Grace, the highly anticipated restaurant from acclaimed chef Curtis Duffy, opened late 2012 in the Randolph Street area, just west of downtown Chicago. The subtle elegance of the dining room provides a comfortably luxurious setting in which to enjoy Chef Duffy's Progressive American cuisine, offered in a tasting menu format. In addition to the dining room, a private dining space to accommodate up to 12 is available, as well as a lounge for a pre- or post-dinner drink.

"From caviar and chive in the first course to coconut and blue basil in the ninth course, (and who knows how many other ingredients in between), we felt we had an interesting and memorable dining experience. Presentation gets five stars. Service was professional and informative without being tutorial. Everything and everyone at Grace was top notch. I don't know if a tour of the kitchen is always offered, but don't pass it up if it is. We plan to return when the menu changes with the seasons."

"We had both the flora and fauna menus. The evening overall was great. The food was well presented, cooked, and seasoned. The only 2 negatives (1) cucumber course was bitter and sour and made me wish I switched that course (2) server at the next table brought the dishes to the table prematurely while another staff was still discussing wine selection with the customers and instead of taking it back, just stood at the table holding the food until the wine conversation was finished. At 3 star Michelin restaurants, the server would have walked right by without skipping a beat and taken the dishes back until the table is ready for the food. The attention to service can be improved. Definitely at least 1 star and maybe 2 but not yet a 3 star."

"I have dined at almost all fine dining restaurants in Chicago including Alinea, and IMHO Grace is THE BEST RESTAURANT of them all in Chicago, or one of the best in the U.S. I live in New York and you Chicagoans are lucky to have Chef Duffy!! "Grace was an amazing experience. My client couldn't stop raving - the food, the experience, and the service. And I totally agree! Not realizing the amazing ambience when I made the reservation, I foolishly asked for a corner table (hoping for a conducive atmosphere for business). I was amazed - it felt like we were the only ones there even though the tables were full. What a way to "wow" someone."

"This was the best meal I have ever had and I am 65, have traveled a lot nationally and internationaly and been lucky enough to have dined in some of the best restaurants. It was also the most expensive meal and totally but totally worth it! The food was exquisite, inventive, beautiful and delicious. It was served with elegance and grace by a knowledgeable and young team who are comfortable enough in their own skins not to be pretentious or selfconscious. The wine pairing were wonderful and quite distinctive. Don't miss them. We went to celebrate my husband's birthday and everyone made us feel like we were the most important guests of the evening. We plan to frame the menus, which the chef kindly signed. Recommended highly!!!!"

"Grace is a very special restaurant from the reservation to the last bite. The food & service is on par with A Le Bernadin or A Eleven Madison Park in New York. The whole first class experience starts after you make the reservation.They call you the morning of the reservation to see if there are any food concernes.The food and the presentation was just incredible. Part of the mission of Grace is to seek out all these specialty purveyors and this in turn only enhances the whole dining experience. I had selections from the Chef Duffys' Tasting menu so it is hard to pick a favorite. The highlights were the Carrot, Sunchoke, Cauliflower, Poached Chestnut, Roasted Pumpkin.The Chef sent over samplings he selected for us. The dessert was great"

"Outstanding overall experience. I have never written an online review before, but felt that our experience at Grace warranted the recognition. We have dined at many of the top restaurants in Chicago and New York often finding the experience to be disappointing. Not so at Grace. Food was amazing and as good as any we've had. "The overall experience was great! I just think the food was average. It was too overdone, and really didn't allow us to savor each flavor. We just felt like they were trying to hard to be as good as Alinea, Moto, etc and just didn't cut it. I think they took an amazing, spectacular approach to to each dish, and then just went a little too far to make it really unique. Food was beautiful, just lacked that wow factor in flavor. Needless to say I was disappointed. Service was amazing though, everyone was incredibly friendly. I would have liked to have a takeaway wine list from our pairings, because the wines are really what shined, so I would have liked to know which ones we drank. Overall, worth the trip if you want to do that "experience.""

"We went for Valentines Day & just loved it!! I'm a picky eater. They accommodated us in everyday & even let us your the kitchen at the end. Not to mention, I'm NOT a drinker...the chef made 2 special fresh squeezed juices...one w/foam & 1 green. Wonderful service. I appreciated not sitting there forever like MOTO when your done eating, etc. Reminded me of Ailnea when we sent for my b-day, but I have to say just as good or better! Friendly staff-NOT stuffy like Alinea's mgr & really in-truly friendly, humble, hospitable & incredible! We will absolutely be back! Thank you:)"

"The food was spectacular. Imaginative, beautiful and delicious. Absolutely wonderful and astonishing. Yes, there was a lot of fascinating cleverness going on, but any science is used to improve the food expire nice, not to impress you with flashy trickery. Attractive and functional service ware and flatware.
The wine list was OK, not particularly wide ranging, with a breathtaking markup.
The staff training is quite good, but they do need more polish and professionalism.
The decor is, frankly, unimpressive. Looks like an office building waiting room circa 1982. The background music is excruciating bad modern synthesizer junk, horrible to endure and a major flaw in the dining concept.
It should get two Michelin stars once service is polis"

"Grace was perfection. Chef Duffy and his team thought of everything in designing a perfect dining experience. From the simple yet refined decor to the well orchestrated service to the plates, cutlery & decanters, everything complemented the real focus & winner: the food.
