"The food is okay, nothing special and the service is slow. We stopped in for lunch during the week, and the service was really slow given the relative emptiness of the restaurant. The truffle mac and cheese did not have any truffle flavor, the bun for the BBQ sandwich was totally saturated and soggy, making it impossible to eat as a sandwich. The non-alcoholic drinks were tasty. The mint ice tea was absolutely refreshing."

"If you like pork this place is for you! I have NEVER had such amazing food and I have been to some pretty phenomenal places. My friend and I walked away giddy and giggling over the amazing flavors and textures we experienced in the Tasting Menu option. The braised cheek was amazing, the curry perfect, the fiddleheads yummy and fun, the pork wrapped in pork wrapped in pork thing pure bliss and that wasn't even everything! Then the desserts. Let's just say it was a bit of an out of body experience. Seriously, if you are in DC, you must go to The Pig! Get the Tasting Menu option (your whole table has to do it) and enjoy the bliss, you won't regret it."

"Was seated only when entire party arrived. Even though we had reservation, we still had to wait once party was present. Pretty loud for a Monday night. Was out of my favorite dish (pork belly). Drinks were overpriced, but good. Arugula salad had WAY too much mint. Server was kind to offer us domething else. Could have done without the attitude from some of the staff. Overall good. Used to be one of my favorite places, but there are newer restaurants who do it better."

"Wow! Everything was fresh and flavorful. Great menu with a few "healthy" choices to offset the porkfest royale. Highly recommend the Crispy Pork Shank and all the fixin's. Wonderful meal and competent, pleasant wait staff. Bravo, Pig! We will return!"

"A friend and I had brunch here this past Saturday. We had a reservation, but it seemed like we wouldn't have had much of a wait to get in. The drinks are fantastic and all the mixers are made in house. The waiter asked us if we had any food allergies. I have a gluten and dairy allergy. They take food allergies very seriously and will make sure that each person gets something of equal quality that still fits their dietary needs. The wait staff is very attentive and pleasant. I will be back for sure!"

"We were visiting from out of town and saw a review of this rest. in a magazine. Round 1 consisted of the pork cheek, brussel sprouts and pork and beans. All of those dishes were excellent and I would have ordered them again but wanted to try different stuff for round 2. Round 2 was the mac and cheese, wild boar ragu and meatballs. The ragu and meatballs were good, just not as good as the three dishes in round 1. We were not a fan of the mac n cheese. It was a bit dry and had to wash it down with my cocktail. There was a good atmosphere there. We arrived for an early evening dinner (530pm) so it was not too crowded and service was great."

"I lived in GA for 13 years, where it's safe to say you get a lot of BBQ. I got what should have been standard fare at a place called "The Pig," the pulled pork supper. It was soooo dry, there was no sauce to help revive the poor overcooked meat... it came with mac and cheese... which had a pool if grease in the bottom of the dish, next to no cheese, but was overflowing with breadcrumbs. The best thing on the plate was the collard greens. Given that DC has so many restaurants, I will not be coming back. I've had far better pork elsewhere and for much cheaper."

"I took my mother there for Mother's Day because she really loves hot pastrami sandwiches, and there's is really, really, and I mean really good. The server said that they didn't have it. My mother asked her to ask if there was a teeny tiny corner left. Turned out they didn't have the rye they usually serve on; the kitchen happily made her an (excellent) version on brioche. So good, so accommodating! Also the drinks are great, and so are their burgers and charcuterie. Loved it."

"Food food food. This place is all about, you guessed it, pig. BBQ, curry, and curied meats, the pig was the star of the night. In a comfortable atmosphere you are paying for the food itself and delicious memorable food is what you will get. Great for small-medium groups, family style eating was the way to go, you won't be disappointed. If your veggie or Kosher, while your survive, you probably won't thrive."

"The food had moments of glory: the porchetta, the cheek and the mac and cheese were excellent. The cocktails were well-made and the they have an extensive liquor selection for a relatively small house. I was less impressed with the tails and the crispy brussels sprouts were too salty. I found the menu, though small, rather difficult to navigate; though perhaps I'm just not used to ordering small plates."

"We really enjoyed our meal here - just about everything was very tasty, and we'd order again. "I have been to the Pig multiple times, but this experience wasn't as good as it has been in the past. The server was not as attentive and friendly as usual and not all of the food was up to par, especially the mac and cheese. On a positive note, best bloody mary I have had in a while, the biscuits with ham and honey butter were amazing, and the BBQ pork is juicy and delicious."

"We had dinner here with three generations celebrating a 79th birthday, and everybody loved it. Every dish we had was absolutely delicious and surprising, and the shared dish format made it a very social dinner, and allowed everybody to sample something that they certainly wouldn't have ordered on their own. We will remember it fondly and are already trying to think of who else would enjoy it with us. Need to be somewhat adventurous eaters to really appreciate it, though the side dish of mac and cheese was the best my daughter had ever had and made her completely content."

"For my first time in D.C., the PIG has left a lasting impression for pig cheek. The pig tail was not as good as the cheek, but should try it nonetheless. "The food is delicious and the servers were great. I especially enjoyed the meatballs, braised pork cheek, and the porchetta. The mac 'n cheese and the boar spoonbread were also excellent.
The only drawback was that the hostess would not seat our group until everyone arrived. One member of our group was running behind. For a "shared plates" type of restaurant, it's not like we wouldn't have ordered drinks and started ordering food immediately. I can understand the policy for a tasting menu format, but here? No. We nearly walked out because of the stupidity of the situation."

"The food was good, but the service was cold and unwelcoming. The call to confirm our reservation felt more like a threat to cancel it if we weren't on time (they were stating every restaurant's policy, but their tone was off). The waiter seemed annoyed to take our order. The food was good, the coffee was pretty terrible, but the service experience makes me unlikely to come back."

"I enjoyed a great birthday brunch at The Pig with a large group of my girlfriends. They did a great job of accommodating our group. The Brussels sprouts were to die for! I had the burger topped with pork belly which tasted delicious, but left a heavy feeling in my stomach afterwards. I would go back to try a dinner and some different dishes (I've heard the meatballs are great). Our waiter was nice and brought me two glasses of iced tea when I warned him I drank a lot of it, which I thought was great!"

"My wife and I dined at The Pig for Easter brunch. The service for brunch was good, and our server was pleasant. We started with an appetizer, which was the best part of the meal. Before we finished our appetizer, our main courses arrived. I ordered a dish with a poached egg. Unfortunately, the egg was cooked through and hard. The sausage on my wife's dish was over cooked and dry. We really wanted to like this place and its concept, but it fell short on execution. I don't believe we will go back."

"I had high expectations and I left completely satiated! We had a slew of dishes and everything from the crispy brussel sprouts, porchetta, crispy pig ears, heart tartare and finishing with the orange panna cotta was awesome start to finish. Can't wait to go back and try the boar ragu and pig tails!"

"The food was exceptional. I recommend starting off with "The Big Pig" and to try some local meats, cheeses, and pickled vegetables. I've been several times and neither have let me down. I've tried the Braised Cheek, and the Porchetta and both were exceptional. The cocktails are also good, especially the Filibuster Old Fashioned. I'll be back soon."

"Good food with a menu designed for sharing. Service was a little iffy this time, though I've had good experiences in the past (I think we had someone new). Good cocktails and interesting beer selection. Seating can be a bit tight at some tables if you have a larger group."

"Two times in a week!! First time Thursday AMAZING: Food hot and very inventive. Lamb Merguez, meatballs, No Carolina BBQ with mac and cheese, speciall green chiles roasted amazing, and the piece de resistance crispy brussel sprouts with parmesan.
Second visit Sunday. Food very slow and not hot. No merquez or andouille!! Food delivery Monday. Boar ragu arrived without meat and they fixed it right away. Big points for that. So out of key tasty stuff.
I love Logan and go all the time with friends who live right there But actually like the pig best."
