"We had a wonderful meal however the service was not very good. We had to keep tracking down our waitress to get drinks, ketchup, our bill, etc. then we had a $75 bottle of wine on our bill that we didn't order. I would go back again because it was very good food and great ambiance. Hopefully it was just an off night for the service."

"We went to this new restaurant/music venue a few months back and enjoyed the experience, but felt it was a little unorganized. We went again last weekend and had the best time. It's casual, but warm, the food was excellent (in particular the salmon) and the service was friendly. Music came on around 8pm and just made the night. Haven't been to a place where music and dining create such a great package experience. We bought tickets for 'Asleep at the Wheel' in July. It was a little loud, but fun for a Sat night. We will be back!"

"Great Food, Great Service, and mouth watering food and drinks. We can't say enough good things about the Ranch and Reata Roadhouse. One of the best dining experiences we have ever had. The live music was phenomenal the atmosphere was welcoming and the Staff was as friendly as can be. We highly recommend this place! By far the best Steak on the central coast!"

"There is too much to write as to what went wrong.........may have been top 3 worst dining experiences of my life. Took 1.5 hours to get food, food to tough to eat and once we got food was being pushed out the door to make room for dance floor."

"This is a western style bar/restaurant with a performance stage. There was a duo playing/singing the night that we were there and the music was a bit overpowering for the small venue. The meal that we ordered, slipper snapper, was not at all to our liking, and the manager was more than willing to give us another menu selection without charge. We ordered the battered fish and chips and it was quite good."

"When we dined there on Mother's Day, it was 98 outside and all the doors were wide open. It was very warm inside the restaurant and not at all comfortable. In addition, the restaurant was out of almost everything we tried to order. Not prepared well at all for such a big day."

"The ambiance was fine but everything else was fair to poor. When we got there the kitchen wasn't open so we decided to be seated anyway and have a cocktail. The bartender came over to take our drink order and then came back to tell us they were out of a beer my husband ordered. When my husband questioned him he got very surly and we never saw him again. The service was poor even though there were only 3 other tables and us. I ordered another drink from the waiter and never saw it. They had a very limited menu and had run out of several items so not alot to choose from. The food was greasy and bland. This was my Mother's Day dinner and I was sorely disappointed with the poor customer service and tasteless food. You didn't make my day special"

"In Santa Ynez it's not uncommon to see locals riding horses down the main drag (One of them might even be me!). Ranch and Reata is a great fit in this town. On a recent Saturday night, in the middle of Rancheros Visitadores Week, the place was a sea of cowboy hats. There was a great country band up on stage. There were whoops and hollers and a whole lot of drinking doing on. All this could have been a nightmare but the place is so well run that it was nothing but fun. Our sweet waitress found her way to us right away and took orders promptly. There was a special of Wild Boar Chops. They were tasty as heck. The live music and the packed bar don't prepare you for how good the food is. They even let me in with my spurs on. Whoooeee!!!"

"We came kind of last minute and even though they were having a band that night they made room to accommodate us. That goes a long way in my book. Food was great, service was equally good. And the show was very enjoyable. Thank you Ranch & Reata Roadhouse."

"Bruce and his staff are friendly, observant, attentive, and courteous. The restaurant brings in top national acts as well as up and coming local artist. Try the PORK or anything else on their menu, the Elk is great too!"
