"Went to the Park Tavern to watch the Bulls playoff game. Full of Bulls fans, Tv's and central sound on the bulls game = great atmosphere to enjoy good company for a Bulls game. Would imagine its the same for the Blackhawks. Excellent craft beer list, including sampler flights. Also had a nice wine list. The had their own signature drinks, I didn't try one this time, but will in the future as I love bourbon drinks and they had two that looked great. The food was awesome. Mexibano sandwich is a must try. Foot Long grilled cheez comes highly recommended by my party (had bacon and eggs on it, and some special sauce). Very nice ambiance and decor, nice place. Definitely will return."

"If you are going to the united center for any event, this is the place to meet. Its within easy walking distance and offers a shuttle for those who would rather ride. Convenient parking in the back and across the street. Nothing to excite the foodie but very good sandwiches and sides. Large selection of beer on tap. Its a big space perfect to meet your large group before or after a game. I will be going back."

"The brisket and the brisket sandwich were phenomenal! The prices were reasonable. The beer and drink selections were great. We did not wait for service at all and actually had many wait staff members stop at our table asking if we needed help with anything. The free parking and the shuttle service to and from the United Center was a HUGE BONUS!! This will become a new favorite stop prior to every United Center we attend from now on!!"

"The food is always excellent here. I have tried 10 or so menu items, and all have been delicious. The service is normally OK as well. I normally visit before Hawks games, so they know they have to keep things moving to get customers in and out. This weekend, we went to Park Tavern before a concert at the UC. Our service was very poor. After we were seated, it took 10 minutes to get our orders taken (which is barely acceptable). But then it took 20 minutes to get our drinks and 35 minutes to get our food (normally 5-15 minutes). Our waitress seemed much more interested in socializing with other waiters than helping her clients. I hope this was a one-time experience, or else we'll have to find a new place to meet before Hawks games"

"Place was packed for the Blackhawk's game, reservations were key as many people walking in looking for tables. Service was a little slow but again, it was really busy so our server was hopping. If nothing else the restaurant maybe could have had some more staff on duty. Food was good, beer selection was outstanding, plenty of televisions, good ambiance.
Free shuttle to and from the Hawk's game, indoor validated parking ($8.00 for 5 hours!!) right across the street (Chicago got 10 inches of snow on the night we were there so the indoor parking was awesome).

"This was my first time at Park Tavern and I'll be honest, I began thinking of other places to go when I walked up to the place and saw the outside. It does not look like it would be anything other than a dark and dingy tavern located in the corner of a 1930's hotel like the Blackstone.
But once through the front door, everything changed. The place is very large and airy - and let in plenty of sunlight despite the overcast day. The food was delicious as they smoke all of their meats in-house and even do a PBR-can chicken I hear (I'll try it next time). I imagine the place is packed for Bulls games given its proximity to the UC.
Limited vegetarian options, but very impressive tap-beer selection."

"Just had pre united center drinks and dinner Great location within walking distance of the UC. They also have a free shuttle that is super convenient. Great food, awesome beer selection. Welcome addition to an otherwise wanting dining scene near the united center. Great meeting up pre and post games."

"Very poor service. Upon arriving it took nearly 10 minutes for our drink order to be taken and I asked how the Acai berry cosmopolitan was in comparison to a normal cosmo. My server told me very similar and not too sweet. She probably never tasted one, it was awful. The server didn't come back to check so I waited 10 minutes and I then went to the bar and waited another 10 minutes to have the bar tender change my drink. As I was waiting a manger came by and yelled at the wait staff. My server saw me standing at the bar and said nothing. She never even made mention that next time she came by the table that I had a different drink. She then took our order and two dishes out of four came out wrong. I wouldn't go back based on service"
