"The food was very good with many choices. Our waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable. He answered our many questions. The choices were excellent with something for everyone, including vegetarians. We were surprised at the time it took for the whole dinning experience due to the wait time between courses.. Would go back again, knowing the time it would take."

"My wife wanted to do something different for Mother's Day dinner and she gave me hints about the Melting Pot. We like fondue and have it at home for special events. We found that the menu had many good options, but with the Mother's Day special. That was an excellent choice. Our kids also joined us and also liked the the Mother's Day special. We liked the pace of the dinner and enjoyed having a relaxing time eating and talking. We were there for about three hours and everyone in our family left with a smile on our face. We will eat there again."

"This was our first experience at this type of restaurant, but it certainly won't be the last. The food was outstanding, the service impeccable, and the atmosphere was pleasurable. We celebrated our daughter's graduation from Michigan and I think we picked the best restaurant in Ann Arbor. We had so much fun, it capped off a perfect day."

"I took my girlfriend here to celebrate the end of her semester, and oh my god. It was beyond delicious. Our waiter, Dan, was fantastic, and very helpful in explaining the menu and recommending food. Every course was outstanding, and we didn't want the evening to end. The portions were generous, the cocktails were delicious, and I'd certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet night out with scrumptious food. We were seated in Lover's Lane, a private booth with our own little burner for the fondue. The music was a little questionable, it was a bit like elevator music, but it was a delightful evening overall."

"Dessert was AMAZING:))))))) We had a cozy spot in the back and a great waiter. He was a bit busy at first but once it slowed down a bit, he took the time to make it a fun experience. Management stepped in and helped out which we totally appreciated even though we were not in a rush. Lovely ambience and mood for a romantic birthday with my soon to be husband. ENJOY!"

"We had a reservation at 7pm and weren't seated until 7:35 then we had to wait another 10-15 minutes for the waiter to appear. It took a long time to receive our drinks then once he brought our cheese he didn't bring any silverware or napkins until we asked. We also repeatedly asked for waters and our waiter said they had run out of glasses. We had gone for a birthday celebration and they didn't do anything special, unlike our experience 3 months earlier which had been much better."

"As a chain, this place belongs more in Briarwood Mall than on Main Street. They covered up the architecture of the historical building with some cheesy chain decor and our table was in a back hallway facing a wall. They also don't source their meat well-the filet mignon, of which they gave me about 4 oz. was so chewy that I couldn't swallow it. The only item on the menu that I would actually recommend is the dessert fondue."

"It was in an inconvenient spot downtown in ann arbor. The restaurant had a horrible set up. The waiter was rude and took forever and was of little to no help with anything. He didn't offer to bring us more food for the chocolate which I had been offered EVERY other time I had been tot he melting pot in Cleveland, instead he turned burner off did not say a word and took our chocolate fondue. Left the place wishing I had just made the two hour drive to go to the melting pot in Cleveland which was a much better place in every way imaginable. If left with the choice to go to Ann Arbor or make the trek to go to the Melting Pot in Cleveland again, I will not hesitate in the extra hour drive just to never go back to that place ever again"

"We have been to the Melting Pot several times in various locations and always enjoyed it. After our recent experience we probably won't return. They have changed their menu which both the hostess and server proudly told us about. While it may offer more options, the price seems to have increased considerably. We had reservations and were promptly seated but an hour later when no food had arrived we spoke with the management. Awhile later we received our appetizer fondue and salad at the same time. The food was (finally) enjoyed but the poor service is what we remember. After we finished our entree and dessert we wondered if service would have been better if we hadn't been tucked away in the corner where we were forgotten."

"This was a very wonderful experience. The service was excellent and the food was fabulous. This is a total fondue experience. If you have at least 2-3 hours to spend enjoying a good meal and excellent wine selection, then this is the perfect place. We chose two different entree combinations and both were excellent. There is a choice for every pallet. The flaming turtle chocolate fondue was the perfect end to a perfect evening. We will definitely dine here again."

"The food and experience were pretty excellent for my girlfriend, the problem was that our server had the responsibility of a huge table in the other room, which meant they commanded more of his attention and our service suffered a bit."

"The ambiance was very nice, but the cost for the food was rather expensive without getting much for what you pay, also the service is good but very slow. You have to pay per person but don't get a per person serving on the cheese or chocolate- for example, we paid for 2 people for the chocolate but only got the same amount of chocolate we would have received had we paid for 1 person and we had to split the items dipped (one piece of cheesecake instead of two, not many strawberries, etc.). We weren't impressed by the lack of food for the expensive price, which may keep us from going again. But it was a unique experience and the quiet, closed off tables made for a nice evening out."

"Had a very enjoyable first experience. Didn't know what to expect, but the waitress helped us through everything and was very patient. They had amazing food and it was also a very romantic sitting. Definitely worth taking your significant other."

"This was our first time at the Ann Arbor location. We have been to the Novi location multiple times and have always had a pleasant expierence. There was a bit of confusion in the beginning of our service at the Ann Arbor location. I believe they were short staffed. First the manager took our drink order and asked us all the questions. We got our waters but still had the specialty drink waiting. Then another waiter came with more waters and was acting like we haven't been talked too. It was confusing and he had to try and recover the situation. I ended up getting the wrong drink but didn't make a fuss. Service was pretty good other then that. My husband to order a refill on his beer and never received that. Food was great though"

"Our waiter was very slow, we were there for 3 Hours..yes 3 hours, he could remember what we ordered, the food was just so so, wasn't given much directions on how to cook the food. Our table was at the top of the stairs, so everyone looked at us as they came up the stairs."

"Great service for a hallmark holiday weekend, service was good, slow at times but that was due to the fact that we were on the third floor and the kitchen was on the first, so it wasn't a big deal. Courteous staff, and very friendly - also knew the menu very well and gave great recommendations for the meal. I will definitely return again."

"Had a wonderful time. This was more an event than a meal. The small booths are secluded, but still accessible. Our only complaint was that once the place had pots on all the tables, it was incredibly warm and we didn't get our ice waters refilled."

"It was our first time dining there, and I had heard great things. The food was very good, the service was also good, but slow. I attribute that to it being a Sat. night and very busy. The only thing that was not good was where our table was located. We definitely got the worst table in the whole restaurant. So, if you reserve, ask to be downstairs. We got stuck upstairs, where there are only 4 booths, and ours was at the top of the stairs. So, not only did we have people going up and down for the 2+ hours we were there, it's also closest to a private room, and people were in and out of there all night. Ughhh. That's my only complaint."
