"We went for brunch. Some unique and standards on the menu. What we ordered was delicious.
We loved the artsy modern decor and the service was attentive.
Only drawback was the room was rather cool and air con was blowing directly on us. We asked to have the air turned off but we were told the thermostat was broken. We did try it and yes it seemed to be that way! Bring a sweater and order a warm drink."

"The food is fantastic - sampled it at an event we attended which is why we decided to go to Canvas. The service was spotty - pinch-hitting servers really doesn't work. There was no lettuce the day we were there, so no salads available. We weren't asked if we wanted coffee or dessert - we didn't, but that's beside the point. If they improve their service, we will go back 'cause the food really is wonderful!"

"I love the modern cafe feel of this place. I definitely would return to try more dishes. Was there for lunch, but there were options for breakfast and dinner as well. The burger was amazing and the vegetable soup was delicious. The homemade ketchup saved the cold fries. Service was very friendly."

"Excellent food and reasonable prices for the quality. A small venue. The place was refreshingly quiet - I suspect that it hasn't quite caught on yet with Calgarians. I would suggest going there before it becomes so popular you can't get a seat."

"Came with a large group of ladies (10) and found the service and atmosphere excellent. Its a beautiful hole in the wall that will have a stellar outdoor area when the season permits. Service was great, food was yummy (although the greens could use some work, but who cares when there is duck confit on black lentils). Overall great new addition to the area."

"The food we ordered was good. However, the menu is limited to start with and they were out of 2 items (quiche, mac & cheese), which wasn't the greatest start to our meal. They were also out of cranberry juice. It seemed odd to be out of all of those things as we were having an early lunch (11:30). How exactly is a restaurant out of those things before the lunch rush even begins?? The restaurant has a lot of potential, but they need to work a few things out."

"When seated the server began to list the items that were not available on the menu. When finished I realized they only had two items available. This was very disappointing considering it was Saturday at 1:00 PM. After listening to various excuses and having to ask for a wine list I decided to leave. I will not be re-visiting this establishment ever."
