Italian-American neighborhood dining in the heart of downtown "Burdickville"
Funistrada is an owner operated-family business. We take great pride in our returning clientele, a staff that has been with us for most of our 14 years, and the consistency of our food and wines. Even when you're away from home, we'd like you to feel like you're in your own neighborhood!
We do not have a children's menu or accommodate young children.
We are a small space and can not accommodate parties larger than 12.

"We found this place on Open Table having never been to this area before. We were NOT disappointed. The food was delicious and nicely portioned. The staff were warm, friendly and laid back.

"Our group of seven was happy to get a reservation but next time we will plan ahead and come early, because the group in the corner was having SO much fun we couldn't hear each other at our table. Food was good but my veal had two or three grisly pieces. I didn't like that and I won't order that again."

"We live in the County and Funi is always on our "go to" list. The friendly and attentive waitstaff stays year after year, which says a lot about the management. Food is great and dessert is hard to pass up. Quintessential Leelanau County gem. Plan ahead and make a reservation well in advance."

""Funi" is a northern Michigan gem---just what you want if you're looking for excellent food made from local ingredients, friendly knowledgeable service, a manageable, fairly priced wine list, and an intimate, backwoodsy kind of setting with beautiful, local art.
I have been there many times and my favorite dish is the veal saltimbocca which is uniquely prepared and, as the name in Italian literally suggests, it "jumps in your mouth The menu choices are extensive with a strong Italian influence and includes several seasonal and daily specials. Funistrada is for me the quintessential example of what a family owned and managed restaurant should be."

"If there is a better place for Italian food in and around Glen Arbor, I would go there too!
