"The food was nothing special, could find this quality of food in pretty much any
decent Italian restaurant. It is extremely loud in this restaurant. Very difficult
to have dinner conversation. The service was good. Very New Yorkish.

hostesses were very nice when our dinner party size was reduced from 7 to 5
doe to a couple of late cancellations. Dinner was ok, but in a city filled with a
lot of great restaurants, this one is not memorable."

"It was my husbands birthday and we were out for a nice dinner. Rao's was nice and the food was delicious however the picture lady came around and interrupted our meal to take our photo. When the pictures came back they were not very good; goofy poses and she did not capture the best smiles. When we declined to purchase them she seemed very annoyed. They were very over priced and not great pics. For a nicer restaurant having her walk around doing that was not very classy and took away from the experience. That is why I gave the three star review."

"I cook out of this cookbook all the time and you can't get in to the original one in NYC unless you know someone. So when I moved to Vegas and saw this at Caesars, it was a must. No inexpensive but great food. Everything I expected!!"

"We had a 5 p.m. reservation and the entire staff seemed snobby. After we ordered our drinks, the meal was put on the table 2 min. later! The waiter hustled us through the meal with little attention even though we were practically the only diners at the time. This was my grandson's birthday and had hope for a nice experience. We felt the waiter was not interested in us because we hadn't ordered appetizers, soups etc. We had to ask the assistants to brings butter etc. Food was very good, but was spoiled by the rush and indifference from the staff."

"Old time Italian served with flair and informality. A congenial but fast-moving wait staff and a seasoned wine steward add to the sense of history one feels when dining here. Low ceilings and wooden booths give it a time-warp aspect, but the total excellence of the food preparation is top notch. An informal atmosphere and a home-made quality to the offerings make for a comfortable and relaxing evening. Perfectly prepared pastas and the freshest, high-quality seafood make it the equal of any in its class. Not a quiet, sophisticated place, but no less memorable as a dining experience. How soon can we get back was my feeling as we left."

"Had to try this place because after all, it's Rao's. Love the look of this place, feels like Christmas inside. "Our clients had dined at a top rated restaurant the prior evening, so I rolled the dice on a place I had never dined. Party of nine all left the dinner impressed with the selection. "This was our second time dining at Rao's. we last ate there 4 years ago and really enjoyed it. We decided to go there again. We had an early reservation because we were going to a show afterwords. We were seated in a very nice booth. In the same room was a party of 8 people who were so loud that you couldn't hear yourself think! We mentioned it to several people on the staff, but nothing was done. I guess we should have moved our table, but we liked the booth. The food was ok, nothing great. We won't be coming back."

"I was there with a group of 8 we had a nice table in the back room, we had lots of space no sitting on top of each other. The food was ok I have had better Italian food. I was surprised that they did not have chicken parm on the menu so I went with basic penne alla vodka, to me it was a bit dry not enough sauce but it was fine. Service was decent pretty fast. The reception area was not very bright done they didn't have my reservation in the book and I had my emails printed they sat us after about 5 min."

"We went there for a nice, intimate dinner before a concert. After being seated in a private booth, they seated an extremely loud group of conventioneers (and dressed below "casual") right next to us. The noise level and overall atmosphere totally ruined our meal, and we couldn't wait to leave. And although the food was very good, we felt the prices were not worth the food quality. $9.00 for a meatball? Come on!"

"We really enjoyed our experience. Our only complaint was that we had a 5:30 reservation and was told we could not be sat earlier although the restaurant was nearly empty. We sat at the bar for 20 minutes and waited until 5:30 to be seated. Unusual I think. We had a variety of appetizers, pastas and veal. Everything we tried was delicious and out waiter was fantastic."

"Seriously good food awaits you at Rao's. We are still talking about this food since our visit in December 2012. The Veal Chop melted in your mouth, the meatballs are better than nona's nona. and the chicken cacciatore was "smack your mamma" good! Forgettaboutit! Best meal in Vegas!"

"We were at a trade show in Vegas and made our annual pilgrimage to Rao's. It was as fulfilling as we expected. We generally order multiple entrees for the table as well as appetizers and pastas. The pastas were divine, the antipasto was delicious and the veal chop with peppers as well as the veal parm were great. I had read some negative reviews when making the reservation through Open Table and I wondered if the restaurant had gone downhill. Definitely not! I don't know what those folks ate, but maybe they have an Olive Garden palate."

"Loved the veal Parmesan! Great Italian restaurant. Expensive, Vegas style. It would be nice to have a side of pasta with the veal. Caesar salad was not very good. Dressing had an off taste. It was disappointing. The spaghetti Nd meatballs looked divine; another diner reported that it was delicious!"

"Ordered the capreese salad. Buffalo Moza was great but you could tell that the tomatoes had been kept refrigerated. Tomatoes should NEVER be kept in a fridge. The basis cook would know this. I had the salmon. It was very tasty but over-cooked. AGain, a good chef would know not to overcook fish. We were early so there should have been no reason for this."

"My wife and I really enjoyed the evening at Rao's and especially appreciated their waiter, Sean walking us through the menu for the best choices and also letting us split a pasta in order to get to taste as much as possible and still be able to walk out of there! I wasn't over the top about my breaded veal, but my wife's veal picatta was incredible! Everything else, including the ceasar's salad, was incredible!"

"We had dinner at Rao's for our daughters 21st Birthday. Bar staff were fun and the wait staff at dinner did a great job with our party of 10. The food was excellent. They made the night fun and special. We will be visiting New York next month and plan on trying Rao's there as well."
