"I had brunch here on the weekend. Upon arrival, there was only 1 other table occupied in the restaurant. The service was quick and professional. Only complain i had was the soap/cleaner spots on my water glass. Since the server didn't come all too often, i had to switch with the glass on another table. However, i was pleasantly surprised to taste the water was infused with cucumber. What a refreshing treat. I ordered the chicken and waffles, and it was to die for. I was expecting a slightly thicker batter, but it didn't matter since the chicken was probably marinated in brine to keep it moist and tasty after the frying. Overall, i had a good experience at the restaurant."

"I and my friends went to the restaurant for my bday dinner and I had such a great experience. The executive chef, Jimmy is such a talented guy and he delivered us amazing dishes to our table. His mains were outstanding, I would choose scallop and duck dishes as favorites. Their cocktails were great as well with fresh local ingredients. I had one with gin, lemon, and blackcurrent and it was refreshing. For appetizers, please try his artichoke soup, you would not get disappointed. If you are looking for a restaurant with a funky atmosphere but serving amazing dishes then you should give it a shot. In the evening, DJ plays vibes as well."

"This was a random pick and much to my surprise, it's the same location as the place I went to..3 restaurants ago back in the days. Place has a Gothic Underworld look. Even my friend got anxious upon seeing skulls and The Ring-like images on its homepage. Server's exceptionally upbeat and informative in describing our orders. The appiez: Canadian oysters (good), & pine smoked venison carpaccio (gobbled it but wasn't down with the sunflower seeds). My fish wasn't as great cuz I realized I'm not a wide-range fish eating person. (Not the fault of the restaurant's.) My friend's Duck Breast Blood Alley looked like a shoot-out. Definitely a novel meal. Later on, it turned into a banging meat market lounge then we knew we had to bounce."

"Was sat at our table right away and offered drinks promptly, before the drinks even arrived she wanted our food order. Hen we asked for a couple more minutes to decide she disappeared for 30! we flagged her down and ordered food as well as 2 more drinks. The food arrived quickly but had to wait for our drinks this time. We had no cutlery or napkins on the table and I had to get up and find ur server. And then she questioned if I was sure there was none on the table when we sat down!!! Food was terrible drinks we good. Asked for our bill and it took another 30 min to get it, finally the manager brought it over asked how our meal was I said worst service we've ever experience we've had and his answer was oh sorry. Very disappointed!!"

"Great spot. The chef is a great guy who came out and introduced himself. Down to earth and unpretentious which was a nice change in Vancouver. The scene turns more like a predrink destination on the weekend for the Granville set, so if you want a quiet night, aim to be out before 10. The Food, Dj, locale was great for us. Super attentive staff."

"It had a magical ambiance but their menu could use more non seafood options. Also when we went they were out of duck. Food came in tiny portions for big-ish prices. I'd go back for the surroundings, maybe late night to try the poutine! They were really good about making a dish for one of us that has dairy allergies!"

"Enpty for brunch. Music was nice until 1215 when someone decided to crank the volume so the few poeple in the place would have to yell. Two of us liked the food, the other two didn't. I would not rush back."

"This place isn't as great as it used to be, so unbelievably quiet, maybe 5 tables taken the entire time we were there (from 6pm until 11pm) no vibe of any sort. only thing worth while were the drinks and the music playing. after spending $300 for two people and leaving hungry.. we ordered pizza when we got home. might be worth while on the weekend for a drink but id much rather walk down half a block to Boneta or L'abbatoir. used to be a wicked spot and now it's pretty weak."

"You walk in and the entire restaurant is candle lit with friendly servers and an over all romantic feeling. I have never had better food in my life. A relaxed DJ ensures a good playlist while you enjoy your dinner. The chef personally walks out and makes sure every detail is perfect when it comes to your meal. He hand picks ingredients for everything out in one of BC's beautiful forests every morning. Perfect place to go out for a date or to try some new interesting and delicious food. I wouldn't recommend any other restaurant in this city but this one!"
