"We made reservations in early April thru Open table for Syr Univ graduation weekend. When we arrived, we were assigned an awful table in the bar area right where everyone would be standing as they checked in. Also, the table was bar height with stools with no backs. We complained about the table and were told some convoluted story that seemed to imply that we were assigned that table because we booked through Open Table and not directly with the restaurant. After we continued to complain, we were finally given a table in the front dining room and were told the reason we got that table was that the party assigned to that table was 30 minutes late for their reservation. Fortunately, after this, the food/service was great as always."

"We dined at bc during graduation weekend when only a prix fixe menu was available. The menu offered a perfect variety of choices and all 8 members of our party enjoyed their selections. Service was very efficient for a group our size and we had a wonderful time celebrating my sons college graduation."

"Food is excellent, the wine list is great. Been at lest 10 times & never a bad experience. Some times the waitstaff is a little rough around the edges, a little polish wouldn't hurt. The last couple of times there, the entertainment was excellent. Nice to hear enjoyable dinner music."

"Being new to Syracuse we were extremely happy with our experience. The salmon and steak entrees were prepared perfectly and the appetizers complemented our meals perfectly (lobster & goatcheese salad, squash & coconut soup)... the coffee and cheesecake were a perfect cap to the evening. However, the shortrib gnocchi was fantastic and my boyfriends steak was tender and cooked perfectly.

"We had excellent service at the restaurant. Chris was our server and he was friendly, amicable and informative. While the food was good, it was very small servings. Perhaps this had to do with the Dining Syracuse event? Not too sure about that. Tables close to each other in the front, which seems to be set up for couples and small parties, but doesn't promote intimate. Cute little bar scene, with a very nice bartender that night we were there."

"It was bad... Very very bad. My husband's lobster Mac and cheese was extremely dry, not cheesy at all, and had two pieces of lobster in it total. My steak, although cooked medium rare as ordered, was extremely chewy ($26 steak) and tasted like a $10 steak form Outback. The crab cake for an app was ok, nothing wrong with it but nothing impressive either.
The service was also HORRIBLE. We had reservations, but were not seated until 30 minutes after our reservation time. It took almost an hour after that to even give our waiter our entree orders (since he just didn't come back after the app). The bartender actually brought our app to us, the bus boy cleared the plates, someone else poured some water... But no waiter. Won't be back."

"The food was excellent (pricey though). I would only go here for a special occasion. My only problem was there was no real waiting area (and there's usually a wait) and the bar is very small with a single bartender who can't keep up with the people waiting. "I was very pleased with the overall experience. This was the first time I had a lobster and goat cheese salad which was very good. The other salads ordered by my business associates (Caesar and arugula were also very good). I had the peppercorn tuna, rare, which was outstanding and one of the best I have ever had! The gnocchi, salmon and NY strip steak also received outstanding reviews.
The wine menu was reasonable in depth and the prices were generally very attractive. You need to definitely put this on the must dine list!"
