"They greet you warmly, seat you fast and make you feel at home. The service is one of the best around from knowledge of the menu and especially their wine list. The food, well the best compliment is that you'll have to try it for yourself ( you wont be disappointed). GO TO Locanda Vini e Olii, what are you waiting for."

"If you are four or more, by all means, take the tasting menu. It is very reasonable priced and you don't want to miss the variety. It is served family style so it's easy for everyone to try everything and there was nothing that was less than fabulous. Our favorites were the lamb ravioli, the chicken livers and the short ribs. The old pharmacy venue was not elegant, but uniquely charming. The younger wait staff members showed a little inexperience at times, but they were friendly and willing. Overall this restaurant is worth a special trip. This was the best restaurant experience I have had in many years."

"An unusual and delicious menu,a charming staff,a cleverly covered inferior that was once a drugstore, this restaurant is for the adventurous foodie that loves dishes like beef cheek, tripe, and the like, though they also have some standards that are also impeccable, like the Maltgliati w mushrooms. Also won my heart when they measured or wine consumption with a ruler to determine what to charge us."

"I went with my husband who is true-bred Italian, and he confirmed the authenticity of the food. We were both impressed. The wine we were offered as a pairing for our dinner was also quite spectacular. This restaurant is a bit pricey, but if you're looking for authentic Italian, and you have the money to spend, it's definitely worth a try."

"Locanda is what you want in the neighborhood: terrific atmosphere, congenial owner/host and staff, consistently excellent, well prepared and fresh food, much of it made in the restaurant. The menu hasn't changed much in the last year or so, but what is on the menu has a lot of winners, and the specials are always great. The chicken liver and risotto appetizer is superb, beef cheeks or lamb shoulder magnificent, pastas always fresh and done perfectly. One challenge is that the restaurant has become so well known that it is difficult sometimes to come home tired, not wanting to cook or order, and be able to get a table. I guess that is the price of quality."

"I love this restaurant and go here often. This last time I was disappointed. I brought some people there for a dinner meeting and told them it was one of the best in the area. It was a Wed night. I ordered the swiss chard souffle and it wasn't freshly made, it was gray and hockey puck like. I should have sent it back. I also ordered the Fish stew which I had had just a few nights ago. the broth was thin and needed to be reduced more or thickened. I've had this dish several times and it's usually very good. same with the souffle
Maybe it was an off night, but totally disappointed and kicking myself for not saying something then and there because I think they would appreciate it. Overall it's a great place and I would recommend."

"Some dishes were outstanding (Octopus, Pasta and mushrooms, Tongue) others were fine, but only good. Desert was an exception. The Sacher Torte was not even mediocre and the two others with me who had desert were also disappointed. Overall, it was a very enjoyable dining experience and felt authentically Italian and I will go back and will recommend it to others."
