop. It was just not that special, the polenta was a little bland, and the bread was good, but, not as good as his previous restaurant: there were more choices and so very eye appealing on the table. We had chocolate souffles for dessert, they were really good, but, we needed more whipped cream, or ice cream as they were very rich. All in all, I guess I was comparing, and hoping for the taste of the previous restaurant, and the flavors of the roast chicken !! That was so special !!

"The food was fantastic (there were seven of us, so we had a wide range of dishes and all were great!) and we had a great server, but you've got to remember that you are in a casino. That means a bit noisy (but not too bad) and you walk through the casino floor to get to the restaurant. Ergo, you smell like smoke once you get there. For a non-smoker, it's a bit off putting. The restaurant itself did not smell of smoke, but my clothes sure did once I got home!"

"Great food with decent service. Group of 7 people, after a downtown event. We wanted to go to Wolfgang Puck Steak (right next door), but they were booked for the evening. We were allowed to order from the WP Steak menu as well as the WP Cucina. This worked out great for our group. Excellent Experience!"
