The Bull Ring has been a part of Santa Fe’s Culinary landscape for so long it's hard to think of a time when it wasn't there. The world famous Bull Ring offers all the most popular cuts, ranging in size from the the 8-oz petite filet to an enormous 40-oz porterhouse for two. The Bull Ring prepares steaks in an 1,800 degree grill and serves them on a sizzling hot plate with melted butter. The Bull Ring is also known for their juicy lamb or pork chops, mouthwatering barbecue baby back pork ribs or fresh seafood.
If you are looking for a more casual experience, the lounge is a local favorite, where you can mingle with old friends or make new ones in a Cheers-like atmosphere. The bar serves exceptional pub fare, including the succulent Prime Burger.

"Food was average, but prices were not. $43 for a NY Strip...you would expect a superior cut and outstanding flavor. However, steak quality was slightly better than a mid-range steakhouse (think Texas roadhouse's $18 steak). Waiter seemed to completely forget about us. Overall, experience was average and did not live up to the price tag ($170 for two people). If you're visiting Santa Fe and looking for a superior steakhouse then look elsewhere."

"7:00pm on a Friday night. There was no energy in the place. When there's no energy, you pray that the food is good. The food was good. It was over-priced. There was no energy, crowd ambiance; it lacked an element of passion relative to the dining experience.
The waiters were by-the-numbers on point, but a little too disengenerous, leaving me with the sensation that we were regarded as tourists in our own town.
That said, tourists are getting ripped off. You can get comparable food at Outback for far less money.
The guitar soloist was also by-the-numbers! I couldn't put any money in his tip jar because he wasn't there for me - or for himself!
The Bull Ring lacks SOUL!"

"The service matched the quality of the food, which was excellent. Even though the restaurant was crowded, I still felt an intimacy with our seating. The ala-carte pricing made the meal a bit pricy, but combined with the excellent service and quality of the food it was easy to overlook when we received out bill.
As this was a special occasion ( I am home on leave from Afghanistan ) this was a very nice place to take my sweetheart of 32 years."

"I've been to The Bull Ring once before and it was great! My fiancé and I were in Santa Fe celebrating our 1 year anniversary and I made us reservations to have dinner there to celebrate on our last night in town. The food tasted good, and the service was great, but my fiancé's steak had to be sent back to the kitchen twice because it was so raw. We ordered it medium and it came to the table RARE, twice. It was kind of unacceptable and made me feel down about taking us there for a romantic night and celebration. I would try the restaurant again, but they specialize in steaks and it was a real downer that his food came out that way. Third time was a charm I guess..."

"We went to the Bull Ring before a concert in SF. Even though there were some mixed reviews on other sites we found the service was excellent, the food great, but don't order the escargot in the mushroom caps as there were few snails to be found.
I had tenderloin, petite..he had lamb chops and we split sides of sauteed mushrooms and au gratin potatoes. Potatoes were recommended from previous diners. Very rich and cheesy...truly decadent."
