Caffè Dolce at 500 Brooks Street, Missoula.
Caffè Dolce features fine dining with informal flare. In the heart of a historic Missoula neighborhood, Caffè Dolce features seasonal contemporary Italian menus with a focus on quality regional ingredients. Pasta is made fresh in-house daily. Traditional pizzas are prepared in a woodstone oven visible from the dining room, and seasonal entrees utilize Montana’s best ranchers and wild Alaskan seafood.
Dolce’s wine bar features a potent old-world-wine list, showcasing a stunning collection of artisanal wine makers from Italy, France, and Spain. The beer menu features local and regional, and worldly craft beers.
Think of us before dinner as well. Fresh baked goods, light breakfast offerings and an Italian coffee bar are served beginning 7:00 AM weekdays and 8:00 AM weekends. Lunch is served from the counter throughout the afternoon. House-made gelato rounds out the offering. Brunch served all day Sunday. Kids welcome. Seasonal patio.

"Everything without exception was well prepared and tasty. Salad perfectly dressed. Entrees done to perfection. Even the coffee just as it should be--rich and hot (not tepid). Indoor/outdoor seating an added delight."

"I have never been disappointed by Cafe Dolce. The waitstaff is knowledgeable about both the menu items (which change seasonally) and the wine list, giving personally recommendations and taking diners likes and dislikes into account. Dishes are often simple, allowing high-quality ingredients to really shine.
If you hope to get a spot on the beautiful patio (which I definitely recommend) note that Cafe Dolce does not take reservations for these tables; get there early or be prepared to wait a bit - but who's really in a rush, at Cafe Dolce you're in for a true Italian experience, gelato bar and all."

"I had heard that the main dining room is very loud, so I requested to be seated in the side room. This was very nice for our small group of four. Our server was wonderful and very accommodating to our special requests. Treating my parents to a complimentary dessert for their 62nd wedding anniversary was the perfect end to a lovely dinner. Thank you."

"Part of 3 had a nice dinner. Excellent sauteed brussel sprouts, good sauteed spinach, but seemed too salty. Lamb burger delicious but much too large. The very large portions seem to be true of other meals we asked about but did not order. We enjoyed the butternut squash ravioli, recommended. Pizza seemed very salty, which damped the otherwise good flavor. Flexible on substitutions and offers very good service. Nice that it is not crowded w/ lots of tables. Any more tables & it would be too energetic/noisy. Good desserts (but large)! We would go back, and w/ a large enough group to try some of the other meals that are large and could easily be split."

"Food and service were excellent. Was a little hesitant going in with children(we were on vacation) but took a chance anyway. Waitress very kid friendly. We are from the sacramento area. Just as good as any restaurant in our area and possibly better! Love trip advisor and open table."

"We simply love Cafe Dolce. Whenever we are in Missoula we make sure to have dinner there at least once. The menu is varied with options for everyone. On my last visit I had the minestrone soup which was by far the best of its kind that I have ever had. It is an energetic and fun restaurant with excellent service and amazing gelato."

"Excellent meal with fantastic wine pairings. We shared the Ribeye (tender and delicious) and a ceasar salad (one of the best) and enjoyed the Super Umbrian red wine. The wine is so good I'd go back just for it; even if the food wasn't so spectacular. The wait service is friendly, yet understated and gently attentive. The only negative about the experience was the interaction with the hostess. I'd tried to make reservations by calling the restaurant directly and she told me they couldn't get me in for over an hour and was very rude and blunt with her approach. I looked on open table and could get in within 15 minutes. I guess open table's the way to go. If the food and wait staff weren't so great I'd go elsewhere."
