JoJo’s Restaurant & Tap House provides a bit of a unique dining experience. We have a semi-private dining room that will appeal to those wanting a nice, casual atmosphere without the noise and bustle of a bar right next to them. For those looking for a bit more in the way of live music, a great selection of craft beer and an evening out with friends, our Tap House side hits the mark. Our restaurant layout allows us to appeal to all ages and groups as we routinely have customers from their 20's to their 80's enjoying both sides of JoJo's Restaurant & Tap House.
"The cream of crab soup was excellent! I really wanted to lick my bowl! A wonderful start to the meal. The salad was my entree. It was very filing and the horseradish bleu cheese dressing was very tasty. A great start to a fun evening."

"32 ounce (seriously, that's two pounds) prime rib was quite possibly the dullest flavor I've ever had. I'm not even sure how you accomplish that with prime rib even with the included horseradish. It was also overcooked (no hint of pink when I ordered medium rare).
The vegetables were equally bland, my wife's salad dry. Everything we ate lacked flavor. We are used to restaurants in DC and are almost always happy. This place is just not in that league.
The waiter was nice and friendly despite a lengthy delay getting to our table in which we considered leaving. But once he got there he provided first-rate attention and we tipped him accordingly."

"The crab soup was almost a search and rescue operation. Very little crab or seasoning. Crab-stuffed chicken - the chicken was dry and the crab was consumed in more stuffing. It was like a crab-cake stuffed inside the chicken. Service was exceptional however and the ambiance was quite nice."

"Our food and server was great! However, I do not believe the kitchen could handle Frederick restaurant week and the number of people to services. We had a long wait in between each plate of food, but it was wonderful. We'll definitely go back just on a not so busy weekend!"

"Worst meal I ever had (and i am dead serious). Even the service was sub-par as we were not even given the bar or restaurant week menus until we asked. They substituted french fries for the mash potatoes that were supposed to come with my meal but never explained why. The only good thing I ate was the exploding s'more for dessert. The bar looked decent but I wouldn't eat a meal there again."

"The restaurant section is much quieter than expected, given that the tap area is LOUD! But we were right at the front of the room, well away from the connection to the tap room. Food was variable. Duck bites excellent, crab fritters not so good - very little crab in exidence. Steak excellent, shrimp with rice and black beans dry. Okra was listed as crispy, was soggy. Will probably try again but use more care in ordering."

"Restaurant week: we decided to try JoJo's during Restuarant Week. We entered in through the bar - which looked like a great spot for a night out with friends. Tons of beer on tap & plenty if room. We found our way to the dining room and we one of only three tables occupied in the place (should have recognized that as bad sign). My kids had burgers which they both enjoyed. My self & the other adult ordered off the Restuarant Week menu. The apps & entrees were awful (zucchini, crab cakes, ribs). Normally I say "we'll give it another chance". But literally I cod not make myself eat there again. The desserts were nice (s'more pie & cheesecake). Overall - enjoy the bar, SKIP the food."

"The best incarnation of this space yet, JoJo has done wonders with the space. The taphouse concept is nice, upscale and appropriate to the times.
We felt like JoJo is allowing her service staff to walk all over her a bit. Time to be the boss! We know JoJo comes from a service background and these employees could even possibly have been her co-workers at one point. She needs to light a fire under them and be the boss of the house. She is covering for them far too often. And her personal service is excellent, but it is hard to watch a new business owner make the transition from line employee to manager."

"We chose JoJo's for Frederick restaurant week and were not disappointed! The menu was varied and appealing. The food was very good. I hesitate to say excellent only because some dishes seemed overly spicy and it was unexpected. Everything was well prepared, presented well and serving sizes were ample. We had bacon wrapped duck, crab balls and stuffed zucchini for our first course. The duck was super spicy yet delicious. The crab balls and zucchini were well prepared. Our entrees were 9oz steak, haddock and baby back ribs. Again, the ribs were super spicy but so delicious and tender. Finally, we tried the pretzel caramel cheese cake, s'mores explosion and bread pudding for dessert. Yum! Staff were fantastic and friendly!"

"Five of us ate in the dining room. For the majority of the evening, we were the only ones there which was a shame. Appetizers ordered (crab dip, wings, tacos) were very good. Main course choices were average except for the turkey sandwich which was very good. Our overall experience was good, but with so many restaurant choices in Frederick, I wouldn't recommend Jojo's as a place to go if asked. One surprise was that a healthy tip was added to our bill. Yes, we would have tipped; however, with there only being five of us, we were surprised to have it automatically included."

"We were a group of 6 and nobody had any complaints. The service was a little slow, but we were forewarned about a large party in the other room. This worked for us as it gave us plenty of time to talk and eat. I would recommend JoJo's Restaurant & Tap House for its fine food and excellent service."

"It took quite a while before we saw a waitress or got seated, but once that happened, everything was fine. Our waitress was knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. We ate in the dining room on a Sunday afternoon and the place was very quiet. Our food arrived somewhat cool but we were too hungry to care and besides, it really was quite good. The bar side had more people but I really enjoyed having the dining room all to ourselves."
