"Thank goodness that Chef Alvin has returned to Ponti! The fish was cooked perfectly, the mashed potatoes were elevated to heavenly, rich clouds once again! We happened to be there on a night where we received 30% off on Washington wines so we sprung for a fantastic D2 from Delille."

"Service was excellent as was the food. We had the mahi mahi and the cod followed with a delicious chocolately dessert. People were dressed casual but there were also people dressed up in suits. There is a nice view of the water and the bar is separate from the restaurant. Valet parking available."

"We had a wonderful dinner at Ponti's. Brought in two bottles of wine which they took good care in opening and letting them breathe. We had their salmon and scallops (with curry & penne pasta). All the meals were excellent and prepared just perfect."

"In a group of 20-something professionals, it was clear that we were not the audience of interest at Ponti, and our server treated us as such. Plates were cleared before all diners had finished eating, service was rushed, and attention was minimal. It was disappointing to be treated so poorly. "I. Love. This. Place. They have maintained the quality of food and service over a very long time, and I'm grateful that they're always there and that they never try to coast on their reputation. Terrific seafood, perfectly cooked, and the accompaniments are well chosen and just as good. (My wife had the chicken the last time we were in, so obviously they do other things well.) Wines are available at all price points, and the sommelier is knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. The waitstaff is terrific, too.

As for atmosphere, if you're looking for a place for an occasion that won't cost you a mortgage payment, this is it."

"We had the Cajun prawns, which were delicious, sopping up the sauce with bread. The Ahi and the Mahi Mahi were also excellent - loved the sticky rice in a banana leaf boat!

"We went on a quiet monday. The room was not crowded, and service was personal, attentive and not at all pushy - no annoying upsell push on specials, wine, etc. We greatly enjoyed both the ambiance and the food. Each meal was well prepared and presented. The portions were neither giant overloaded plates, nor tiny minimalist & arty portions - rather each item was perfectly prepared and offered an enjoyable meal."

"We found the service to be attentive, but not exceptional (we had to flag people down several times for coffee refills and to remove empty dishes from the crowded table)and considering the prices we were paying, that was slightly disappointing. In addition, the table for two that we were seated at was so small that we had a difficult time maneuvering around our dishes and glasses; indeed, by husband ended up knocking over his wine glass at one point whilst reaching for his water glass! However, the food was really delicious, beautifully presented and made the most wonderful left overs the next day!"

"I had one of the best and memorable experiences at Ponti's. My girlfriends and I were celebrating our annual Christmas dinner as well as my 40th birthday. Bernie (our server, I hope I remembered his name)was so friendly and helpful and funny. He was very attentive as well as responsive. I want to also thank Ponti's for the complimentary appetizer and for my birthday dessert. I would not hesitate on going back there again for another dining experience. Thank you."

"Overall the experience was good. This was my third time visiting Ponti and the food and service have been consistently good. The only hiccup was that the ran out of clams at 6:00. Given that we are in the Northwest and clams are readily available I can only imagine that this was a ordering mistake."

"It was very nice and the waiter was very attentive and friendly. I had Salmon which was not cooked all the way through so didn't care for that but I ate it anyway. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. I went with a couple of friends and we had a nice visit without alot of surrounding noise."

"Everything was fabulous; service, ambiance, food. The wait staff was so attentive, my water glass was always full, something I appreciate immensely. I had the black cod, my husband had salmon-both cooked to perfection. Buttery in texture as fish should be. The only change on the black cod that would have made my food rating "outstanding" is if less sauce was used. There was too much. The rice was soaked. This however didn't stop me from eating every bite! Thank you."

"We were a bit disappointed to be shuffled to the back room where the view was obscured. We had hoped to impress our guests with a sighting of the Ship Canal.
We came for the Thanksgiving meal and we were somewhat disappointed in the food. The portion size was laughable for the sides. A thimble of cranberry sauce. A tsp of stuffing. A golf ball-sized dollop of potatoes. I mean, come on guys, it is THANKSGIVING. You're supposed to have ample food for all. The steaks had to be sent back because they were rare and cold the first go-round. But they came back cooked, thankfully. Thank you, friendly server. The butternut squash soup was excellent and the pumpkin pie was AMAZING. Overall, the experience was uneven and inconsistent."

"We were at Ponti for a Thanksgiving dinner and it was superb! Service was good but a bit too much hovering by our waiter but manageable. "We visit various 30 for $30 restaurants each year. Ponti is within the top three. Service was perfect. Food was well portioned - not small. Flavors were amazing from appetizer to dessert.
