Focusing mainly on Chicago and Midwestern U.S. performing artists our musicians cover a range of Jazz stylings from Traditional and Swing to Bop, Fusion, Latin, Afro-Pop and more.
Andy's Jazz Club is a unique Jazz Room as we are conversation friendly. We do ask that all guests be courteous to all artists while performing.

"Music was good, but way too loud for the size of the place. It was funny to see a small card placed at the table asking not to speak loudly at the table to not disrupt the musicians when the music was so loud that you could not hear anyone talking anyway. I was surprised to be told when we were going to be seated that we might be told to leave by 9:00 p.m. If the table was needed for other potential customers. I have never been told that anywhere. We weren't told that the music had started before 7:30 pm. so when we got there the music was already playing.
The food was very good except the wings for appetizer, which had been burned and served with a barbecue glaze over it. Horrible."

"Made a reservation using OpenTable an hour before showtime, and got a table right by the stage: good view of the musicians and excellent sound quality. Not too loud. Listened to the Bobby Broom Trio through two sets (great show!) while munching a spinach salad with walnuts and blue cheese, grilled salmon with new potatoes, and a wheat beer. Cover was a comfortable $10, and I was told at the door that I could stay at my table for up to 2 hours. Will definitely go back again the next time I am in Chicago."

"The jazz music was wonderful - I would listen to good live jazz every day if I could. The food was also very good which I was skeptical about. The server was also wonderful...very bubbly personality. I highly encourage you to make reservations through open table to you get a table right away and don't have to wait to listen to the jazz music."

"I have been to Andy's several times. The food is excellent, reasonably priced and you will find a nice mix of Jazz. Take a look at the website for who is playing and the type but I haven't been disappointed yet. Fantastic Musicians, Great Food and a no rush atmosphere. I always feel relaxed and satisfied after going to Andy's."

"My husband and I ordered a pizza while we were at Andy's, which was very good. The atmosphere and actual club were not what I expected. I can say that thinking of a jazz club in Chicago, I was thinking the venue would be a little more upscale. The atmosphere is very laid back, and casual (a place where you would wear jeans). Andy's appeared to be somewhat of a "hole in the wall" place. The inside appeared somewhat run down and older, however, I do realize Andy's is a long standing establishment, so maybe the rustic appearance is what makes it "special" to some. Overall, the food and entertainment were good. Next time, I would go wearing jeans and expect a casual evening."

"A recommended spot to try on our visit to Chicago. We were a party of four with a reservation for 7:30. We had dinner with one group and were enjoying the second act when we were asked to leave our table at 10 pm. The bar was full so we ended our evening. We enjoyed our evening even if we ended it earlier. Food was good and service was attentive. We would try Andy's again on a return visit."

"Fun Sunday night dinner and jazz experience. Being Sunday night there were two jam sessions led by different local artists. Good music, particularly since these are not musicians that usually play together. Food was good, I had the ribs which were very good. Also a nice mix of wines and beers. I enjoyed a local micro-brew followed by a Malbec with the ribs."

"The jazz music was quite enjoyable with a good variety. I wasn't expecting much out of the food as the music was the main draw but I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of my meal. The service was excellent and the room offered a nice romantic evening for a date without being packed in like sardines. Overall, I was very impressed and will definitely be returning."

"Andy's Jazz Club is not a great place to go for food. First off they charge you $15 each to get in even if you are eating there. Second you can only have the table for 2 hours which puts you under a little pressure as you know you are going to have to move. Then the food itself is not good. Frozen and cheap. The service is not much better either. Unfriendly. In fact all of the staff were not welcoming. We will not be back."

"The band was amazing and the vibe of the club tremendous, the food was great--steak was cooked perfectly, and my wife's Salmon was delicious. The service was ok, but the server seemed to care very little about doing anything more then taking and order and moving on to his next table.

"Ths was our first time at Andy's, as we were referred here by a bass player friend of mine. We were hoping to hear some great Jazz from Richie Cole, but were a bit disappointed. We didn't mind the $15 cover per person, but we expected to hear Richie Cole play for the 11pm late night set. Unfortunately Richie had hurt his ankle or leg the day before and only played a brief time while others filled in. Don't get me wrong , the jazz overall was very good. We had a cheese Brie appetizer and steak tip appetizer that was very good.
Andy's is a great place to sit back and relax for great jazz and decent cuisine. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Chicago."

"Andy's was great! The ambiance is unique and wonderful, the service was great, and the band was fantastic. I only give it 4 stars because there is a 2 hour time limit at the tables, after which you have to go to the bar (which later in the evening is very full....in their defense they do tell you this before you sit down). Also, while the food was good, it was not anything special. High, highly recommend a visit to Andy's...it surely will not be your last."

"AMAZING! If you are looking for a good casual and low key jazz club this is it!
Make sure you visit their website and read all the rules about a 2 hour table limit and the cover. Different performances have different cover charges and the charges are less before a certain time.
The crowd is a little older (like 30's 40's just because its jazz and its a nicer club scene) and my boyfriend and I are in our 20's but I hardly noticed. I am an old soul and there were some younger people there with like parents and stuff.
The bar can get crowded so I recommend coming for the early cover and getting a seat. We came around 6:30 for the early cover and sat at the bar until our dinner reservations at like 9:30 (when the later performance sta"

"I had a decent time at Andy's Jazz Club however, as a group you were only allowed to sit at your table for two hours. I feel as though I was rushed to choose something off the menu because they wanted to make sure myself and my quests would be gone within the two hour limit. I was even rused from my table before I could pay my check. I did notice that couples were not rushed from their tables just the larger size groups. So myself and my husband plan to return again."

"The music was fantastic! There are some tables in a corner by the window that were not a good location to see the stage/musicians that we were initally going to be sat, but after asking to be relocated, the hostess moved us right in front of the stage. The food was pricey and the pasta wasn't super good but the chicken tasted delicious. Although there was a 2 hour time limit for dining, we were able to extend it some and had the opportunity to sit at the bar afterwards. It was too crowded by the door and the bar to enjoy the ambience so we left shortly after leaving our table. The service was OK. Our waiter checked on us periodically but was monotone and unanimated by asking the same questions over and over again. I will visit again!"

"I made a birthday dinner reservations and specifically asked for a table close to the stage. Although I was late for my reservation, I did call ahead of time informing that I was running late. There seem to be some confusion at the check in desk and I was sent to a table that wasn't to my liking. After about 10 mins, I was granted a better table. Don't know what went wrong, but aside from this, I enjoyed celebrating my birthday there with my boyfriend. Thank you."
