"This relatively new restaurant is near K Street in DC and not far from the White House. It's a very good new addition for lunch. The flatbreads with several different toppings and usually a daily special are a particular draw and with part of a salad make a very satisfying lunch."

"Overall, the brunch experience at Woodward Table was very enjoyable. We went on Mother's Day and even though that is normally a crazy busy time for restaurants that serve brunch, the atmosphere was very pleasant, we were seated right away, and the staff was nice. The food was very good, portions were nice size for brunch. The only thing i would nit pick about was the fact that our server was not particularly attentive. We had to ask multiple times for items like ketchup and syrup and it seemed like he would just go off and forget about us for a while, not really checking to see if things were to our liking or if we needed anything. But the food was good, and I would recommend."

"My wife had the trout and I had the Corned Beef Brisket, both were excellent. The trout had a nice sauce with it and wasn't too rich like some places. The Corned Beef Brisket had glazed vegetables with it that helped cut the saltiness of the brisket, it was a good paring.
The portion sizes were good, I had trouble finishing all the Brisket but it was too good to leave!
We also had desert, banana cream pie and white chocolate Creme Brulee. Both were very good as well."

"We had family from out of town visiting for the weekend and needed a good restaurant with a menu that wasn't abundant, but offered variety. We also wanted to go somewhere that wasn't too swanky nor too casual - The Woodward Table offered us this. Every member of our party raved about their food, but the clear winner was the tuna with short beef rib. A strange, but excellent combination. The restaurant had a nice buzzing atmosphere, but wasn't too noisy, so we could all catch up and chat. The food is a little on the pricier side, but it was worth every penny. If you need to please a varied group of people and want to treat them, you can't go wrong here."

"This is a terrific spot to try an unusual dish of seared tuna over braised short ribs. Sounded odd but boy does it work. Excellent! We also loved the lamb ribs basted in a spicy sauce.. The service was great. We had asked for a table in the back by the big windows for our group of 6 and they gladly accommodated us. The only caveat is that the menu is a bit limited and you may want to check it online before you book. Overall a fun and interesting place to try"

"This time I went to Woodward Table just for a burger, I am pregnant and was craving a good burger and I heard they had good ones. Well they proved me right! It was very good! And usually I'm not the kind of Burger person, but for this one I will definitely come back.
The server Robert I think was his name was very nice, when he saw I was pregnant he congratulated me, he was professional and friendly while not intrusive nor pushy, loved it!"

"I went to Woodward Table for a business lunch, and was unimpressed. It took a very long time to be acknowledged by the server, who didn't seem apologetic at all when they finally came over. We both ordered the Tuna entree, which would have been good, but it was severely over-salted and therefore unappetizing."

"I was pretty disappointed with my brunch experience there. The food was all fair, nothing special. I felt that I could have cooked it all in my apartment's kitchen. The portions were very small. Service was very slow and restaurant was half empty. My grandma was visiting in town and interested in ordering 1 bloody mary but the waiter would only sell the bottomless. That doesn't really help someone who has to drive back to Baltimore after the meal.
I will not plan on going back."

"Entertained a group of members in town for a convention and wanted to try the place since I really liked Potenza and heard it was similar. While the food was good and the atmosphere was conducive to good conversation, I wasn't really wow'ed. My trout was just okay and the flatbread appetizer I had while good was a little heavy on the oregano. The service was okay, our waiter really never introduced himself, wasn't very attentive and took some time to get drinks. Overall its a good place for large groups where you don't shout to make yourself heard and the inside has been re-freshed."

"I have to say that my experience at Woodward Table was not a good one. I had ordered the asparagus salad and it was "literally" drenched in dressing. I could ring out out my food (no exaggeration). When I asked for another salad, the waiter was not particularly happy about it but he did offer to bring me another one. When the new one came, that too had dressing on it. I have heard the bar food is decent. I did enjoy a Happy Hour there once before. That said, I have no plans to return for lunch/dinner anytime soon."

"First time dining here and the food was fantastic. We had the bone marrow, which just melted in your mouth. The duck, which was cooked perfectly and the crab flatbread. Desserts were also very flavorful and simple.
Our server was very kind and friendly, but she needs to learn the menu. I asked her about the duck and she said it was, "Chewy." I had a feeling she never tried the dish, so I wanted to assess it for myself. The duck was cooked and seasoned perfectly and not chewy at all. For dessert I asked what sorbets and ice creams were available, but she didn't know. We ended up getting the apple sampler, which our server thought was small when it came out and the coffee and cream. Both were delicious. Kudos to Pastry Chef Bever"

"I made reservations here to catch up with old friends. The noise in the restaurant was so loud that we literally could not hear each other from across the table. Unfortunately this colored our whole experience. The food was quite good, although I found the portions rather small. I think that this establishment is suited more for getting drinks and a bite at the bar. Unless something can be done to quiet the restaurant portion I am not sure I would go back unless perhaps to dine outside. The noise from the traffic would be easier to deal with than the noise in the restaurant."

"I was excited to try WoodWard Table after reading the restaurant review in the Washington Post, although options for vegetarians are limited.
The heirloom carrot salad sounded better than it tasted & would have greatly benefitted from more hazelnuts. My dining companions got the White House Salad, which was indeed all white on a white plate & not very visually appealing. A pop of color (from parsley or pomegranate seeds) would have brightened the dish. My flatbread was ok, but the mushrooms were rubbery.
Our server disappeared for long periods of time so our beverages ran low. Someone at my table had to request hot tea twice before he received it. Another member of the wait staff tried to clear my plate while I was still eating."

"Although they have only been open since November they hit a home run with me. The food was innovative and very good. The service was low key but exceptional. Their wine list was all small vineyards but with little in the way of description. We had a very good wine recommended by the waiter. My oyster stew was different from any I've had but excellent, rich and well flavored to show off the oysters. The lamb leg steak came with fava beans, goat cheese, artichoke hearts, pine nuts fire roasted grape tomatoes. Each bite was a different wonderful flavor combination. The duck breast on a bed of duck leg confit was also excellent. For dessert I recommend an amazingly delicious pear tart paired with blue cheese ice cream that was simply amazing."

"Nice ambiance. The noise level was low enough for our party of six to all hear each other around a rectangular table which I was very pleased with. The service was good - some of the staff that brought the dishes out didn't know who the dish belonged to. Not a big deal, but than again it doesn't take them up to 5-star service. The food was very good. Great flat breads and the meals all were very good. I was glad we ordered a few sides as the dishes didn't come with sides. Desserts were also good. I would definitely come back here."

"Service like a fast food restaurant with waiter not knowing much about the menu and disappearing for long stretches. Seemed to be bothered that she had to come back more than once to get our order.

"Located where Potenza formerly was, and part of the restaurant chain that owns Vidalia.
I had lunch with a colleague on a Friday. I was able to make a quick reservation via Open Table and we were seated immediately when we arrived. Our table was close to where the food is prepared so we got a good view of everything that rolled-off the "assembly line," and I have to say, everything looked great.
I ordered the chicken salad and she ordered the short ribs, and we split a side of mac and cheese. The cuisine is "upscale southern," and presentation is EVERYTHING. Seriously, the food on every plate we saw looked gorgeous. Not to mention, our food did not disappoint!
Everything about the experience was top-notch."

"Even though we had a reservation, the host sat us at a table in the bar area. To me this is not acceptable unless I'm asked if that's okay with me and I say I am. If I have a reservation, I expect to be seated in the main dining area. We did ask to be reseated but had to wait for a table in the dining area.
The food was good for the most part, although the Brussels sprouts were not cooked well and are oddly combined with grapes, which I don't think works very well."

"This was the second time we ate at Woodward Table. The first time, my husband and I ate at the bar and loved it. The second time, we brought our son to celebrate his 25th birthday. The food was excellent once again, and once ordered came very quickly to the table. However, the service person we had this time was rather flighty and forgot to bring my son his drink that he ordered following dinner and the coffee for my husband which arrived after my son and I each finished our desserts. And she even mixed up the desserts, giving me my dessert with "Happy Birthday" decorated along the edge of my plate, instead of on my son's dessert plate.
But overall, love Woodward Table and would definitely recommend it."
