"We had a one pm reservation for two and were immediately seated. It was quite noisy until some tables left. Service was exceptional. Cocktails were great. Food was very good. We are an elderly couple, so parking was somewhat of a problem. But we managed and will return someday."

"I took my wife to Spagio to celebrate our first anniversary and it turned out to be a great decision. Everything was great. Our waiter, Nathaniel, was friendly and very attentive. I had the meatloaf, which was perfectly cooked and had excellent flavor. My wife had the lobster ravioli and raved about it. Dessert was phenomenal as well. We had the molten chocolate cake and the Sache. Both were divine. We also felt that the prices were very reasonable for the quality of food and service that you receive. We will definitely be back!"

"Providing dependably gracious hospitality in a comfortably elegant setting for 30 years, Spagio sets a high standard for newer upstarts to live up to. The menu offers an appealing variety of excellent choices, and the food never disappoints. We've been visiting Spagio for so long it almost seems like coming home to dine - if one had a superb chef in the kitchen."

"My girlfriend had just returned from a long study abroad trip and I wanted to take her to a nice place for our first meal. My friend had reccomended Spagio in grand ville and after looking up some pleasant reviews I decided to make a reservation. I found the staff to be very accommodating to my request for a romantic table for two near a window and away from large tables. The dinner was fabulous but the best part was the dessert display. All in all, I would say that Spagio's staff, food and atmosphere makes it the perfect restaurant for a date with your significant other."

"We had a group of 4, including my 4 year old daughter. We all frequently dine out, but had never all been to Spagio at the same time. We were looking for something different that would be kid-friendly and would give us a more festive locale ti celebrate. Spagio fit the bill nicely. The hostess and host greeted us warmly, even taking some extra time to converse with my daughter. Our waitress was great! She, too, seemed to enjoy my daughter and laughed along with us at some of her antics. All in all, we had a great lunch. There were not many other children there, but my daughter was well-behaved, so we blended in with the crowd. This was an expensive lunch (over $80 with tip), but it was memorable and unique."

"We no longer live in Columbus, but we do our best to make a visit to Spagio when there. Great food and wine in a fun atmosphere. This visit, we were seated near the bar, which provided too much noise for the 55+ in our group. Food this time was not as good as in the past. I had the porchetta, which I expected to be a fatty cut of meat. I didn't expect the gnocchi to be fried and swimming in butter, nor the spring peas to be in a cream sauce (neither described on the menu). Whoa, enough fat already! We started with one server, who was quickly replaced with another. What a great change! Second server was great. We recommend Spagio and asking for complete food descriptions to be informed."

"Four of us enjoyed our dinner completely. I had the lobster ravioli which was out standing;my husband had the seafood stew. We wroth were completely satisfied with our meal. Our compa ions Beth ordered the specials - the beef short ribs and the salmon. Three of us had the deck iOS small dinner salad and I had the chopped salad. It could have been a meal by itself, ut I was glad it wasn't as I really loved the lobster ravioli. Our waitress, Megan, was perfect. The food came out in a timely fashion. We did not feel the least bit rushed nor did we have to wait an unreasonable time,either. All tOgether it was a perfect evening!"

"Was in town for family gathering last Sunday. Followed along to this place for food and convesation with moderate expectations. Well! The food was sublime! Freshness of vegetables, flavorful pairings, perfect preparation and presentations, and a server who had the perfect touch for everything.
I had just returned from San Francisco, but this is the meal I remember. I'll never pass through Columbus again without making plans to revisit Spagio."

"Our service was very good as was the food. Unfortunately the restaurant had already run out of some of the items (the quiche,for one) but the menu still has good choices left. The apple strudel was outstanding, even though you had rin out of the ice cream. QWe had good food, the restaurant was full but wew did not feel crowded. "Having been to Spagio many times in the past, we thought we were in for a treat when we decided to go there for brunch on Mother's Day, but we were wrong. Our service was slow, and at least two of the items we were served didn't match the way they were described on the menu. A small iceberg wedge instead of an arugula salad accompanied a rather mediocre eggs Benedict dish, and the French toast "waffle fries" we're missing the creme Anglaise that was advertised. Overall, it seemed as if the quality of the food was sacrificed because they felt the need to stretch what they had for a big crowd. Then again, it wasn't all that busy. Maybe others have already learned that Spagio just isn't what it used to be."

"Service was extremely slow! Reservations at 10:30 and received our food at 12:30. Server forgot to bring the drinks we ordered and we had to remind her. Menu was "take it or leave it." The response is that they were so busy that they could not make eggs a different way- really? You can't modify eggs?! Also, the place was half empty. Normally, a great place in the heart of Grandview, but on this day- simply terrible!"

"I was very pleased to see that the menu offered vegan and gluten-free options! What I found a little disheartening was that the online menu was more extensive than the restuarants menu, I had toggle between menus to decide what I wanted.
My date is not vegan or gluten free. He ordered the chicken dinner to find that parts of his chicken were still under cooked. The staff was very accomodating to the situation and rectified it in a just way."

"We chose Spagio for our daughter's graduation from The Ohio State University because it is one of her favorite restaurants. Spagio did not disappoint. We arrived early and the hostess graciously sat us right away. Our server was outstanding! She was very pleasant and the service was superb. Our meals were well prepared and delicious. "Decided to attend Spagio to celebrate my graduation with a celebratory lunch/dinner with my family. The food was just okay. It was limited. I wish they would have had dinner menu options for a 2 o clock reservation. The ambience was not great where we were. The service was poor. One server took care of our table of 10, and in my opinion she needed much more help. Lots of things went unnoticed and not replaced. Very disappointing."

"The food was good. The patio was nice. The service was OK. We split a salad and an entree, and the waitress did not offer to split it for us which is unusual for a restaurant of this caliber.
I was disappointed with the selections of wines by the glass. The Cab was weak and a little bitter. The Malbec was so-so. Their list of wines by the bottle looked nice, but there were only two of us and it was a Tuesday evening, so I would have liked a better by-the-glass selection.
The atmosphere is active and interesting, the lighting is not really low. Good for a friendly dinner, not necessarily for a romantic one."

"The food portions are large, so come hungry. This venue was quiet during this visit, but is usually bustling and busy. Our entrée, the Pork Chop takes a bit more time to cook, so we ordered an appetizer for the group. That said, it is worth waiting for. This was a first occasion for friends and they enjoyed their meal with wine."

"I really want this restaurant to be great again. We have celebrated many special occasions here, I love the location and even though the restaurant decor hasn't changed in 20 years, I still love it. Our service was just great, our waitress was very friendly and attentive. My daughter had to have the lobster bisque it has been a probably 2 years since I have been in and even if other things on the menu were not so great the bisque was always the best. This time the lobster was so overlooked it had an awful texture, it made me a little queasy. Our other items were fine, edible but nothing great. I probably won't be back. I really really wish they would overhaul the menu and really care about the food again."

"Colorful and ecclectic inside, but in a very tasteful manner that we loved. The tarte flambee was quite delicious. The greens on the vegetable Napoleon were far too salty, but the dish was still very enjoyable. My boyfriend had no complaints about his porkchop. The sachertorte and molten lava cake for desert finished off the evening perfectly. There was a small problem in that our entree order didn't get to the kitchen right away. Though we waited longer than we would have liked, with the appetizer in our bellies, the relaxed ambiance, and the genuine friendliness of our waitress, the wait was far less disappointing than it would have been in many other restaurants. Next time we feel like a nicer dinner, we'll definitely return."

"While traveling and passing through Columbus, I met a friend for dinner (on the restaurant side) and was impressed - the wine list was very good, and an excellent value. We ordered the calamari - it was EXCELLENT, a must have. We also ordered a pizza and the gorganzola pasta with chicken - both were very good.
Our server, Megan was very friendly, knowledgeable and personable, a pleasure to have.
In addition, they have daily special offerings - not just additions to the menu but items that are weekly specials on a given day - again - an excellent value, more than worth what they charge. And finally, on Sunday nights (which this was), the bottles of wine are offered at a 20% discount - impressive.
I'd come back again"

"We wanted to dine for lunch at a place with great food and a quiet atmosphere where we could actually talk and have a conversation. Spagio fit the bill in both areas. We were very pleased with our selections (Crab meat macaroni and cheese, Crab/Avacado salad, and Lobster Bisque) All three in our party were well pleased! We had come in from out of town and needed a wonderful place to eat before a funeral. We can hardly wait to return.. next time just for fun!"

"Had brunch at Spagio. The server was nice but then when our food came out it was clear he wasn't paying attention. The poached eggs on the Eggs a la maison and on the heuvos racheros were overcooked with the hollandaise sauce completely congealed. The dishes were cold. He should have known not to serve it. We got freshly made poached eggs but without the sauce. I've had dinner before but it wasn't particularly memorable. Won't be back."

"My niece and I were disappointed with our entries. My wife had the fish special and was pleased.Our niece had the vegetable plate and said that it was bland. My walleye fish pieces were very small and smothered with an odd combination that did not go well together. The wine selection was fine and the desert of cheesecake was excellent.
