"In the interest of brevity:
The food was just ok, too hit or miss. The atmosphere was a little too loud for a romantic night out (likely from an attempt to keep everyone close to the window to catch the amazing sunset). The ambiance and wait staff made up for the night though and made for an overall good experience."

"The plates are pricey but is enough food, more than other places that are within the same price range. Took my boyfriend there as a surprise for his birthday and we both loved it! We will come back for sure!"

"19 Kitchen had a fantastic embiance. I had called ahead for a window-side table, as I was giving my girlfriend a ring.......the view of the lake at sunset did not disappoint. The food was top notch - probably had the best fish dish I have ever tasted in their Chilean Sea Bass. It exceeded my expectations."

"Nice restaurant with good food and a great view of Lake Tahoe. The pork chop was the best I've ever tasted. The donuts are a must have for dessert, made fresh to order. Would definitely go back to try other dishes."

"The atmosphere was nice and the food was great. I was disappointed in the menu and the service. First all the menu on the website is not the same that was given to us. A number of items were not there and the selection was minimal at best. Three of us ordered the New York steak with roast led garlic mash potatoes and assperguas. However when we received our food we got cauliflower instead. Not that the cauliflower wasn't good, but it was no stated on the menu. The second thing the service was not expertional to the fine dining atmosphere. Our waiter was pleasant enough but we only saw him a couple of times and each time it took longer then the last. We just weren't wowed with our experience and we were dissapointed in that."

"Everything from the food to the service was excellent. The green salad with the balsamic dressing was outstanding. The lobster mash potatoes was creamy and delicious. We ordered filet mignon and ribeye streaks. Both were excellent. Some of the best steaks we have ever had. Service was great. The view of the lake was amazing and even better at sunset. Even at night the lake view was nice. We were very pleased and impressed by Nineteen. We will be eating there again soon."

"Your restaurant is lovely. I booked my reservations online for 4 people. I specified we were celebrating my boyfriend's birthday and Valentine's Day. Even though I was given a lovely rose at the end of dinner, nothing was done or mentioned to my boyfriend. I guess your restaurant doesn't do anything or our server forgot about it, even though I mentioned it to him once we were seated. I'm a vegetarian and I did review your menu online, but I still wanted to have our special dinner at your restaurant. It would be nice if you offer at least one vegetarian dish. I had the bread, a salad and the Scampi flat-bread appetizer without the shrimp."

"We had an early reservation to avoid any rush; but ended up disappointed in this over-priced a-la-carte restaurant. Restaurant history suggests top-of-the-line in local fine-dining, which it WAS NOT. The reception area staff was not particularly welcoming. The waiter, while friendly, was very slow to notice that our wine glasses needed refilling. Portions were relatively small on my Ahi dinner plate, prepared nicely, but not the quality and preparation of the same dish at The Edgewood Restaurant. My wife opted for the Market priced Abalone, which was prepared well. Over-priced a-la-carte items, $10 for a side of mashed potatoes? Nice: pink cotton candy...a touch of whimsy!...and a red rose for the lady, nice touches."

"Nice spot at the top of Harvey's in South Lake Tahoe. Once you get through the casino and all its smoking guests (sic.), hop on the elevator to the last floor and be surprised by the view, service and food."
