"We were the only people in the place on a quiet Sunday night which should've meant we had excellent service but it was only ok. We had to keep seeking her out and asking her for things. The food was ok but nothing standout plus they were out of a number of dishes on the menu and its a small menu. And then as we were wrapping up she came in to kick us out as they wanted to lock up..... just didn't feel that if we were your only business for the night that you shouldn't just wait as we had paid(which I had to go looking for her for the bill) and were obviously finishing up."

"The Gatsby Mansion had a fixed menu for Valentine's Day that was reasonably priced so while in Victoria we decided to try it. The salad with beets and goat cheese was nice except the beets were canned. The crab-cake had nice flavor, but was a bit over-cooked. The Beef Wellington was decent, although was cooked rare and I would have preferred if it had been more pink than red. The dessert, a flourless chocolate cake, was quite nice. Overall, the food was good, but not great. The ambiance was poor: the room was high-ceilinged and brightly lit with no background music, and left one feeling that everyone else in the room could hear every word we said. Unpleasant. Biggest disappointment: a pathetic wine list. Unforgiveable!"

"This was my 3rd time back to the Gatsby Mansion and they continue to impress. We were greeted with a warm smile and a very personable server. The food was promte in delivery and both parties enjoyed the experience.
