"We have eaten at Salute many times, and it is always a spectacular evening. The owners are always present and could not be more gracious. The food is exceptional. The wine from their vineyard in Tuscany is our favorite, but the entire wine list is excellent. Service is friendly and very professional. It is a wonderful dining experience. We feel that the food at Salute is the best in Sarasta."

"Salute! is in the heart of downtown Sarasota and has both outdoor and indoor dining. The food is the best Italian cuisine in town, in my opinion, and the wait staff is professional and very Italian. "Our 2nd visit during a holiday in Sarasota. The owner Alberto has become a friend and hosted us with a group of friends in Tuscany last year at his villa/winery. His wines are superb and Salute is truly an authentic piece of Tuscany in Sarasota. The cuisine is outstanding and we enjoyed introducing local friends to is this trip."

Very good food of the kind I personally prefer, but not quite as refined as at one or two other restaurants in Sarasota which are preferred by my truly "foodie" friends. Noise level on the evening we were there was high, but somehow did not make normal conversation impossible, perhaps because we were outside in an area (heated by gas braziers. A deservedly popular venue."

"Great food and ambiance, waiter always appeared in a hurry and we felt rushed. We had reservatons, but they did not have us down; but seated us anyway. We wanted to enjoy our wine and talk, but the waiter kept coming over for our order. He appeared to want us to hurry up,eat and leave. At the end of the dinner, he brought all the wrong drinks and said, oh well, just keep them. It was coffee and hot water. No tea bags and we did not order coffee. Did not refill our water or ice tea glasses. We enjoy this restaurant, but they need to do a "double check" on their wait staff, as that can ruin an evening for me and I will think twice in coming back."

"We were seated outside at a very cramped table. Wait staff and patrons were constantly sliding between our table and the one next to us to get to and from the kitchen and bar. The table should not have been in this area at all. I suggest asking for indoor seating which might make for a more pleasurable experience. Food was very good, so we will be going back. "A complex dining evening. Started off shaky - Three tables including ours were seated within 10 minutes of each other, two groups of 4 and one group of 7. This overwhelmed our waiter a bit (we were last to be seated), who also had tables upfront, so we had a wait before we got our drinks and bread. Eventually he hit his stride though, and the food was wonderful, especially the fresh fish, filleted table side. Late into the main course, one of our table mates spilled a full glass of red wine onto his entree. The waiter quickly came, took away the food plate, came back with another glass of wine, a new entree and a gratis desert for us to share while our friend finished his new entree. Very Classy! and Considerate! Bravo!"

"excellent, as always. I LOVE a place that is consistently, predictably excellent all around. We take friends and business there often because they never fail to disappoint. Food is so well prepared, people are pleasant and accomodating and the setting is great. Also love their valet service nearby to make it all enjoyable and stress-free."
