"Great service and extremely personable staff as they received our e-mail request and made a comment when we arrived which was a clear sign they were attentive to detail/ the dining experience. The manager was also interested in our time at the restaurant/experience and was not over attentive (stopped by once). Service was excellent and again not at your side every minute. The food was fabulous with perfect portions. Highly recommended to anyone as it was our first time, but we will drop by again."

"Absolutely great food. Creative twist on creole style with taste and flare. Brought our son and they treated him wonderfully. Dessert was fantastic as well. Had an excellent martini at the bar before dinner. Lots of energy at the restaurant and a beautiful setting. Will definitely come back!"

"My wife and I each had the 2-course pasta special for lunch. Her shrimp orchietta and lemon Caesar salad were good, with the salad being much better--the pasta had only a few shrimp. My oyster fettuccine was well-seasoned but the 6 tiny fried oysters really had very little flavor. The oyster and artichoke soup actually had more oyster flavor than the pasta, but I would choose the Caesar instead of the soup in hindsight. The last time we were at Bacco (pre-Katrina)the lunch special was 3 courses for $12, and now it's 2 courses for $15--talk about inflation."

"Service was outstanding! Food was delicious! Ambiance was good! Only negative would be the amount of noise; works well with a large group; however, if it's just you and your significant other, don't plan on a quiet romantic evening.

Parking...you can valet your vehicle right next door at the "W" Hotel, just know that the fee is comp'd...meaning when you hand the gentleman a $20.00 in hopes of change, he'll assume that it is a very generous tip and walk off while mumbling "thanks, have a good night".

But overall, very nice, very nice dinning experience."

"Restaurant seemed quite average in terms of appearance and service, but the food really was good. Their signature ravioli with champagne butter sauce is delicious. "Bacco was a very decent nouvelle Italian restaurant. Prices were mostly on par with what you would expect. The waiter was attentive if not a little unctuous. The dinner itself was tasty, the dessert I tried was divine, if a little too frozen for my taste. My only real complaint that the $9 glass of wine I ordered was more like a thimbleful. I would reccomend Bacco's for those of you in New Orleans looking for a more modern twist on your favorite Italian favorites."

"The service was great and the food was wonderful. I had the truffle fettucine appetizer as my main course - very good, with a side of sauteed vegetables and the special of the day salad. For dessert I had one of their specialties - tortoni with brandied cherries - fantastic. At first I was disappointed because they didn't have creme brulee but this was a fine alternative. My husband had the pork tenderloin which he said was very good and he said his salad, the lemon parmesan salad, was the best he's ever had in a restaurant. All in all a very good experience."

"Food was excellent from salad to dessert. Service was very good and there was plenty of time to enjoy each course. Would highly reccomend their signature lobster ravioli and the crabmeat lasagna was mouth watering. They tend to push a side of lump crabmeat, but I would forego this with any of the seafood dishes. "We were sat in the back of the resturant in the corner while there were clearly better tables available. It was the worst possible spot to be seated in the place. After that the waiter hardly ever checked on us. I had to drink my girlfriends water because the waiter never came back to refill our waters or just check on us. The food was ok, but not great enough to inspire me to come back. It saddens me because I had high hopes for Bacco. I will not return."

"Very good dining experience. Bacco is a Creole-meets-Italy restauarant. One comment: Their "signature" dish is lobster and shrimp ravioli with a dollop of black and red caviar on top. The pasta is sauteed in a champagne butter sauce. The term "rich" does not begin to describe this dish; it is almost too rich to eat. Their dessert of note is an ice cream "sandwich", two layers of red velvet cake with a rich vanilla ice cream filling. Simple yet amazingly decadent! Try the black drum (fish). Also excellent. Pass on salads and instead partake of those great Louisiana traditions, the gumbos and other soups (soup du jour was a tomato bisque with feta cheese)."

"It was not the greatest. The food was good. That's it, not amazing, just good. My guest ordered an entree that had pancetta. She does not eat red meat, and asked the waiter to hold off on the pancetta. When the order arrived, she started eating, assuming everything would be fine. She enjoyed it very much until she noticed the pancetta still in her meal. She asked the waiter to return it, he did, it was fixed, but when it came back, it just wasn't as good. The waiter offered free desert, we declined, he then hesitantly gave us one of our appetizers free of charge."

"My husband and I were in NOLA for a weekend getaway. I chose Bacco due to its closeness to the hotel we were staying in and i felt like Italian. The decor was inviting. I loved the lighting. We had two waiters. One in particular acted indifferent to us. He didnt smile and i could barely understand what he was saying. The only reason we chose to tip the two of them was because they completed their job of bringing us the correct food! The food was warm... not hot.. this includes appetizers. The flavor was fine. The wine was good."

"The food was terrific! Especially the three course $35 summer menu. The choices are exactly what we would have ordered on the regular menu. The service was very attentive- we had two servers on aour table at all times. It was my husband's birthday and they brought us an extra dessery as well as decorating the one we ordered.
