"We won't be back.
While the décor is nice looking, friendly and inviting, the rest of the experience was lack luster. There was a minimal staff - we only saw two people working the tables, entrance and the bar total. Our waiter had to be asked multiple times and he disappeared for long periods. The restaurant was quite empty and I can't imagine the service if it had been busy.
They have a children's menu but didn't have any children's drinks. Juice choices were only what the bar had for mixers (pineapple, cranberry at the time). No milk or apple juice was surprising. The adult dishes were OK. The fish was hidden in much too much sauce. The filet was tender but the sides were over cooked, non-descript mix of green vegetables."

"It is so great to find a good place to dine in Palos Verdes. I had the Ono which was fabulous. The Brussels sprouts were probably the best I have had. Service was very friendly and attentive. I will be returning!"

"It is nice to have a restaurant in the neighboorhood for the residents to use. The only alternative is the Admiral down the road. Due to the price I checked the special occasion box... due to your location there is no view or due to the table set up hard to be romantic. Our table was very small for two people and we were having to put plates on the table next to us. My dinner was good but my Dad's was not a good choice for him, although he likes seafood (shrimp). You could have a better wine list.

"Received dinner one hour and 20 minutes after arriving. With no appetizer. Brought the wrong vegetable with one meal. Neither of us finished our meals and did not take them in a "doggy" bag."

"Lunada Bayhouse is located in beautiful PV and has a very appetizing menu, so this place seemed to be a good choice for a nice romantic dinner. The food was okay, however my lobster was a overcooked, risotto was cold and both mine and my girlfriend's bisques were extremely salty. The main problem with this restaurant is the service (or lack thereof). I don't think I'll be returning simply because the service was terrible. I couldn't determine who our server was because nobody came to our table to introduce or greet us. I couldn't understand why we received our appetizer long after we received the main course? Very annoying. Even on a busy night a reputable restaurant must be able to serve all of its' patrons with excellent service."

"Lunada House is sort of hard to find if you aren't a local and it's dark. The place is a little bit of a boutique restaurant with about 20 inside tables and another 8 outside tables. I went on Valentine's Day and so it was a one price menu with a choice of soup/salad and entree. We picked the lobster stuffed with crab and the prime rib. In addition, we had the lobster bisque. All the food tasted fantastic.
But, the service wasn't the best. I'm not sure if they were low on supplies, but when the brought bread, it was only 4 cut pieces of bagette width bread. The volume was about the size of one regular slice of bread. The staff was inattentive, so they were either unseasoned or distracted. The taste is worth mediocre service."

"The Stuffed Lobster Valentines Dinner generous and well cooked and presented. The waitress was slow to take our order and had severe memory problems. We had to ask repeatedly for anything we needed. Although we were earlier and lucked out, they ran out of Lobster by 8 PM, which shows poor planning. Who is going to order Chicken or ordinary pasta for the same price as Lobster? We'd go back but ask for a different waitress!"

"When my wife and I arrived, we were met with an environment that we did not expect. The first tip off was a little parking area of strollers and wagons. Problem was, we were looking for an Valentine Day adult date night, what we found was a very kid friendly restaurant filled to the brim with families and folks dressed in sweatshirts.We left. So, the lesson to the OpenTable community --- don't take the description provided on OpenTable as fully correct, don't think that the restaurant will actually read your requests and comments."

"This is an neighborhood restaurant with excellent food, ambiance, moderate prices and usually friendly, attentive employees. On this evening, the employees (hostess and waiter) were unknown to me. My online request for a special table was not honored, and it was given away when I arrived for my 6:00 reservation. There were new employees that did not know me. It was a friend's birthday celebration, and I was most disappointed. From now on, I will phone in my reservation."

"I'm a chopped salad lover, and the chopped salad here is a full meal, and wonderful. Everyone else had some sort of seafood dish, and they were very happy. Our server was delightful, wine by the glass worked for us (we didn't want a full bottle). This is a neighborhood gem, and great for family nights out!"
