The new restaurant concept will be a contemporary version of the original. Grounded with the style of Italian cooking we are all familiar with, the restaurant will feature many "Ralph's Classics," as well as new dishes with a modern twist. This unique combination will make Ralph's of South Philly the perfect compliment to Sheraton Valley Forge's sleek yet cozy atmosphere. The new restaurant will offer premium dining and a full-service bar with its own substantial food menu and an extensive wine list.

"The food was very good, simmer to the original Ralph's except that a bit more garlic would be appreciated. What we didn't like was that we asked to substitute a little more of the veggie that came
with our entree for the potato and were charged for a side. What we live the most is Steve Ritrovato singing there Friday nights - it is SO hard to find good live jazz/trad pop! Love the setup except that we asked for a table right by Steve and were told we could not sit in any of the 3 right in front of him, they didn't have a server for them. Give me a break, you couldn't move a server from the table we rejected? We sat at the bar, which was very pleasant with great service."

"Glasses were very spotty but quickly replaced when mentioned to the server. When server was asked to describe 2 different wines he said which he liked better! I had to ask again to have the wines described & then just got very basic details - "this one is fruitier, this one is drier." Servers definitely need better training. Food was good not great. Would try again. The decor is lovely, location is easy to get to being right in the Sheraton Hotel."

"This was our first time at Ralph's and we wanted to try King of Prussia, instead of going into the city on Mother's Day. We were pleasantly surprised at how wonderful the food and the service were. We shared an appetizer, and 'dipped' the plate clean with the crusty bread. We each had fantastic entrees - black lobster ravioli w/scallops, stuffed pork chop, wonderful chicken marsala, and we shared two desserts - cannoli cake and tiramisu. There were several wait staff taking care of us. They were friendly, but left us alone for time to talk. The room was modern and open without the normal tight quarters of old Italian restaurants. Everything was done perfectly, and the bill was less than expected. We will return again."

"The Manager Ryan was fantastic. He special ordered escargot for my mother and I for mothersday. Above and beyond !!!

"Although the food isn't going to be an entirely new culinary experience, it is tasty and reasonably prices. With a professional atmosphere, Ralph's would be a great place for a business lunch or dinner. Better than you expect and less expensive than you image when you think of a hotel restaurant, this is definitely worth a visit.
If you know the storied past of Ralph's in the city, you should not expect old world charm or historically quaint decorations. This King of Prussia location is fairly formal and modern in execution and ambiance."

"Do not expect to find the original here. Everything is different, Valet, modern decor, atmosphere, food & cost. Very little resembles Ralph's of South Philly. Staff friendly and attentive and what we had was good, not great. Nothing in particular left an impression that I have to return. May try again, convenient with reservation & valet. Would be good for a night out w/friends or larger group, modern feel, just do not expect what you know of the original Ralph's in Philly to be tucked away here."

"We love the Ralph's in Philly - and decided to try their KOP location. The waitress raved about their crab cake special- All LUMP crab- she boasted! My husband ordered the crab cakes- big mistake. They were tiny pieces of shredded crab, and half filler (and way over salted). When the waitress asked how everything was, we told her that the crab cakes weren't good. My husband actually sent them back after having only a bite of the one. He didn't order anything else- just sent them back. When the check came we were surprised that the $42 crab cake special was still on the bill! And the manager, who spoke to every table around us didn't come to our table. Bad service. We won't be going back."

"our waiter did not even know what food he put ion front of each of us....2 items were incorrect and apparently that was the kitchen's fault and it was clear he did not know the desciption of the menu items and could not clarify what we even had in front of us. What I ate was good just not what I had ordered and it had taken so long to be served we took the food instead of delaying the meal even longer. Very disappointed. It was also sooo noisy and we could only hear the person directly next to you. Not a great experience at all and would not go back"

"My guest and I were there for a special occasion - his birthday. When reserving on open table I requested a cozy spot. We were seated at a table for 2 right below the very noisy bar. It was so noisy that we couldn't hear the the waiter read the specials.
The food was good but I would not suggest dining at Ralph's in King of Prussia for an intimate an relaxing meal with someone special."

"Food was either under cooked- calamari s was barely fried- or overlooked - mussels were soft. Server was untrained and misunderstood requests. Brought a bottle of wine when the person at the table ordered a glass. Brought 2 orders of calamari when all we asked for was marinara sauce in addition to the spicy prep. Very disappointed especially she the south Philly resturant is so good"

"This location is much closer to my home. The menu and recipes are the same as the original location. Very delicious and authentic Italian food. Service was swift and the food arrived to the table quickly and was very hot. Great quiet atmosphere with many tables that could be secluded and romantic if so desired. There was plenty of space between tables throughout the restaurant. Loved the soft Italian music playing."

"I have been to the original Ralph's on 9th street in the old neighborhood, the ambience was the same, the decor was a lot nicer than the old Ralph's the parking is much better. The service was excellent, the manager only came to the table to say "enjoy your entrees" . I have been to other restaurants where a staff member constantly stops by and asks if everything is ok. The staff at Ralph's are confident that everything is excellent so they do not ask if your food or service is ok."

"Overall, we enjoyed our meal. There was one issue, however. My daughter's filet mignon was delivered very well done when she had requested medium rare. The waiter said it would take a while to get a new one. The manager happened by and saw she had no plate and asked why, so I told him. He went to the kitchen and returned in a few minutes with a perfectly cooked steak. Then, when the bill came, there was no mention of the incident, no apology, and no discount. Also, I was charged for a side that I asked for instead of the regular side. I asked for the manager and he took care of it and comp'd our dessert. The singer was great."

"The only resemblance to the original Ralph's is the name. The salad was excellent, but my pasta sauce had a strange and unpleasant flavor, and my husband's red sauce was tasteless. That's too bad, because the ambiance and the service were outstanding. Our waiter couldn't have been more attentive and friendly, and the whole staff really seemed to be trying hard to please. They do, unfortunately, need to improve their recipes. South Philly Italian it's not."

"Our meals were great. I had veal saltimbocca and the Madeira sauce was outstanding. We are Italian and retirees and felt the prices were high for what we consider standard Italian food. Our reservation was 6pm on a Friday night and were entertained by a singer who was quite good at singing Sinatra. However, by the time we left, we weren't able to hear each other because of the additional noise from the other tables. We will recommend Ralph's for the food, service and bar but will include comments about the noise level and prices."

"Menu is limited from normal Ralphs menu in South Philly. The waiter gave us some long hots after asking b/c they were not on the menu. I wish they had more items like South Philly - they only offered one type of Soup. The food was amazing as always, the staff was extremely friendly, prompt, and courteous. I would go back - the atmosphere was very modern and sophisticated - but it's inside a hotel - which isn't obviously advertised - we drove passed the place first, not knowing where it was."

"Since we have been going to the original Ralph's for years, we were worried that the "new" Ralph's would be a let-down... but we were happy to find that this Ralph's offers the same food quality and service! And it's much closer to our house and easier to park! Still family-run - the chef came out and pointed out pictures of his great-grandfather and other relatives who worked at the original restaurant. A note: the famous eggplant parmigiana dish is not on the menu but you can ask for it! We'll be back!"

"My husband and and I went to Ralph's for the first time this weekend. We arrived early so got a couple of drinks at the bar first. My martini was made perfectly, dry with extra olives. Nice ambiance at the inside bar.
For dinner, we split the calamari which was really tasty although the sauce was a little oily. We also split a Caesar salad, which was pretty standard, nothing really remarkable. For our entrees, my husband got the scallop and pasta special and I got the linguine with red clam sauce. We both devoured our dinners. Very good.
Overall we both enjoyed our meals. Portions were generous and it was nice to go out for a nice dinner in K o P somewhere that's not a chain restaurant. We would definitely go back"

"My husband and I are both from South Philly and we are so happy that we have a Taste of our food coming to us.
Salvator our waiter was very attentive to us and very knowledgeable of all the foods on the menu.

"This restaurant is very fancy. We did not realize this, and brought our two young children. Our waiter and the entire staff went way out of their way to pay special attention to our children and make them comfortable. They brought food and drinks out early for the kids, and politely child-proofed the table to avoid any spilling incidents. The result was a great experience by all. The food was wonderful and they really impressed us with their service. Highly recommend."

"Have dined at Ralph's on 9th Street for decades. Have never been disappointed. It is a family favorite. But have to say the Ralph's in KOP is a hassle-free (parking and space in restaurant) alternative. The staff is warm and welcoming. The food is wonderful. The atmosphere a step up from 9th Street. Our waiter, Aries, was fun, efficient and accomodating. He made it a great experience. Will go again, and again! Thanks Ralph's"

"Classic Italian restaurant with all the old-time classics you ate as a kid like veal and chicken parmagiana... Delicious tomato sauce and the portions were ample enough for take-home for a 2nd meal. The mussels were great and definitely big enough to share as an appetizer. The bread was great, but wish it was served warm. Great to have Ralph's now in KOP! The ambiance is nothing like the original Ralph's in South Philly... the one in KOP is in the new Sheraton hotel - wish the look and feel of the restaurant was more like the original. The floor is carpeted and you feel like you're in a hotel ballroom, rather than a great Italian restaurant. That"

"Well where should I begin. I went to this restaurant for my birthday dinner with my family. We were told by friends that we had to try this restaurant. There are two Matts who waiter there. I was told to ask for Cousin Matt. He was wonderful. Attentive. Great service. My table was thrilled. We never needed for anything. The service was amazing. We will make this our new place for special occasions, and we will certainly ask for Cousin Matt, whenever we go. From the mussels red and white, and the Sicilian calamari, Veal Chop, Veal Picante, Veal Parm, a special (with shrimp, broc, in a mussels white sauce over penne) amazing. The entire staff came out to sing happy birthday. If you don't make Ralph's your place to go, you are crazy. Loved It!"

"food is very good. They clearly try to make it a little more upscale than the south philly location. Waiter was ok. I think he was trying to be Soprano's sounding and came off as rude. The waiters and service helpers all need much training. They all seem like they got the job because they are related not because they know how to be good service industry professionals. Some tables are long boat shaped and everyone sits on one side. This is horrible. it's hard to talk to one another and people look right in at all your faces as you eat and talk. These tables are terrible. Lights have a weird glow to them and the overall ambiance is cold and uncomfortable."

"Great food and menu diversity. Very good service, friendly and not stiff. Prices are a bit high but decent portions. Wine list by the glass was a bit weak with high prices to boot. Atmosphere is typical of a hotel restaurant, that is a large, not intimate space. Still, it was an enjoyable meal and we will return."
