"My husband and I ate at the Mesa Grill in Las Vegas a year ago. Upon returning to Las Vegas recently with friends, the Mesa Grill was a must for dinner. You are welcomed by all staff as you enter the restaraunt and it continues until you are seated at your table. The menu is diverse and everything we have ordered from appetizers to desserts has been wonderful. The waiters are very friendly but professional and know their menu. The wine steward, Bernardo, was right on target with his suggestions for wine and so personable. The ambience is suitable for special occasions but also for just a fun evening out! We will keep coming back!!"

"I had the tuna steak. I could not have imagined so many flavors and one time. The best thing is that they all worked well together. Just a reminder to savor and enjoy the food. It is very tempting to eat quickly because it is so good. The key to the whole thing was the 4 or 5 distinct flavors in one bite. Do not miss this. The service was awesome too."

"While Mesa Grill isn't bad, it's not great either. We sent back our first bottle of wine as it had a wet cardboard/skunky taste...even our wine steward and the manager agreed that it was bad. Three of us ordered steak, and one of us ordered fish, and ALL of our meals were grossly undercooked (medium rare was still almost blue). The chipotle/coffee rubbed filet that I had was probably not a bad piece of meat, but I couldn't tell because the chilies in adobo were SO heavy in the sauce (almost straight-from-the-can strong...very overpowering). The sides we ordered were good, but not remarkable. While it could have been worse, overall I am not impressed with Mesa Grill, especially not for the price. Probably don't need to eat here again."

"I wanted to love this restaurant and had been wanting to try it for over a year. The interior is gorgeous and the staff was friendly, welcoming, and attentive. However, the food, which is the most important for me, just did not live up to my expectations. Against my good judgement I was talked into trying the signature dish of pork tenderloin. It was just okay. I did like my appetizer that was a special addition to the menu that evening. It was a snowcrab tostada with a champagne saffron sauce. It was pretty good. My husband loved his steak and got to try a bourbon that he has been trying to find for a while so it wasn't a total bust. Dessert was meh. All in all I was just hoping for a bit more considering the price."

"I have dined here at least 10 times over the last 5 years. The last 2-3 trips I had found the food to be lacking some and the noise level is just a bit too much for me. With some reservation we chose to dine here again and was very happy with the results. Service was great, food better than I have ever had here. We had corn meal crusted halibut and rabbit-- both new tries for us at Mesa- and were thrilled. They have definitely resold me on their food."

"Every time we are in Las Vegas we make it a point to visit Mesa Grill. We have never been disappointed in the excellent service from the host to all of the waite staff. The food has always been served hot and the available entrees have a wonderful mix of flavors."

"I have eaten here many times and have left feeling disappointed the last several trips. While it is overly loud the food and service on this trip were back to what I expect from Mesa Grill. We tried some new for us menu item-lobster tacos , scallops(and the old standby shrimp tamale for apps), corn meal crusted halibut and rabbit for main courses. All were perfectly prepared and did not disappoint."

"I wanted to go to Mesa because it was Bobby Flay. The day of our meal we were sick of eating steak and i was ready for some Mexican. My wife had the Mesa menu pulled up on my iPad and as I looked thru it I will tell you that I almost canceled our reservation. While at the restaurant we were having trouble finding something we wanted to eat the waiter came over and went thru line by line what the menu offered and by the end of that I had 3 different items I wanted to have. The end result was the meal was "out of this world" I have poured thru some of Bobby recipes online and we have found some close matches to what we had eaten and I'm going to try them in the very near future. Go to this restaurant and you WILL be thankful you did."

"My husband and I had dined at Mesa Grill twice before years ago and enjoyed it so we returned on our most recent Vegas visit. This dinner was a real letdown. Our food all came out either lukewarm or cold. Things tasted pretty good, but nothing stunning. We had the mini lobster tacos and they were really, really small (and cold), the corn and shrimp tamale (shrimp was tasteless, dish was warmish), tuna and couscous (the sauce on the tuna was cold and the couscous was room temp), a steak (the one hot item!), and mashed potatoes (cold). Dessert was a coconut cake that was so chilled it took away all the flavor. Our server was polite, but not particularly friendly. We did not feel comfortable mentioning our problems with the meal to him."

"I am usually pretty tough in my reviews, but this place blew me away! From the staff to the drinks to the food. Everything is incredible. I hit four restaurants in Vegas on this trip and in retrospect I wish I had gone here four times. Margaritas are to die for. If you see someone drinking a beer there, smack them. Food was impeccable in both taste and presentation. My wife had gone a few years ago and she said the food was amazing then, but the menu had completely changed. It is great to see that they are keeping things fresh! Can't wait to go back!!!!"

"A Bobby Flay gem that shines year after year, with innovative creations and interpretations. Can be noisy with a side of the space open to the casino, but somehow that adds to the experience. Service is crisp--almost to the point of rushed--but expert and overall solid and professional. No matter if you arrive at 5 o'clock or 9, you will be asked to wait a few minutes in the bar for your reservation. Translation: How about you go buy a drink! Never had a disappointing meal here."

"The hostess saw us sitting at the bar waiting for drink orders with a bartender who looked at us, but continued to do work behind the bar for at least 8-10 minutes before waiting on us.
The salmon was fishy. I might expect this from Burger King or red lobster, but not this caliber of restaurant.
Waiter offered to replace the fish meal, but we had a show to go to in 30 minutes.
Notified the restaurant in advance that this was a 40th wedding anniversary dinner and was seated at a table behind the hostess desk.
We were very excited to eat here, but will not be coming back."

"Had a business meeting at Mesa Grill and although the noise level was energetic, we were able to speak to one another without difficulty hearing the other person.
The shrimp tacos were good, especially the salsa trio that comes with them. Portions for the salads, tacos, skewers were very small, but the sandwich was huge and came with fries. We were all a bit jealous of the sandwich I think.
Good place, solid food, but I wasn't entirely blown away. The waiter raved about their special margarita and it tasted pretty average for $16 a drink."

"I love this place and have had very consistent, great meals every time I come to Vegas! A warning to folks who might have out of country guests with you ... CAUTION THEM ON THE HEAT IN TEXMEX and you might check their overall affinity with these foods. My Australian contigency for our business dinner was overall put-off by the "overdone" flavors and amount of spices in the food (and did not understand tamales at all - which every dish is served with). Again, I repeat: I love it and have always had a great time here ... I just CAITION about educating overseas guests :)"

"Bobby Flay's Mesa Grill always has a lot of great dishes to offer one's palate. We have eaten here several times - always with great food and drinks. We had their signature margarita which was like a martini - very tasty. The chile relleno and ancho glazed salmon were both cooked perfectly with excellent taste. Our side of roasted corn with cotija cheese was very good. Our waiter was attentive and friendly with many good suggestions. Great evening prior to seeing Elton John at Caesars. Our only negative was the hostess who seemed to need training in greeting customers with a smile and making them feel welcome - except for her attitude everything was great."

"Our group of 6 chose Mesa because it was a Bobby Flay enterprise. We started off with the goat cheese nachos on the waiter's recommendation. The cheese was fairly tasteless and unimpressive. I ordered the black angus strip and my wife got the pork tenderloin.
My steak was cooked perfectly but flavor was nonexistent other than the outside char. I decided to try the tenderloin and found even less flavor except for the outside which had some spice to it. Our entire party had pretty much the same thoughts on their food.
The highlight of our meal was the red wine picked out by a very skilled sommelier. Not what you expect at the prices they charge for the food. Seems you pay for the Flay brand here as you sure don't pay for the quality."

"Nice place before or after going to a show at the Colosseum at Caesar's palace. Similar menu to the restaurant in NYC. Everything tasted as good. The most unique was the blue corn crusted halibut. I have never had halibut so tasty. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant."

"Sadly, we had a terrible experience due to our waitress. She was forgetful, combative, unobservant, and not a quality staff person for this restaurant. (Not sure she would be quality anywhere.) When we finally complained to a restaurant manager, we were really shocked that he responded to our complaints by saying "did you get everything that you ordered? Are all the charges correct on your bill (after the bill had been revised)?" He offered no comp, no invite to come back, he offered NOTHING. I find this disturbing that at such a high-end restaurant, there was only acknowledgement of the poor service, etc. but no offer to make it right.
Bobby Flay would be very dissappointed....I hope he reads this......"

"The food was fantastic, exactly what you would expect from a Bobby Flay restaurant. However, I was quite disappointed with the service. We waited for 15 minutes before the waitress took our drink orders and she was not familiar with the wine list. Definitely go there for the food though!!"

"Politely requested an "intimate or romantic" table for 2 on a Monday night. Upon arrival, the restaurant wasn't busy. We weren't politely greeted; no acknowledgment of our request or an explanation as to why it couldn't be done. Instead, we are led into the middle of the dining room by the kitchen in between tables of four guests. We smiled at each other, and then our waiter came and was grumpy! When we selected our bottle, we didn't realize the 1st choice was on the "wines by the glass" page--and our grumpy old waiter was quick to "flip" the pages for my husband! Dinner was just "so-so"...we really wanted a "Bobby Flay" type meal, but only had a "hotel restaurant" type meal! Disappointing evening for over $200! Staff seemed bored!"

"I ate the spice crusted tuna steak with mango couscous. The waitress suggested having it prepared rare. It was hands down the best tuna dish I have ever eaten.
We made a reservation and were seated a couple of minutes after arriving, which was great since we had a show to get to right after dinner.
The wait staff was friendly and very familiar with the menu answering any questions we had.
The food was served promptly and at the same so everyone could start eating at the same time.
It was a great experience, and I would certainly recommend Mesa Grill to any one interested in having a great meal."

"We had a very enjoyable evening at Mesa Grill. The food was excellent and the service staff was very friendly. An important fact to remember is most if not all of the items are cooked/prepared to order so it can increase the wait time for your food. The food is definitely worth the wait. We are looking forward to a return trip to Mesa on our next visit to Vegas. We would definitely recommend."
