"Excellent food served fresh and hot at a very good value. Only negative was we felt a little rushed in getting finalized I think due to them being very busy.

"we had a reservation so we only had a 5 min wait to be seated. A good thing since the wait with out reservation was 30-45 min. The service was not bad as much as it was not good. A little slow and I had to remind them to refill the salsa. The app (rolled tacos) was bland. My steak was cooked as ordered and had good flavor. They were very skimpy with the grilled veggies, but the plate looked good (I'd rather be full than have a good looking plate). My wife enjoyed her fajita salad. We had to wait an unusually long time for the check and to pay. To sum it up the food was ok but not what I expect for that price. The service was much less than I expected."

"Sopapilla's is one of our favorites. Southwestern cuisine is always excellent (and a better menu and preparations than a typical tex-mex establishment). Good service. Our reservations enabled us to be seated very promptly (on a busy night). Free sopapilla's and honey at the end are always a delight. Can't wait to return."

"We had a great experience! We had made a reservation and had to wait about 10 minutes for our table-without the reservation we would have had to wait much longer. The staff at the front were extrememly friendly as were the wait staff. The food was great and we would definitely co e back."

"The food here is great, perfect seasoning, and lots of flavor. The taco trio and the baja tacos were awesome. The cucumber margarita was spot on; cool and refreshing, it was stellar. Our waitor wasn't bad, he just didn't seem to care, but he was still attentive and efficient. The hostesses were delightful, this will surely go into our regular restaurant rotation."

"Food was delicious but we had to wait WAY too long for 2 beers and a glass of red wine. It was at least 15 minutes before the beer was delivered and another 5 minutes before the first glass of wine was delivered to the table...only it was white instead of red. Finally, the red wine was delivered. After dinner, on two separate occasions, two more glasses of red wine were brought to the table. Both times the waitresses (not ours) were told we had not ordered additional wine. Next time we'll have our adult beverages at home and order water with our meal."

"Reservation was for 6.30 pm on a Sunday evening. We ordered drinks almost immediately after sitting down, but it was over 20 minutes until they were delivered. Our server told us they only had one bartender. Considering the restaurant was full (but not stuffed), the manager should have found another bartender. But the margarita was good. I ordered the chile relleno combo plate which included a beef taco and enchilada. The beef taco was awesome, but the chile relleno was average and the enchilada was weak. After living in CA and traveling extensively thru TX on business for 30+ years, I expect to someday find an above average Mexican (or southwestern) restaurant in Nashville. I'll keep looking."

"I was so excited to go here to eat for my birthday. Mexican food is my absolute favorite. We had a 5:30 reservation and ran a little late due to rain, arriving at 5:45. The staff greeted us warmly nonetheless and immediately seated us. Initial impression was that it was a little dark, but cute inside. There seemed to be a LOT of tables crunched into one area, leaving you feeling a bit crowded.
Unfortunately the good experience ended with our warm greeting at the door. The remainder of the night left me feeling sorry that I didn't pick Chuy's or Garcia's for dinner instead.
We were handed some menus and our waitress hastily got us water then disappeared. 25 minutes later we had still not even placed a drink order. I honestly can"

"I've been to Sopapilla's a few times now. The food and drinks are always great, and we never have to wait more than a few minutes for a table. Usually the service is great, but my only complaint from my most recent visit would be that the new waiter that was serving our table hadn't been adequately trained for a Friday night. He forgot to put in our appetizer order, so it ended up coming out with all of our entrees, which ended up being a waste. Other than that, no complaints whatsoever. I will definitely continue to go there, and would recommend that everyone try it!"

"Sopapilla's is usually a great spot, but the service was lacking this time. Our friends' orders were wrongly put into the computer, which left my husband and me eating our meals while they were still waiting on their corrected order. Additionally, we asked the server to split our appetizers down the middle, but they were all put onto our bill. We didn't want to ask her to redo the bill, since we'd waited quite some time to get our checks at that point."

"This place will certainly be on our Friday night rotation. Be warned that the salsa has a pretty good kick to it (not for kids or the meek), but it was great nonetheless. Wine was a bit over-priced, but the food made up for it."

"I enjoyed the creativity of the food and cocktail menus. Food choices included traditional Mexican food such as tacos and burritos, but there are also more creative dishes such as lobster tacos and open-faced blue corn enchiladas (which is what I had). To drink I had a Grilled Pineapple Mojito - yum! The ambiance is cozy, but the decor is fresh and modern. Reservations are accepted so we didn't have to wait to be seated. The staff was basically friendly. Our server was pleasant but didn't seem enthused or outwardly friendly to us. It didn't detract from dinner though. We enjoyed our food and time there and would definitely visit again."
