"VERY VERY nice, second time since they opened this was even better the second time around. I always look for friendly service that comes attached to good food. Greek Town casino needed this to complete the experience. Order the rib eye best in the city for sure"

"Great staff, Sammy our waiter always treats us like "old friends". Even Frederick the GM is always floating around from table to table greeting customers and making you feel at home. The entire staff always has a smile and a hello for you and that starts as soon as you walk up to the hostess stand!"

"We have enjoyed Brizola on several occasions and decided to take my parents out for a special dinner. As always, we were thrilled with the quality of food and service. Although the casino was meant to be the entertainment for the evening, Brizola was the highlight. The staff is very attentive, but never intrusive. The food is high quality with layers of flavor. It is a little pricey, but it's a wonderful "special occasion" spot."

"1. I agree with all others that getting to the entrance of Brizola is THE most terrible part of the experience. Directions are non-existant (or non-obvious), you walk through the smokiest, seediest, saddest clientele part of the casino and once you finally arrive, you smell like an ash tray. 2. Once you are inside, it's a nice atmosphere - in my opinion, the windows and "view" are a bit wasted on being so near to the ground but it's nice. 3. I doubt the DRW food was representative of the "normal" menu, which I thought was the purpose?? I was disappointed with my portion size but my 2 friends ordered the exact same thing and theirs were larger/okay. The flavor was good but overall - not impressive."

"We were "greated" by a woman who acted like she was doing us a favor by talking to us. She didnt smile and wasn't very polite. She didn't have a name tag on for us to complain. We sat at the bar and the bartender was also not very friendly. They were slow on refilling our water to the point we had to ask more than once. The server was nice, but didn't seem like she knew what she was doing. On an up note, the food was delicious. They charged us for the wine we had already paid for at the bar, so they had to adjust the check, but did it without a problem. I might go back, but might wait a while to see if they can improve the service."

"What a lovely surprise!!! We were thoroughly impressed with our dining experience at Brizola and we have to thank Restaurant Week - we would not have gone otherwise. The food was fantastic - we had the lamb porterhouse and beef tips and they were amazing - kudus to the chefs for seasoning them perfectly, letting the natural flavours of the high quality meat shine through naturally. Each of us ordered different "donenesses" and all four were spot one. We've been talking it up to all our friends. Thanks again."

"Service was bad!!!! We had to ask for everything, come to think of it I'm still waiting on my water. The waiter was not attentive at all. I ordered my steak medium I was served a meduim well if that, NO FLAVOR!!! The place is blah, it doesn't stand out there is know flair. "They're trying but it just doesn't add up to an outstanding experience. Hated having to walk through the very smokey casino to get to the restaurant. There are no other options. Service is good overall but not as polished as the prices would suggest. Speaking of which, we ate there for restaurant week which had a low cost menu option, but the regular menu is quite pricey. We were seated by the player piano which was too loud for normal conversation. Maybe the piano is supposed to lend some class but I'd have preferred some piped in mood music. The positives- waitstaff was friendly. Bottled water is served as standard. The menus are iPad-ish which is fun assuming you're familiar with how they function. Large wine list. 2.5 stars"

"The restaurant is great with a romantic feel. The live piano playing was a wonderful addition to the ambiance. My only reason for not returning to this restaurant is that it is located inside the casino. Not being a gambler or smoker I didn't like having to walk thru the crowded, noisy, smoke-filled casino to get to the restaurant. The stench from the smoke lingered with us all thru dinner. When I made the reservation I thought the restaurant was inside the casino hotel (like Iridescence) not the casino itself."

"Food was very well-prepared. Our waiter, John, was very attentive. The Camembert appetizer was good but, for me, a little too rich to start the meal. I should have gone with a salad. "Went here for restaurant week, and while I know that this is often not the best way to try a new restaurant, I have to say that nothing about the meal would entice me back. Two of our entrees had temperature issues (overcooked lamb chop, undercooked potatoes and vegetables), and service was inattentive at best. Combine this with the fact that you have to walk through an extremely smoky casino to get to the restaurant (ownership may want to consider making the immediate area outside of the restaurant non-smoking), there really isn't anything about this place that would seemingly command the high prices. Wine list is good, though."

"This place is okay, but far too pricey for what it is. It's located right off the casino floor of Motor City Casino in Detroit, and it's a pretty small place. There isn't any kind of a "view" to speak of, and the menu is pretty limited (and expensive). The service staff seems like they are trying, but they are not even close to being up to the standards of a four star, $50+ plate restaurant. The food was pretty good (although the porions are small but I'm not complaining). All in all, if the prices were about 30-40% lower I'd say it was a great place. As it is, there are far better places to dine in Downtown Detroit for the money."

"I understand it was restaurant week...but man, I was not impressed. I had the lamb for dinner and shrimp as an appetizer. It was like eating Indian food. I love Indian food...but it's just not a real good combination with shrimp and with lamb, way too much seasoning. Plus my lamb was basically all fat. We won't be coming back."

"I was surprised at how poor this experience was. I ordered soup: it arrived less than warm. There was a film over the soup because it had been sitting, getting cold. There was a request made for a refresher of the bread basket. That took a while and when it came they did not refresh the butter and dipping oils with it. Had to ask for that again. Service was very slow, with looong intervals before someone asked it we needed anything. My guests and I ordered lamb and beef dishes. One ordered their dish medium well (lamb, and not a good idea), while the other and myself (beef) ordered ours medium. All came out Medium well. My beef dish was tough. The lamb was also tough. Not good for a steakhouse. Needless to say, there was much amiss."

"The food and the service were very good; the interactive menus via i-Pads was cool. However, in order to get to the restaurant, you have to walk through the bowels of the smoky casino. So by the time we arrived, we smelled like smoke and that smell lingered throughout our meal. Even though the restaurant is smoke-free, it still smelled like stale cigarette smoke, which spoiled the evening for me. I wouldn't go there again simply because of that."

"The food was very good as a whole. We took part in the restaurant week menu and one entree was not as tasty as the other. But it was still a very good meal. Hostesses could have been friendlier and the server a bit more attentive, but overall a good experience. For the price of the meals, I expected a lot better service. Also, it was a difficult restaurant to find in Greektown Casino. There need to be more signs and direction to get us there."

"We visited the restaurant during Spring Restaurant week in Detroit. Our reservations were honored right away and we were escorted to our table. The mood of the room was romantic as there were couples dining and holding hands. We were greeted by the waiter that seemed to want us to order in somewhat of a hurry. I had the crab and shrimp appetizer, but it was too spicy for me, so they replaced it with the cheese tray, my friend got the Greektown salad and said the dressing was on the spicy side as well but the salad was great. We both ordered the beef medallions. They arrived 3 to a plate and served with Asian noodles. There was a good amount of meat with the entrée, but the pieces were of varying degrees of tenderness."
