"Great ambiance. Pleasant young inexperienced staff. Trying to be sophisticated but all the staff is too young and unprepared for this to be achieved. Probably a good spot for a younger "want to be" crowd. For us, certified foodies, it missed the mark."

"The food was fresh, imaginative, presented beautifully and very flavorful. I had the snapper and my wife had the seabass, both of which we would recommend. The popcorn soup appetizer was unlike anything I have ever had, not sure if that's a good thing or not but probably still worth a try. Our server, Argelia, was absolutely wonderful and charming. The chef stopped by our table two separate times to see how we were enjoying everything, which was a nice touch. The decorations and overall ambience was fun, funky and quite hip- very South Beach-esque."

"Vacationing in San Juan and heard the rooftop bar at The Water Club was worth checking out so we decided to eat dinner at Zest while there. They must have been shooting for new brochure or something because we had photographers shooting tables and bar scene - really?? During dinner hours?? Food was not memorble at all and service was fair at best. We started with grilled octopus salad (just ok) and then my husband had the fettuccine with crab (no flavor) and I had the snapper over plantains (again no flavor). Overall nothing special about this place - would not recommend."

"The noise level from the bar was way over the top. It totally intruded into the dinig experience. It took much, much too long for management to put a stop to it. Once they did, the evening was very nice. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend it to people who have any issues with hearing or just want a lovely quiet evening of dinner with someone special or with friends."

"The food was superb. I love how they took traditional foods and did a twist on them. For example, ceaser salad with a parmesan cheese creme brulee. Yummy! Or the popcorn soup, like eating the best popcorn ever. Try the ginger mojitos. The server was very attentive. Will definetly recommend to everybody and will be going back."

"Upon arrival we were seated on the lighted dance floor near the bar. Strange ambiance, but whatever... We waited for about ten minutes for our waiter to appear. He seemed nervous. We ordered cocktails and he promptly left in another direction (away from the bar). He returned 5 minutes later with tap water and was terribly confused when we asked for "Pellegrino" instead. Disappeared for 5 minutes. Said they did not have Pellegrino but had another brand. We said that was fine and 5 minutes later he returned. Disappeared again. After almost 40 minutes with only water (still waiting for our cocktails) we decided to leave. When I asked for the manager, he was equally clueless. There are dozens of good restaurants in PR. This isn't among them."

"Great dining experience! The only negative review I have was that we had to wait for around 20 minutes despite having made a reservation for a specific time. Other than that, everything was perfect. Would definitely go again!"

"Family of 4 - we went to Zest on Saturday with short notice. Everything was awesome and worthy of a 5 star review. All the staff was very pleasant and attentive. Chef Rahul checked on us a couple times during our meal - nice touch. We enjoyed our meals so much, we decided to go back Sunday night - our last night in Isla Verde.Sunday... not so much. Short ribs (which i had the night before) and Pork Cheeks were way overcooked (didn't know that was possible). Plating, service and attentiveness not the same (minor, but we noticed no sprout garnish on fettuccine for example). Chef Rahul not around today - so what else was missing? If this were our first visit, we would not have returned the next day. Still recommend despite this."

"Food preparation and taste was both excellent and creative. We had Sea Bass and Arroz con Couscous. Only downsides were somewhat slow service and not real comfortable dining chairs."
