Felidia is located in a converted Brownstone on 58th Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenues. Opened in 1981 by Lidia Bastianich, Felidia offers a warm atmosphere where you can still find Lidia greeting guests and fans. Executive Chef Fortunato Nicotra has been with Felidia since 1996 and has brought an innovative touch to traditional ingredients and dishes from all the regions of Italy. Some of the restaurant's signature dishes include pear and fresh pecorino ravioli, veal shank ossobucco and limoncello tiramisu. Felidia also offers a delicious three course price-fixed lunch, Monday - Friday for $29.50 per person, making the restaurant great for business lunches or just a nice afternoon treat. For parties of 8 or more, Felidia offers our group dining menu rather than the a la carte menu. The group dining menu is a four course menu and includes our most popular dishes and seasonal favorites for $90.00 per person.

"It's been a couple of years since we'd been to Felidia, and my wife and I enjoyed it immensely. It was crowded, but that's what one should expect at 8 o'clock on a Saturday evening. We got plenty of attention from the wait staff, and the pace of course presentation was just right. Oh yeah, and the food was well worth the price. We'll be back."

"Our selection of Felidia this time was a last minute plan to meet with a client in the area and having dined there before I knew it would not disappoint.

The staff made us all feel special and were very helpful in every aspect of the service they provided.

Felidia's menu selection is superb and each dish description made my mouth water from line to line.

"We weren't very lucky with our choice of menu: my wife's Paglia e Fieno tuned up to be a Tagliatelle instead ogf a Fettuccine with peas...which was average and my Fegato di Vitello was too rare. When I asked for it to be cooked ato Medium it took more than 15 mins to reappear..!
The service was attentive and courteous. A bit too noisy because one or two tables spoke very loudly."

"From a food perspective I was quite impressed as it lived up to the expected standards but the service did not.

We arrived at around 7:45pm and did not leave the restaurant until 11pm. After our entrees had arrived, it seem liked the whole wait staff forgot about us. We sat at our table well over 40 mins before someone came to clear our plates. We sat and we sat and no one was stopping. I saw two other couples who came in after us leave. I didn't even bother ordering dessert or coffee because I was afraid I would be there for 4+ hours.

Not to mention that the waiter was not friendly and personal and didn't even seem like he cared that I gave him an attitude when I asked for the check."

"From the moment you enter Felidia, you experience a warmth that envelopes you for the rest of your experience there. If I could give this as many stars as I wanted to, the galaxy wouldn't suffice. This IS the best meal I've ever had in New York City...possibly anywhere in the United States.

The service is fabulous...perfect...not to much...not to little...the food was breath taking. I mean, bring out the fans, I might pass out from delight at Felidia's amazing palette. ALL delish...we ordered four dishes....I cannot begin to think of how anyone would find a single flaw in a flawless experience.

GO! You'll love it and me for telling you how incredible your experience will be! LOL!"

"It was the best lunch for the value and the service was efficient and the menu was extensive. The pasta dishes were delicious, the tagliatelle and pappardelle pastas were aldente and infused with flavor. The fish dishes were all moist and tasty. 2 of my guests had to go back to work and they were able to leave after finishing a three course lunch on time. I am astounded that we can still find a $30.00 luncheon of this quality in Manhattan. The restaurant was most accommodating when I needed to change the time of the reservation and also in adding an additional guest. Really enjoyed dining at the restaurant."

"My sister and I took my mom out for her 75th Birthday. Service was impeccable, very extensive wine list.
Branzino was absolutely delish, as was the grilled seafood platter. Homemade spincach tagitelle with a duck

"I took two out-of-towners in search of delicious homemade pasta and Felidia did not disappoint! My duck pappardelle pasta and blueberry tart were outstanding, and the olive oil tasting was extraordinary!! I also tried my friend's pear ravioli and it was exquisite. I was super impressed with the army of servers we had. I did feel a little rushed to leave by the waitstaff, and the air conditioning was either freezing or not on and stuffy (we sat upstairs, so maybe this isn't the case downstairs), but the food was so great it was easy to overlook those two small side issues. I look forward to going back! It's a beautiful space and the food and service is wonderful."

"Went the day before Mothers Day. The table ordered the Chef's tasting menu, and boy was it worth it! Some of the best food I have ever had, and my mother was over the moon about it. The service was very attentive, and the sommelier was outstanding - brought over each wine, explained where it was from, what she expected us to taste, and why she chose it for the food we had. I had been to Felidia's 2x in the last 5 years, the last being about 3 years ago, and I honestly do not remember the food being THIS outstanding.

Having said that, the space is pretty tight, and if you have a large group next to you, hope they are not loud. The chairs are also not very comfortable if you are over 5'7 or have extra weight on you. Overall, loved it."

"Phenomenal! Have been to Felidia a few times now and each experience has been a culinary delight. This time I started with the carpaccio--melt in your mouth filet. Then I had an appetizer portion of one of the signature pastas, cacao et pere. Felidia does an innovative twist on this traditional cheese and pepper pasta by stuffing ravioli with creamy pear! The result is fantastic, a slightly sweet filling perfectly complemented by the pecorino cheese. Finally for my main dish I tried the grilled seafood. Again, phenomenal. An overflowing plate with scallops, shrimp, calamari, lobster, and razor clams, perfectly grilled and tender, and lightly flavored with garlic. If you are a seafood lover, this is a must try dish!"

"The food was very good however I think it is over rated. There are so many talented chefs now that don't get the recognition like Lidia, Mario Batali, Wolfgang Puck etc. My husband and I were not impressed with the service. At first they put us at a ridiculous table that was upstairs and in a small room with about 5 tables. The table overlooked the main dining room where the lighting was warm and the atmosphere was bustling. The area we were seated at was dark, dingy, cold and out of character for a restaurant of this caliber. They moved us upon request which was nice. Most of the wine on the menu was $80 up to $1200. There were about 5 bottles to select from around $65 which was resonable"

"Love this restaurant. The pasta is out of this world. Entire menu is great but I tend to always order the same pasta dish (cacio e pere). Great service and ambience. Have never had a bad experience here. Waiters and servers are exceptional - not stuffy and never overbearing. Wish I could eat here every night !!!"

"The white wine I ordered arrived unchilled. Instead of telling me so I could choose another they opened the bottle, poured me a glass, told me it was warm and said they would cool the rest in an ice bucket. When I ordered the salmon they did not ask me how i wanted it cooked. The result was that the salmon arrived over cooked and unseasoned. For a restaurant with high expectations they have low end results."

"We really enjoyed our first visit to Felidia's, the food was delicious,though portions were small, and service was impeccable. I also have to mention that we were served too quickly. We were done with dinner, 4 courses, in about and hour and 15 minutes. It was our 25th Anniversary and we wanted to take our time and enjoy the evening. I guess in such a popular place like Felidia's tables need to be turned quickly."

"Restaurant was quiet, and cozy. At first we were seated at a table next to a heat vent. When we asked could they please
Turn the heat down they moved us to a different table that was perfect. The food was everything we hoped for, from the amazing
Beef tartare through the homemade pasta with spring vegetables and finally the best of all, whole roasted Bronzino!
The service was flawless. We were there for two plus hours enjoying every bite and never did we feel rushed! The recommended wine
From Lydia's wines was a perfect match for our dinner. We had high expectations going in and were not disappointed,

"Felidia Restaurant is a survivor! After 30 years, it still shines. The food has always been exceptional, but lunch was one of the best bargains in town. The price is $29.50 for three courses, and despite the supplements on some of the items, you can still find excellent choices for an extremely reasonable price. Lidia was there and visited our table, which is always a nice touch (we had met her in the past). We loved it to much, we are returning Tuesday night with friends from out of town, who will love it!

"Still, lovely pastas, which often shine above other items. The wine list is probably the other highlight - after Del Posto it's probably one of the more extensive italian list in town. Seating is a challenge, as it's a small town house. The main floor may be the most desirable."

"Beautiful atmosphere and wonderful food. On this occasion we were there for lunch. The 3 course $30.00 prix fix was an amazing bargin. The choices were numerous and they served dinner sized portions. I had the grilled octopus appetizer ($8.00 supplement) grilled salmon entree with the appropriate accruements followed by lovely sorbet. Each dish was perfect!"

"FELIDIA'S has always been our most favorite restaurant in NYC and we used to "save" it for very special occasions.Forget that! When we want a perfect meal, we always go to FELIDIA's. It has always been consistently terrific - from the moment you arrive to an enthusiastic greeting all the way to dessert and cappuccino, we love it! It is elegant and you feel pampered by every staff member. The service is extremely attentive without being intrusive. I always get the best Cosmopolitan and it is the only restaurant that carries my husband's favorite ZYR vodka. The staff is knowledgeable about food and wine. We love the breads and the white bean dip. The pastas are heavenly and the truffle dishes/ seasons are the ultimate treat!"

"Took over 30 min. to get our drink order after being seated. Wait staff was not slow, but severely short handed. This is a management problem. I did not blame the servers, but they did apologize for the delay. Otherwise, this is a very nice place, with good food, and service was fine once they were able to get to us. Maybe I expected to much after going to Del Posto the night before."
