"Great wine and beer lists, very good service and good food. Most impressive was that they remembered that my wife and I were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary, which I had mentioned when making the reservation. The small plates were excellent, with the exception of the Stuffed Pork Tenderloin which was very dry. If you want some quiet for dinner conversation, ask for the front room. The bar area is louder but with a good energy and vibe."

"We enjoyed our charcuterie course with the delicious duck fat fries and just-right second course before a performance at the Fulton Theatre. Convenient and not too heavy. The place was jumping with a First Friday (or TGIF) crowd."

"On a Sunday evening, it was pretty quiet. We shared the duck fat French fries and two plates: linguini and scallops. The fries with garlic aoli were out of this world. The linguini was fresh and cooked to perfection. The scallops were seared and seasoned perfectly as well. I really enjoyed the root vegetables that were served with both

The beer selection is outstanding. I don't remember what I drank specifically but the two beers I had were great.

For dessert we shared orange dreamscile that was divine. We told our waitress about my wife's sensitivity to orange zest and were erved the ice cream separate from the part that had the orange zest."

"I've been to POUR twice now and I have the same mixed reaction to it. This is NOT a place to go for "dinner" but to sample wine, beer and light food that accompanies it. If you are a big eater, you're either likely to go away hungry or with a hefty bill. This is a "tapas" kind of place. They serve meats and cheeses in one-ounce portions at $3 to $5 an ounce. There are a few larger plates (POUR Plates). The offerings certainly are unique. The wait staff probably spends more than the average amount of time explaining the items on the menu. Here's my advice: go there BEFORE you go to dinner elsewhere or later in the evening when you looking for an upscale "snack.""

"Best wine and beer selection for a full service place in Lancaster. Chef Howard and Chef Aho are creative geniuses that really put excitement in getting your meal. Portion sizes are small but still appropriate. If you like unique cocktails, then you have to come to POUR... They won the last Lancaster cocktail challenge and their entries were simply stellar."

"The duck fat fries and roasted garlic aioli are KILLER. I would return just for an order of fries and a sampling of beers. Our charcuterie board was also outstanding -- we got the wild boar salami, prosciutto, speck, aged goat gouda, rupert, and kunik. From there we segued into the charred elk loin with compressed honeydew. Far from the rich, earthy dish we were expecting, the combination of the perfectly rare elk and cool honeydew read like sushi! We then ordered the chocolate cake, which also defied our expectations. I didn't actually detect any chocolate flavor, and the "vanilla & cinnamon custard" tasted weirdly citrusy. However, the sage ice cream more than made up for it! Excellent dining experience for our anniversary dinner."

"We had been to Pour awhile ago and decided to give them another try. The duck fries were awesome and so was the Gouda and speck. Then we had entrees which were over-cooked and not overly flavorful. Then it took a good 30 minutes to get our check. It is a very cool location but there are much better places to have dinner in downtown Lancaster."

"POUR has a hip vibe and is situated in an excellent location on Gallery Row in downtown Lancaster. The menu consists of mostly small dishes that are unique, delicious and artfully presented. "We showed up at 10:30 PM and we got the duck fries and they were so wonderful! The bartender was also really helpful. They also give everyone a pitcher of water which was a very nice touch. The instead was really modern and welcoming, and outside looked nice a pretty nice spot too."

"My wife and I just had dinner at Pour on Prince st in Lancaster, we sat in the outdoor courtyard. A little bit of road noise but overall the setting was very cool. However the menu is very limited on entrees. I don't like a huge menu, but this was a little to small. They did have some great specialty meat and cheese trays, as well as good appetizers. The risotto was amazing, the Wild Boar Belly was not. Very tuff and chewy, lacking flavor."

"If Pour was dropped in the middle of Philadelphia, it'd be a goldmine. "Unexpected" has to be the best way to describe Pour as a menu like this isn't what comes to mind when I think of Lancaster. A fine selection of charcuterie and cheeses started off the meal, followed by the duck fat fries, charred elk loin and the ham and egg.

We loved the ham and egg, but found the 63-degree egg was too underdone for us.

Don't dare leave Pour without having the risotto. My date and I could have downed two plates of it, easily. It's that good."

"Great experience at POUR. We went with a family of 6-- 3 kids, 3 adults. The restaurant was very accommodating and attentive the entire time. The server even offered to take the kids to see the art gallery and they loved it!

The food was very good. It seemed to take a strangely long time to plate and serve all the dishes (you can see into the plating area), but generally speaking, everything was excellent.

For kids, you have to be a little creative. Pancakes, a side of eggs, a side of bacon, a side of toast....but the prices for the sides are extremely reasonable, so it's feasible.

I'd love to go back for dinner without kids and try it that way too."

"While I enjoyed my visit here, I was disappointed to be squeezed in along a wall with several other tables. It was not private...sitting 16 inches from total strangers. I had asked for a table in the back room when we arrived but was told they were taken. However, the whole time we were there, those tables were never filled with people. The cheese, bread and meat appetizer is delicious but extremely overpriced...even for gourmet cheeses and meats. They give you a lot of bread with this plate but no butter or infused olive oil. By the time we ate our cheeses and meats we had a lot of wasted bread on the plate. Our meals were delicious but small. I love supporting the local restaurants but I won't be going back too often to POUR."

"Wow....these Philly folk were not expecting to find such a gem in Lancaster. We are big foodies and have learned to lower our expectations when outside of big cities, but no need here. Food was top notch! We went for brunch and had the awesome Bloody Mary and Irish coffee. We can never pass up charcuterie and cheese which did not disappoint. We had chicken or the egg...omg grits were best I've ever had and surf and turf, also delicious. Realizing it was the anniversary of the repeal of prohibition we had to have a beer as well, great selection! Server was knowledgable and attentive. Diverse crowd...the place was filled with all types of people. Would recommend again and again!"

"This is a must if you are in Lancaster. The food is outstanding and it's surrounded by interesting art. Our 8 year-old son is a foodie and he said: "finally, a restaurant that doesn't have a kids' menu". "Loved, loved, loved the small plates and variety of choices was just right. My husband and I tried cheeses, small plates and dinner plates. The Lobster Coucous was wonderful, as well as the Fries!! I had the 3 dips of ice cream, what a great treat to finally try Bacon Ice cream. The Green Tea was tasty and the Basil IC superb! Can't wait to go back with a group and try everything."

"Second time we've gone here. First time was with my wife and we ordered a selection of meats/cheeses with a bottle of wine finished off with desert and was amazed how much I enjoyed it and was full. This time was with my 22 yr old daughter and 20 yr old son. Skipped the plates and again did the board and bottle of wine and 3 of us enjoyed it immensely (my son wasn't as impressed, not old enough for wine and didn't like the board selection - but I guess I knew that he wouldn't and should have insisted on him ordering one of the plates which looked amazing). Whole experience encourages spending time and talking instead of seeing and being seen.
So for us 40 somethings, it was great!"

"My wife and I went to Pour on a Friday night. Nice restaurant with great ambiance. Unique food that was prepared nicely. It was a little too loud probably better for a group event. "The food was excellent and the service was very good. We were not rushed by the staff even though we had dinner on Valentine's day and the restaurant was reasonably busy.

The first time I went there over a year ago I was put off by the bartender who tended to be patronizing when talking about wine and their menu. I had decided to never return but then made the choice to give them a second chance. Glad I did!"

"Perfect location for dinner pre performance at the Fulton or Ware Center. The wait staff was very friendly, inviting and informative. Enjoyed an obscure foreign beer. Will definitely return again!"
