"McAdoo's has a fair good selection of Cajun specialities (Red Beans & Rice, Cajun Rice, Crawfish Boil) as well as a TexMex twist to Louisiana's dishes such as crawfish enchiladas, blackened fish tacos, etc. I usually browse in the selections of fish and crab legs, yum!
For dinner, I shared the crawfish boil with my wife. It had shrimp, potatoes, corn, and crawfish! At first, the boil was surprising not as spicy as I had expected from the beginning, but it came after downing a few of the delicious crawdads! It is a definite must during season, if not, try the tempting fish selection!"

"Food outstanding. Wedge lettuce with blue cheese best I have ever eaten. Entree of shrimp melts in mouth. Potato wedges to die for. Noise level a bit high but tolerable. Best food in New Braunfels ..service prompt and efficient."

"My husband an I spent our 1 year anniversary here and we were not disappointed. Great food and drink. I had the chiliean seabass and my husband had the pan seared Alaskan halibut. Both highly recommended. The service was amazing! We sat in the bar area because our table wasn't ready when we arrive, but wasn't a problem. Beautiful building inside and out, a great atmosphere! Our entire experience here was overall perfect and we can't wait to go back."

"McAdoo's Restaurant is very pretty, very welcoming. The service is very good. Do try a Bloody Mary. McAdoo's has a unique twist on the Bloody Mary concept. They have a dressing bar. You get your drink - you pick the kind of tomato base and the type of Vodka, and then go to the bar to dress it.
We had the steak and eggs (from the brunch menu)and shrimp gumbo, stuffed shrimp, and a Cajun enchilada from the lunch menu (the very best enchilada I have ever had). All good but pricey. This is great place for a special occasion.
For a less filling alternative, just get the Bloody Mary and an appetizer! Perfect!!"

"I made this reservation for my daughter and her prom date. We knew they'd love it because we've visited as a family. We drive in from San Antonio and it's well worth the trip. Great food and service. Working on getting our friends to join us at McAdoos after church one Sunday."

"This is great restaurant-the food is simply outstanding!. They had a bad day (or i did) when it came to the service, though. Hostess forgot about us and was seating couples that arrived after we did (even though we had a reservation). Waiter was good, but got stuck witha big table and kind of put us on the back burner. Kitchen was not slammed, but it took over 45 minutes to get two simple entree's. The food was perfect, the Eggs Benedict crab cakes were out of this world. Gotta give them a try."

"While our server and hostess staff was pleasant and gave good recommendations I was a little disappointed that despite making an early (6pm) reservation we were told when we arrived they were "out of menus." That wouldn't have been an issue in itself, except we were asked to wait for our table (we were with our young daughters for a Daddy/Daughter Sance). This, coupled with what was obviously a busy restaurant, made it obvious they had oversat their floor. Personally I'd would have preferred to have been told the truth, been offered a complimentary drink at the bar or appetizer, and just gotten a simple apology. Things like this happen in the industry and it would be my advice to management to train staff the proper way to deal with it."
