Maza Mediterranean Italian
We are an Italian and Mediterranean restaurant that aims to make honest food that is inspired by regional cooking throughout the Mediterranean. We"re always updating our menu and trying different approaches to our fare to bring something new and fresh to the area.
We take our ingredients seriously. If it's on your plate, we chose it because it was the best we could get. Our cheeses are imported from Italy, France, and Spain or made at our favorite US creameries. We partner with local farms to bring you the freshest produce when it’s available. Our meat and fish without exception reflect our absolute desire to source the best. We also spend a huge amount of time refining our wine list, aiming to get a level of quality and value that matches that of the dishes.

"From the outside you would never know that the food at this place is incredible and so upscale. My wife and I each had wonderful entrees that were detailed and intricate. Her scallops were huge and perfectly cooked. They even did a kid's portion of fettucine alfredo for my son even though it isn't on the menu. Our server was super attentive and kind. We will be going back - maybe without the kids so we can linger and try the extensive wine list!"

"We went for the Easter brunch, It was fantastic! The service was perfect. The only problem we had was that the restaurant is a little small, we had a reservation for five. Most of the tables seat four, so they added a chair at the end of a booth, it was pretty cramped for everyone on that end of the table!"

"Small and quaint. I would always get reservations to assure a table. Food was incredible! They were short-staffed that evening, so the owner waited on us. Very personable and helpful. He takes so much pride in his establishment. We both had "specials" which were fish dishes. Fresh, healthy, and delicious. We lingered and never felt rushed. Food is individually prepared to order, takes time (30 min?) but well worth it. They can handle small groups by pushing tables together. We had a quiet booth in the back. Wonderful. Food is pricey ($28 for each entree). Wine is expensive, but many are available by the glass. Will definitely go again!"

"Nice selection of Middle Eastern and classic Mediterranean / Italian dishes with a good ambiance. Unfortunately they did not have sample platters regarding the appetizers to accomodate the needs of a larger group. We were willing to pay extra, if they would add extra pieces on each appetizer platter according to the number of our group, but no such luck.
Otherwise our waitress and the staff was helpful and friendly. When we wanted to re-order a second bottle of the same wine, which we really liked, we were told that we finished the very last bottle of it.
This is certainly a good choice for a special occasion if you want to stay in the West Lafayette area."

"Party of 5 had dinner before attending a local basketball game. Waiter was attentive and helpful. Food was very tasty with a lovely presentation. Our group ate a wide variety of items from calamari and garlic shrimp appetizers to kabobs, lasagna and chicken piccata. Had a delicious lebanese fruit dessert that wasn't too sweet that topped off the meal wonderfully. We are glad that Maza decided to relocate from the campus village area!!"

"We've been to Maza 4 times now, twice for dinner and twice for Sunday brunch. We've had excellent food each time. I'm excited to go back and try other menu items as soon as I can. They were also able to accommodate a party of 10 people for dinner, and for brunch we didn't feel like we were rushed to get out of there. The owner was personable and came to speak with us at our table. They feature locally produced foods, and it's all surprisingly low priced. They could raise their prices by 50% and I'd still think it was a good deal. The place is small, that's the only thing hurting the ambiance. Overall, this is our new favorite restaurant!"
