Experience downtown dining in this bright contemporary restaurant that garnered LS3P Associates an ASID Merit Award in Institutional Design. Located in the Culinary Institute of Charleston’s Main Campus, skilled CIC students produce and serve the creative cuisine. Diners may select either a day featuring the diverse dishes of the Americas produced by Chef Donald Barickman’s American Regional Cuisine class or one featuring the global flavors of world fare from Chef Kevin Mitchell’s International Cuisine class. Offering both lunch and dinner service, The Relish Restaurant Group® Dining Room provides the most attractive value and venue in the neighborhood. (Please note: Because both the dining rooms and the student-run kitchens of The Relish Restaurant Group® Dining Room and our sister restaurant 181 Palmer are classrooms, the days and hours of operation are determined by the college’s calendar.)

"Had a good experience at Relish. This was my first time. I wasn't crazy about the food, but that had more to do with the theme of that night, than how it was prepared, which was exquisiite! All of the flavors were wonderful!I especially love how when I asked for coffee with my desert, they were more than willing to oblige. Although the coffee was cold, which is never good, it was served in a beautiful coffee cup and saucer. The presentation of all of the food was outstanding. The staff was good, although after they serve you, they stand around ackwardly waiting and starting at you, and whsipering amongst themselves which is a little unnerving, but they are students, and they are stil learning. They were very polite though!"

"Relish is tucked inside of the Charleston Culinary School at Trident Technical College...it's notable features are the fact that you can watch your food being prepared on he big screen televisions that give diners a peek into the kitchens. As someone interested int he mysterious world of cuisine, I found this educational feature, fascinating.
We were pleased with the wonderful tamales, the drunken chicken and the absolutely fabulous Tres Leches Cake with mango and fruit coulis.
However, we were disappointed in the wait staff. It was a festive occasion---my sonsd 26th birthday...we brought a birthday cake, yet the server never acknowledged the cake or offered to serve it...and no mention was made of the birthday...nor was any attempt a"

"Relish is the restaurant run by the culinary and hospitality students and professional chefs at Trident Tech. You are given a 3 course meal (occasionally 4 courses, including dessert), and are given a choice between two different items per course. A professional chef oversees everything, and the food is absolutely delicious -- something you would expect from the best restaurants. The hospitality students act as servers, and really do an excellent job. The table settings are beautiful, and the restaurant has a great ambience. It is perfect for two up to groups of 5 or 6. Absolutely fabulous restaurant!!"

"We really enjoyed the super food that the students cook and serve here and it was fun to watch them in the kitchen preparing our meals. The dining room is attractive and there is free parking. The $12 price for three courses can't be beat. Relish is a real asset for North Charleston!"
