"We had been to Benito's in the past and enjoyed it for the excellent service and food. However, that is not what we experienced on Saturday night. The service was very slow. Food was mediocre at best. The prices are high and on this night did not match the quality. Too bad."

"We've been going to da Benito for as long as I can remember. Benny (the owner) is back in the kitchen on Saturday nights and the food is fabulous. Try the pasta fagioli soup and anything veal. You won't be disappointed."

"I brought my mom and dad back in November 2012 for her 80th birthday and it was outstanding! Kevin our waiter could not have been more helpful the service was and is impeccable the menu and food is outstanding! It's also such a pleasure that Benito himself makes it a point of coming out and chatting with the customers. We had been then again on Christmas Eve 2012 and of course this passed Friday, March 1st everything was top shelf. I have made a future reservation for May 17th at 6:30 with a friend to we have the same birthday and this will be our celebration dinner. One last compliment, your bar is very quaint and sophisticated i noticed such a delightful group of individuals that i will not have a problem coming in on a Friday (solo)"

"Valentine's Day dinner and the place was, naturally, packed. In spite of that the food was quite good with two notable exceptions. We had been to da Benito before and enjoyed the table-side Caesar Salad for two. As it was on the menu priced "for two" ($20) we were very surprised when two separate plates of pre-made salad were delivered to the table. Secondly, the Osso Buco was excellent; the risotto served with was inedible. Maybe chalk it up to a very busy night."

"It was Valentine's Day (evening) and as we all know, most restaurants either have a limited menu or the food suffers from the amount of people they are serving. Da Benito didn't miss a beat!!!! The food was delicious and the service was on point. This is an outstanding restaurant that my husband and I continue to enjoy and want to come back to."

"Made reservations based on a recommendation. Recently moved to this area and building our list of great restaurants. Food was great, but waiter made us feel like an hindrance to his busy day.
When asked why was he rushing us through the order process -said "we are very busy tonight". Maybe our fault that we picked Valentine's day. Appetizers were rushed and then had to wait for 50 minutes before food showed up. Food was EXCELLENT. Then we had to ask for the Dessert menu, which came after another 10 minutes, after that, waiter did not bother to come by for an order. We had to ask the hostess to locate him, when he arrived we asked for the check - he obliged and did not even bother asking for a dessert order.
All in all no sweet ending"

"We travel all of the world and have eaten at the best restaurants in NYC as well as Paris, Rome, Florence and many others. There is no place that we look forward to having dinner as much as Benito's. In all of my years of going there, we have never had anything but a wonderful experience. The staff is incredibly attentive, Benny is always there to make sure it is a perfect experience and Benny's cooking can compete with any restaurant in the world. There is a reason why the NY Times gave Benito's a rare 3 out of 4 stars the one time they reviewed 10 years ago or so. Our meal the other night was simply "amazing", a word we use to describe every outing at Benito's."
