Wine Cellar Restaurant
Wine Cellar Restaurant, established in 2001, features European and Californian Cuisine. We are located in a 100 year old building in the heart of Historic Downtown Rapid City 1/2 block from the City Centre "Main Street Square" .
Relax in our intimate restaurant at our wine bar, in the main dining room, the cozy indoor back alley or seasonal sidewalk patio. Our talented Chefs will prepare your food to order using the freshest seasonal ingredients including fresh wild-caught seafood. All deserts are house made such as our signature "bittersweet chocolate flourless cake". The wine list changes regularly so that we may offer new wines to our guests as we discover them! About 50 of our wines are available by the glass and taste and we have an exceptional reserve/library/vertical list as well. The beer menu has a variety of the best domestics and imports including seasonal favorites

"Our favorite restaurant had closed so we gave this a shot. We were highly pleased with the food and service. The portions were just right, though if you order a pizza get it for two, not for one. :) We look forward to coming back many times."

"I brought 2 friends to eat at the restaurant last Wednesday. Service was great, food was cold. I was embarrassed as I had talked up the restaurant to my friends. We spent $185 (incl tip) that evening on food and wine and the food should have been perfect. My friends' scallop appetizer was luke warm and their veggies and sweet potatoes cold. They said the chicken dish was good. As for me, I was happy with my order though I have never had risotto that looked more like oatmeal than rice.
When spending as much money as we did, the food should have been as good as the service. I will probably be back as I have enjoyed the restaurant before but I doubt my friends will."

"We had a wonderful time. It was a quiet, intimate dining experience. Ambiance was perfect, wait staff was attentive, we enjoyed the quiet atmosphere. Of course the food was amazing!"

"Having not eaten here for several years we were extremely pleased with the food and service. I would rate the dining experience here among the best in Rapid City. The only complaint we have is their corkage fee, which at $15 is one of the higher fees in the area."

"I was a very good experience overall but for the price vs food quality it wasn't a place I wouldn't visit more than once a year. There are many other restaurants in town that I could spend $40.00 less and still get a comparable and tasty meal."

"We've dined at the Wine Cellar many times and have never been disappointed. The standard menu is excellent, but the weekly specials show a high level of creativity and a blending of flavours that serve up a dining symphony. They have a good wine list that will satisfy any taste or budget. The staff are knowledgable about the dishes and wines, and service is excellent. A great spot for either that special occasion dinner or just when you want to have great food in a cozy atmosphere. Very much recommended!"

"The food was good. Pricey for the amount, but was as I had expected. Quality of the food was great and I left satisfied. Table was in the middle of the front room and kind of chilly near the entrance. Service was outstanding. Great choice for a romantic Valentine's dinner."
