The all-new Bacchanale is a modest Italian restaurant from the team that launched django’s restaurant at the base of Mt. Crested Butte in 2008. Our fresh and light menu will re-introduce you to simple flavors, colorful salads, artisan flatbreads and handmade specialties.
Our comfortable atmosphere will entice you to come every day. Join us nightly for dinner from 5-10pm, and pick your favorite spot: at the bar, the community tables, along the banquette benches, in our private dining rooms, or on the balcony overlooking it all.
During the summer, bistro seating on Elk Avenue let's you watch the action, enjoy the sunshine and surf the web, all while enjoying a Campari & soda.
At 7am every morning, we're up again to serve you organic coffee, fresh house-made pastries, and specialty breakfast items.
"We ate at Bacchanale's both nights we were in Crested Butte. I cannot say enough good things about the staff and the owner. They definitely made us feel like locals! We started off with their flatbreads both nights and this is an outstanding choice. A couple of their main dishes I would rate as okay, but everything else was excellent. We look forward to a return to Bacchanale's!"

"What a fantastic evening we had at Baccanale! The menu choices were interesting, fresh and delicious. All of the staff were incredibly friendly and made for a warm and inviting evening. The decor and ambience were lovely and the wine list is excellent! We would definitely go back again and again. The prices are VERY reasonable.
Thanks for a wonderful evening and visit to Crested Butte!"

"To begin, we had reservations 7:15 but were not seated til abt 7:40. Food - meatballs - fair, chicken was undercooked, potatoes hard and not cooked. We had one in our party order lasagna but we not told for 15 min that it was no longer available. Our appetizer plates were not cleared from table when entree arrived.......empty wine glasses not cleared from table....we had to ask each time to have plates and glasses cleared from table. Server was nice and pleasant. New restaurant - hope you listen to our review. Thanks."

"Great new looking rsstaurant. This is not the old Baachanale. New owners and totally revived. We went twice to Baachanale during over vacation since we liked the experience the 1sdt time. We nnjoyed the small plates better than the entrees. Chololate desert was great"

"Main courses were brought while we were in the middle of our appetizers. When we did eat the main courses they were, both, under seasoned and tasteless. Will not go back, again."

"We had a fine Friday evening meal at Bacchanale. We made a reservation for our group of four and this was a good plan. Tables for two seemed be be available but tables for larger groups were full. Upstairs dining and downstairs. We had eaten here before and found the tables, downstairs, were close together so the private dinner for two could be affected. I'd suggest staggering the seating when possible. Our waiter didn't do a great job of explaining the menu but it didn't affect our night. Wait assit staff kept our water filled and were very pleasant."

"Good Food. Service and atmosphere good. Have never been in an Italian Restaurant where bread, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, or at least butter were served. Appetizers and Entrees were very meager. Thinly sliced salami and cheese along with a jar or black olive tapenade with four small slices of toast. It was strange eating delicious tapenade with a fork. Entrees were small portion with no accompainments of pasta, potatoes or breads. The wild boar sausage entree was very good, but was served without a spoon to eat watery beans. A little orzo or mashed potatoes would have been nice. Bread is the least expensive item a restaurant can serve. Please find a supplier and add it to the menu."

"The food - once it arrived - was excellent. We waited a very long time for our food - the owner came by to tell us that the "kitchen is backed up." This resulted in sitting for a long period of time with nothing to eat. Since the restaurant does not serve bread (hard to believe!!) but only packaged bread sticks (which were gone very quickly), we were without any food for a long tine. Once it arrived, the food was excellent - meatballs wonderful. The owner did offer to "comp us" desserts, but after sitting for so long, we were anxious to leave. Good food but need better kitchen management."

"Kate and Chris have done it again! The owners of Djangos have brought their unique fare to Elks Avenue. Fabulous food that is not your typical Italain fare, great ingredient combos and wonderful wines to accompany your meal."

"Could not have had a better dining experience !!! Started with the "Build Your Own Bruchetta" which, if we had expanded with more toppings, could have been a light meal when accompanied with a nice bottle of wine. The pasta entrees were tasty followed by lovely desserts. We have been Bacchanale diners since the 80's. We have seen it move a couple of times and change ownership. This new ownership will restore Bacchanale to the standing it deserves in Crested Butte."

"Love this place! Food was excellent, and reasonably priced. We brought our friend from Napa, who is a "Foodie" and accustomed to an abundance of 5 Star restaurants. She could not stop raving about Bacchanale. The staff and owner were delightful, and made you feel like you were old friends. We will definitely add this to our list of favorites!"

"music was annoyingly loud and selection could have been more mellow. T-shirts on waiters bar backs seemed inappropriate. lasagna not good. arugala salad not good as lettuce was too stringy and portion too big. brussel sprout salad and linguine with clam sauce was very good."

"This was our first time at the Bacchanale. We shared the flatbreads -- very good. Had the kale, cabbage and beet salad. This was excellent. For the main course, we had the pasta with clams. The dish was very good, but could have been a little larger."
