Mondello Italian Restaurant in the beautiful Seattle neighborhood of Magnolia provides one of the most romantic, most authentic Italian dining experiences in Seattle.

"The food is good, but there's no "wow" factor here. Minestrone was very good as was an appetizer of sliced meats and cheese. But the veal saltimbocca was tough and tasteless. Lower your expectations, and you'll be just fine. Service is friendly"

"For the first time, we were not entirely happy with our dinner at Mondello's. We dined on a Sunday night, service we pretty slow despite the restaurant not being even 3/4 full. More disappointing, we each ordered one of the specials of the night...a halibut dish (overcooked) and a sausage/prawn pasta dish (rather bland and the prawn was literally one single prawn on the side of the dish).
We probably visit Mondello's every month or two and this is the first time we've been disappointed. Hopefully, it was just a one-time problem."

"I love the quaint and relaxing atmosphere of Mondello. It is a perfect neighborhood gathering place. The family owned restaurant has unique and traditional italian fare that was amazing and the atmosphere almost felt like we were in their home. Great for a casual, romantic, or family meal!"

"We've been to Mondello a few times previous in the past two years since our most recent visit, and while the food is still good, it's not as good as when we first used to come. I think they may have changed chefs as the flavor and plating of the dishes (we end up getting the same dishes almost every time) has changed from rustic, homecooked (sort of heaping portions) to trying to be more elegant with (undercooked) roasted vegetables and smaller portions. I liked the rustic iteration of the food and presentation better."

"Fabulous food and perfect ambience at Mondello's is the rule. It is very family friendly but a perfect romantic table for two is always doable. On this occasion we had a new waitress with the charm of an angry Tuetonic warrior which is not usual here. Later family took over our table and the evening was lovely after that. I highly recommend Mondello's, just avoid the tall blonde with the angry look and stick with the family that makes the place."

"This little family-run Italian restaurant is a neighborhood gem in Magnolia. Everything on the menu is good, but the daily specials for this evening were exceptional. I had a butternut squash and almond ravoli with an amaretto sauce that was incredible. My partner had a very good seafood risotto."
