Antonia’s Restaurant, located in the heart of Old Town Key West has been delighting the palates of locals and visitors for over 33 years. The menu at Antonia’s Restaurant offers an array of the freshest local seafood dishes and a variety of traditional meat dishes made from the freshest ingredients prepared daily by our Classically Northern Italian trained chefs. Feeling that dining is an experience to be savored, no culinary experience is complete without wine. In addition to an extensive wine list, full bar is also available.
"We were very disappointed. Salads were soggy and entrees had no flavor. I had fish and my husband had Lamb Shank. My husband and I like to dine and they rushed us through the dinner. We were not even finished with our salads and our entrees were at the table. There was a large party that was coming in and apparently everyone even the Chef knew them so we figured that was why. Would not go back or recommend"

"We were intrigued with the descriptions of Antonia's, particularly the Zagat's rating, and decided to give it a try while vacationing here. The pasta are all homemade and cooked perfectly. The atmosphere is a bit dark, and doesn't quite fit in with the Key West scene. This is definitely trattoria food, so don't expect high-concept dishes. The wines by the bottle are reasonably priced. One of our complaints here - like many restaurants - are over-priced by the glass pours, often more than 5X the retail price. The oyster appetizer was heavy-handed: oysters with lots of melted cheese and pancetta. We could hardly taste the oyster. However, overall, we would give this a 3.5 out of 5, and thought the food was worth the price."

"My wife and I stop here for dinner at least once whenever we are in Key West, this time it was twice. The food and service I find to be the best in Key West. The staff is professional without being over bearing and everything we have tried we have really enjoyed. The wine list has a great balance of domestic and Italian wines. I've tried to recreate a number of dishes at home but it never matches Antonias. The desserts are also terrific. I've sent three of our friends here and they all had the same experience."

"Delicious from start to finish. Homemade pastas and local seafood highlight the menu. Huge Caesar had a unique slightly sweet twist to the traditional flavor profile and was great. Excellent service and comfortable setting offer a relaxed alternative to rowdier places right in heart of Duvall Street."

"Very good Italian restaurant right on Duval St. in Key West. They manage to keep it quiet and quaint inside with all the activity going on out on Duval St. Worth a try if you are in the mood for pasta, as they make it fresh daily."

"A pleasant surprise. Food and service was excellent with great atmosphere. If back in Key West I would definitely put it on my list of places to dine."

"I reserved the day prior to my son's 15th birthday (2 adults, 2 fifteen year-old boys). From the moment we arrived, we enjoyed a magnificent experience. The reserved table was ready, set for the proper number of guests and decorated in an appropriate and whimsical fashion. The escort was gracious and the principal server arrived almost immediately thereafter. Initial beverages and wine arrived with appropriate timing. Arrival of the main course was leisurely and comfortable; plates were presented simultaneously and we did not need to prompt staff concerning who had ordered what dish. Desserts were offered within a comfortable time after plates were removed. Manager visit was cordial and genuine. The food was OUTSTANDING."

"We started coming to Antonia's in the 1980s, before a fire gutted the place. The New York Times ran a short news story on the blaze in its main news section -- a testament to the restaurant's popularity with the intelligentsia. It was a standout, with very fresh and beautifully prepared entrees as good as you'd get at the very best restaurant in Tuscany, with truly smart, professional no-baloney wait staff. Not a melted cheese and sea of tomato sauce kind of place. Antonia rebuilt, a nearly exact (though very slightly larger) replica of the building that burned. She sold it in the 1990s and we have been anxious ever since but rewarded when we return every year to find it nearly as good as ever. Still the best Italian restaurant in South Fl."

"Antonia's is on Duval Street and is an upscale Italian restaurant. We were pleasantly met by a friendly host and led to our seats. He was just the start of excellent service. Every worker we met there was not only friendly but prompt with service and really seemed to like his/her job. The food was great. The fettuccine special was delicious and made to order. The lasagna and other regular fettuccine meals were hot and delicious. Brushetta was perfectly made with just the right amount of tomatoes and spice. The restaurant filled up quite quickly but was never noisy."

"We have been eating here regularly for several years. While still being one of Key West's better restaurants, we feel Antonia's has lost something over the past couple of years. Both our entrees were not as we ordered and despite very good service and ambience, we were left somewhat disappointed. In a town full of great dining establishments, and as a visitors with limited time to spend here, we'll give Antonia's another try next year and hopefully it will be better. Otherwise, there are many other establishments to choose from."

"been here many times and usually love it so much. Service is always the best. Bartender is reallly nice and the wine list is great. my only complaint is the food is so good but this is the second time that it was not very good. lacked seasoning and far from the way the food normally tastes."

"All was well. My only issue was our server was in a rushed mode and I was disapointed with a $125.00 tip (35%) I did not receive a Thank-you. This seems to be common today and I keep thinking why not leave 15%. It is a shame owners risk so much and the kitchen does a great job to have a server not do the job they are being paid well to do and make the evening a great experience. If I were the owner I would constantly review the basics and if any team member did not want to do the job correctly they should move on since this can be a reason for a customer to not return or recommend. We have had many great experiences at Antonia's however it is on my watch list for future visits. I hope this comment may help with your survey."

"We had a meal here that was fine, but not memorable. If you want a traditional American Italian meal in a quiet restaurant then this will do -- but it is not for people who are into their food and wine."
