"Tried out Big Easy for the 5280 week, and we will definitely go back. Be forewarned, the food is hot and spicy, but if you like your food that way, this is the place for you. My shrimp/crawfish etouffee was amazing, crawdads were plump and tender - not rubbery at all. Awesome bloody marys, the bacon hushpuppies were OMG good (oh, and spicy!). Great Cajun restaurant!"
"We were somewhat disappointed with the restaurant. They had advertised a 5280 menu with Gumbo and beignets and neither were available. They said the chef had burned the gumbo and substituted hush puppies for soup! They also said the beignet machine was broken."
"Chef burnt the gumbo so none for us. Never had an étouffée so spicy - way too spicy. In most Louisiana étouffées the crayfish tails are plentiful and without bodies attached. There was one whole crawdad and that was it. Shrimp was large & fine, but the holy trinity of vegetables was an indicernible mush. Not to my liking at all. Grilled oysters very small but tasty; bread pudding yummy; and some of the friendliest waitstaff in Cherry Creek."
"Food was amazing. Was really looking forward to a traditional New Orleans cocktail, but the bartender was brand new and didn't seem to have the knowledge. Hopefully the next time we go back, we have a more experienced bartender."
"Greatly enjoyed my time, meal and the service. Both the waiter and the host were friendly, knowledgable, and courteous. I have recommended Big Creole to both friends and family as a definite MUST TRY!"

"Very impressed with our first trip to Big Easy. Often, 5280 week can be a disappointment, but not this time. Excellent service, good food, good drinks. We would highly recommend a second visit to Big Easy."
"This was not what creole food tastes like. Super loaded with paprika for the Etouffee' ? I don't think so. Crab cakes were excellent. Spices were just 'off' as New Orleans Style eating goes. Way off."
"Wonderful food and very friendly service. This was the first time we were at Big Easy Creole Kitchen and the experience was great. Lots of flavor, with a good bite to the dishes."

"Big Easy was so good and could end up being our new favorite restaurant. The winning combo, if you go is Charbroiled Oysters, Crawfish & Shrimp Etouffee and New Orleans Bread Pudding. They had a wine special for $5 and there is free parking behind the restaurant. My husband is very impressed with their Gumbo and Etouffee. We highly recommend it!"
"What a fun restaurant! We all enjoyed the food, especially my finance and his brother who are from the South. The desserts weren't a hit, but the entrees were. The atmosphere was fun, and we will be back."
"Went there for 5280 week. They're fairly new to Cherry Creek, our server said they opened last Sept. I ordered the oyster appetizer and they were outstanding, I would highly recommend them. And their corn bread was phenomenal. Overall, the food was very good and I will definitely be going back!"

"We wanted to try because we love creole food. First course was fine but the main course was very disappointing. We both had the shrimp and craw fish etouffee. Was not very good. Will probably go back to try other dishes."
"Went for some great Bayou food, and was not disappointed. Started with Oysters on the half. Perfectly displayed on a layer of rock salt. Absolutely delishious. Main course was shrimp and crawfish étouffée. Nice amount of seafood in the dish. Kicked it up with some Louisana hot sauce and was in heaven. Nice two-man entertainment set the mood right. Really enjoyed the evening. Only negative comment was the number of main dish selections. Limited to only seven or eight. Think they should expand by a few more to appeal to more people. Need another fish dish, and a jambalaya dish."
"Overall, not great. Music was way too loud and began at an early hour. The New Orleans specialties such as gumbo and beignets were far from great. However, the fish special and the charbroiled oysters were delightful. Won't be going back any time soon."
"Not one of our better Creole dining experiences although the oysters were first rate. Service was lacking...starting with hostess all the way through the waiter. Reservation at 7 but seated @ 7:40 with no apologies. Seated at bar for 10 minutes before we were even acknowledged. Champagne was flat but told that was the type of champagne being served.Waiter pushed fixed price menu on us even though we clearly wanted a real taste of Creole and not the Special menu.Staff generally not interested in being service oriented. Still do not know why they call it Creole...have they even lived in or been to the "Big Easy"?"
"I hope that this was just a bad night but almost everything went wrong. Waiter didn't know how to pour a bottle of wine, one of the entrees was dropped on the floor in the kitchen delaying our dinner but with no heads up. But to the food. The pork cooked 2 ways was a good dish (raising a 1 to a 2 rating), but the staples of a 'creole' restaurant the etoufee and red beans and rice were bad. The etoufee's roux was overcooked and the dish oddly and overly spiced (perhaps to hide the roux) with not very much seafood. The red beans and rice was really sausage and rice with few if any of the beans (undercooked when found) for which the dish is usually based. Paying for one dish was appropriate but didn't compensate for a bad night."
"My wife and I went to Big Easy for Valentine's day and were very dissapointed with the food. She ordered the Red Beans and Rice and it tasted like a bowl of Chile. I ordered the Pork Tenderloin and it was dry and tough... and to top it off we ordered the Beignets for dessert and they were doughy on the inside, had to send them back. Very dissapointing. I wont be going back."
"Had made reservations at the Big Easy for a first meeting/first date. The experience was fantastic! The manager (I'm guessing) and wait staff were very helpful and did everything possible to make the date a success! The atmosphere was pleasant and the Voodoo Lounge was very energetic as the evening wore on.
The food was very good with good portions. I definitely will go back!"

"My 3rd time to eat at The Big Easy. I think it's great. Really got the New Orleans thing down and food is great. The only downside was this was Fat Tuesday and they were understaffed for it. It took 45 minutes to get my 1st drink. But we were laid back and into the mood and all was good."
"Had a great time at the Mardi Gras party. The food was wonderful, as usual, and the band was good. If you could not make it to NOLA for Mardi Gras, this was the place to be!"

"Not worth it! Food was not worth the money. Gumbo was bland, grits was salty. Service and decor was nice but I would not recommend this place to others!"
"For Sunday Brunch, the food was amazing and how I remembered it from being in New Orleans! The eggs benedict definitely had a Nola taste that was different in a great way. My son had the Pain Perdou and he will order it again! We were filled to the brim with these wonderful creations."

"Great atmosphere, service was excellent, and the food was superb. Crab cakes were gulf style and good, Gumbo was dark file' and tasty (although we all prefer Gumbo done our own way) and the pork loin was very tender. My wife had the fish of the day which was complimented with some killer collards. A great meal. We got there at 6 and the place was filled up by 7. Great New Orleans ambiance but not over the top, and if you like Bread Pudding you will appreciate their spin. Will go back in a heart beat."

"I took my husband here for his birthday, as he wanted to try something new and fun (instead of the standard steak house type restaurants I usually take him to). This place was awesome! Our server was incredibly nice and attentive (but not TOO attentive), and the food was very, very good! This would definitely be considered fine dining, price wise, but totally worth it!"

"This was the first time eating dinner at the Big Easy. Previously we had eaten lunch and brunch and enjoyed both. We had an out of town guest with us and he was very complimentary about the food and ambiance. I had an excellent salad and the duck two ways. We all liked our entrees and as Louisiana natives, we understand good cajun cooking. You cannot go wrong at the Big Easy."

"We had hopes that Big Easy would be our "go to" restaurant for cajun/creole food. Unfortunately, it was not. The charbroiled oyster appetizer was quite good, but the meal took a turn downhill after that. We found the gumbo fairly bland, while the étouffée and red beans and rice were over seasoned. The shrimp in the etouffee had a good flavor. We prefer light beignets and those served were heavy and dense. The service was good and the atmosphere pleasant, but doubt we will go back any time soon."
