"This is an ornate, comfortable classic gem that has retained the grandness and beauty of Old Sun Valley. The service was outstanding and our waiter had a good sense of humor and was very accommodating . There were 6 of us dining and every meal was delicious . They have a complete upscale menu and long wine list. For a special evening in Sun Valley do not miss dining at the Lodge Dining Room. Start off your evening with a cocktail in the Duchin room or the Sunroom on the second floor where you overlook the outdoor skating rink. We have been coming to Sun Valley for 20 years and always enjoy bringing family, friends And business groups to dine at this beautiful restaurant."

"We are glad to have the Lodge Dining reopen, in a town of excellent restaurants it "has a way to go". The music was wonderful. Our waiter had way too many people to look after and didn't quite get the difference between a twist of lemon and a slice. Seemed to be a little "put off" by our insistence. We also incurred an additional " upscale drink charge" for wanting a twist and an olive in our martini's. Wouldn't it be better to set the price higher to begin with. 3 out of 4 of us enjoyed our food."

"We visited Sun Valley resort for the first time last week for a family ski vacation. We dined out every night and had our last meal prior to returning home at the Lodge Dining Room. We were seated by the window and had a wonderful view of Bald Mountain, "Baldy" as the regulars refer to it. There was a nice three piece trio playing music for the guests and many large parties were enjoying the dining room. The appetizers/entrees were creative and delicious without being overly complicated. We felt the dessert menu could have been more creative, though. Only three selections and very ordinary....cheesecake, creme brulee and one other choice I can't recall.
We would return there on our next visit to Sun Valley."
