Grass Fed is simple bistro-style restaurant focusing on a down-to-earth menu highlighting Grass Fed beef. Open for lunch, dinner and brunch on weekends, Grass Fed strives to provide a warm convivial environment to enjoy high quality grass-fed products, fine wines and a cocktail program based on house-infused spirits.
"This was my second time dining at Grass Fed and it was even better this time. I loved the lunch (1st outing) but I was more concerned with the decor of the space (thus not focusing on the food as much...big mistake). I wanted my husband to see it, so I booked dinner. We barely noticed the room. The space magically became more intimate in the evening hours, the service amazing and the food...wow. If I could have ordered four entrees I would have! The whole simple concept of using locally owned products (meat, veggies, etc) shines brightly here. The interesting combination of ingredients is insightful (roasted chicken with bratwurst) and so delicious. Seriously, how can a cheeseburger be that good?!"

"I really wanted to like this place since it's two blocks from my home but I just can't. The menu is annoying - really they should let you choose a protein and a side but instead they give you fries as a side and force an upcharge of $5 for anything else, which is basically the price for the side in the first place. Not a good deal and not customer friendly. The fish option recently was not fish - it was shellfish, which isn't an option for fish eaters sometimes. Food was decent but pretty boring, and when the tab for two with one glass of wine comes to over $90 with tax and tip then something is wrong."

"I love French entrecôte and thought Grass Fed may bring a new take on it; unfortunately, the approach Grass Fed took was not very good.
My entire experience was underwhelming: the restaurant was empty, the service was slow, and the food was bland. The reviews you read, which paint a bleak picture, are generally true.
I would not visit again."

"I'm a vegetarian and I went with two friends who ate meat - I had a fantastic meal - was not a problem at all that i didn't eat meat and my friend who does eat steak loved the grass fed steak and she has previously never liked grass fed meat. Was a great meal for us all!!"

"It's important to know that the restaurant has a very limited menu - 1 choice each of beef, chicken, fish, with fries and salad included and additional sides available. My table found the beef to be good, but not great. The salad was delicious. The front of the restaurant is very pretty, but the back is colder (temperature and ambiance). I noticed that the servers weren't very attentive at all to the back tables. It's a nice addition to the neighborhood - a grown up restaurant - but it wouldn't be my first recommendation for steak."

"The service was good, the most spectacular thing we ate was the bread service. We had the sirloin, but , it comes cut up, with no char, and some sort of au jus. We were expecting a nice grilled piece of meat.Brussel sprout salad was delicious. only thing we disliked were the one line of tables, and being seated next to people we could hear their conversation and touch them."

"Did not think restaurant week was that good of value. You actually pay more for the steak dinner and dessert. Best part of dinner was the drinks and butterscotch pudding."

"The menu at Grass Fed is small but the mussels were delicious. The service was sub-par and very slow to say the least. The waiter didn't know much about the drink menu. Grass Fed has some tweaks to work out before I would consider going back."

"Went for Restaurant Week, and my friend and I were disappointed. The roasted beets, fries, and pecan rum bread pudding were tasty, but the steak was under seasoned and my friend's salad tasted like lawn clippings. The service was adequate. Clean, but kind of boring look to the place. It was mostly fine, but we are not dying to go back anytime soon."

"Went to Grass Fed for restaurant week. It's a good place to go for a leisurely meal. The food was all wonderful. Portions are kind of small but that's to be expected at "upscale dining." When we pointed out some discrepancies between the online menu and the one offered in the restaurant, the manager offered us the two missing items on the house. House cocktails were also very good. The overall pace of the meal/service was on the slow side but not a big deal if you're not in a hurry."

"I was disappointed in the ambiance and the food. It was all just ok. The resaurant was cold feeling and the tables were way too close together. For a steak place I expect perfect done-ness. I ordered my steak "medium" and it was over-done. My friend ordered her steak "medium rare" and it was under-done."

"This place is so adorable! Everyone who works here is sweet and dresses so well, and the food is good too. I came here for Restaurant Week, but it was still expensive, so one star off for that. We had a wonderful time though."

"The menu was limited, and that is refreshing! the appetizer of beets was great, but if the goat cheese was warm, it would have been better. Steak was really good. We had a good time"

"The decor and ambiance of the restaurant was very simple and clean. The mussels were delicious. But my husband's steak was a couple of pieces smaller than our friend who ordered the same thing. Some of the food lacked consistency."

"The place is nice, clean. The food was alright but get concepts left more to desire for the actual meal. I felt the flavored were there but they didn't really pop."

"Delicious drinks and food. There were four of us for dinner so we literally ordered the entire menu. They were out of steak tartare but had salmon tartare instead, it was delish. The beet salad to start was lovely, could have used a little more balsamic on the plate. Brussels sprouts salad was also nice. I would skip the curried cauliflower, not that it was bad, just nothing special. Definitely get the kale and the sweet potatoes though. The salad that comes with the dinner was blah. The steak and fries however totally made up for the yucky salad, perfectly cooked and crispy fries with house made ketchup. YUM. For dessert DO NOT MISS the butterscotch pudding, I could have eaten three, all by myself."
