"Tried this restaurant for a graduation lunch. They were very flexible with the changing group size and kids. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. They did not automatically add gratuity to our check, which normally happens with groups. The place was nice and quiet at lunch time. The food was very good, no complaints. I would definitely recommend this for a party."

"Every time I go with my boyfriend we end up spending a ton because we can't stop ordering sushi. We've determined from now on we're going to try everything on the menu at some point. Sushi is one of the main things we love and have some other favorite places but consider Blue to be some of the best sushi we've had in Denver. I highly recommend everyone try Blue!"

"Myself and a group of coworkers went here for lunch the other day. It was a pretty quiet lunch without too many people. The server was great and very helpful in recommending appetizers and rolls. We ordered the regular and spicy edamame and spicy was very good. All the rolls, especially the Red Crunch, were very good also! I have eaten at most of the sushi places Downtown and this Blue is my favorite!"

"The food was delicious but the service was a little lacking. We sat at the bar and while the bartender was extremely knowledgable he did forget to place our appetizer order. He also had his back to the bar more than he should have. The ambience was nice but there was a big screen tv above the bar playing old kung fu movies. My wife and I were out on a rare date night and it kind of tool away from our experience"

"Great ambiance, I'm not a sushi fan but my husband is and he really liked it. Wine was good, my good was good but I think our server forgot my husbands sushi because I was almost done with my dinner by the time his sushi came. Other diners seated after us got their sushi first but we didnt complain. Nice place."

"More sushi downtown - woot!
We've been trying to go since they opened, we had plans to go on their soft opening, not knowing it was a soft opening, but when we called we were told there might be a table, there might not. So we chose to take our sushi dollars to colfax.
Finally over 6 months later, we finally made it - thanks to a living social deal!
We reserved a table for 4 plus a baby seat - luckily it's loud enough you can't hear the kiddo make a fuss. (good and bad that is was sooo loud) The sound level might have been due to where we were seated or possibly that there were no less than 4 birthday parties throughout the place!

"Blue Sushi in was so promising...alas, it is terrible. Worst sushi I’ve ever had. I am dumbfounded as to how they even stay in business.They serve subpar food that is almost completely devoid of any flavor. The coconut chicken salad with green curry dressing doesn't actually have any curry flavor in it. The whole salad just tasted like a pickle. Like the entire salad was pickled...yuck!
And their gyoza? An attempt at creating a unique version of the classic Japanese appetizer falls flat. The dumplings were incredible soggy and mundane. We tried a beef tenderloin sharing plate that was mediocre: lacking in flavor, but at least the meat seemed to be high quality. The actual sushi, however, took the cake for worst part of the meal."

"Had a Denver Restaurant Week meal at Blue Sushi, so we got to try a few different items. They had some fun and interesting rolls. Mussels were fantastic and the stir-fried peppers were fun for an appetizer. Service was great and the space is fun and modern. We may not be rushing back immediately, but it was a good meal in a fun location."

"My family and I had a wonderful time and our waiter was wonderful. A fellow WI resident, made the evening very enjoyable. The food was wonderful and we didn't have to wait long at all for our 10 different rolls of sushi that we ordered. The chocolate dessert was also DELICIOUS!!! My husband and I can't wait to go out again, just the 2 of us."

"It was incredibly slow for restaurant week. Even slow for a Monday night. I think I counted 5 tables the entire time we were there. Our server, Ronnie, didn't let that get him down and gave my wife and I some of the best service we had ever had.
He was extremely knowledgeable about the wine, sake, sushi and even had the dessert menu memorized down to the tiniest of details.
The sushi and sake both were amazing and the restaurant itself was spotless.
We will definitely be back, and the price wasn't so bad that we can't make this a weekly thing."

"The staff was very accommodating & helpful, the restaurant is very clean, with a nice open space well situated with tables. The sushi menu is innovative, with plenty of traditional elements. Plenty of variety to keep your mouth entertained. If you aren't very familiar w/ Lodo, it can be a bit of a search to find the restaurant, and parking was more limited due to all the snow that fell, but this doesn't detract from the restaurant at all."

"Our experience started out poorly. The host refused to seat us where we wanted to be seated and insisted we sit next to the only other couple in the restaurant. Even though it was Valentines Day. We had a 5:15pm reservation and the seating was completely open. I've never been refused a different seat before at any eating establishment. So we decided to eat at the sushi bar. Then the host asked us to move down a seat so there would be an 'even' number of seats (as if no singles would be eating out on that special day)...we complied even though we thought it weird. With that said within 15 minutes an individual came in an sat at the sushi bar...But the food was excellent and the service was very good."
