Located on the main lobby level of the newly redesigned InterContinental Miami, Toro Toro is celebrated chef/restaurateur Richard Sandoval’s creative Pan-Latin interpretation of a contemporary steakhouse. This sophisticated and sexy concept is modeled after Sandoval’s Dubai Toro Toro, which was named “Best Latin” and “Best New Restaurant” by Time Out. The restaurant’s selection of meats, carved tableside rodizio-style, along with an array of small plates, composed main-plates and a la carte steaks draws foodies while Toro Toro’s buzz-worthy bar, emphasizing Latin-inspired cocktails made with ultra-premium Latin spirits and a well-curated collection of fine wines from around the world, draws the cocktail crowd.
"Located in the lobby and on that particular day there was a noisy auction going on so the ambiance within the restaurant was pleasant, we were blanketed with the the rants of the loud voices. Other than that, all else was amazing...... From the exceptional service to the cuisine. Delichhhhh!!! Going to plan my daughter's 15th bday family dinner here. Returning soon with husband and just hoping to be able to listen to the music this time around."

"Although the portions were rather small (to be expected from a Tapas restaurant in a hotel lobby catering primarily to tourists and the expense account crowd), the food was excellent and the drink list was extensive. The drinks were well made and reasonable (for Miami $12ish for cocktails), and the service was great. The ambiance was romantic and the decor was excellent as well. I would recommend."

"Will never go back again. The restaurant was full due to a rainstorm; however, the kitchen could not keep up with the number of patrons. It took over 2 hours for us to get our meal -- sandwiches."

"The specialty cocktails were tasty and presented beautifully. My group ordered several food items and shared them - everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The staff was attentive, but not overbearing. The atmosphere was inviting! Definitely coming back!"

"Beautifully presented. Waitress helpful. Went right before a Miami heat game. They were able to provide exceptional service and we were happy with our choice. Best to eat empanadas, octopus, plantain and swordfish dip."

"The atmosphere is very open. Lots of side by side tables, but it wasn't overly crowded when we were there. Because it's so open, sound really carries and it was pretty loud. Service however was excellent. Staff was knowledgeable about the menu and didn't force choices. Specialty cocktails were very tasty. Overall, the food was visually appealing and delicious. The churrasco platter for two was a perfect size to share various meats without getting oversated. All in all, a delightful experience."

"Okay food but nothing impressive and lots of hidden charges ($9 for still water that I believed to be tap water?). So-so wine list. 18% Service charge included but they do not tell you that. I recommend strongly against eating here. Overall I felt I was being taken advantage of."

"we order many of the small bits in waves hoping the next dish would be better then the last, We left very under whelmed. The restaurant is a combo of sugarcane, ceviche 105 and bulla, all which are less expensive with better food."

"Came in for Dinner tonight with a friend after I heard a lot about this new place. They have been there for about 4 months and what a lovely surprise! We arrived earlier for our reservation and enjoyed great drinks at the bar, vibrant music, beautiful people and a great Happy hour! We're seated by a lovely hostess and than we started to have one of the best dining experience we ever had! Our waiter was amazing! New every single item on that menu and by explaining it to us made my mouth watery in just imagining what was to come. We started with empanadas, OMG talk about a delicious empanada, the best I ever had in my life followed by cocoa flat bread ...and it goes on!!!What a great night!!Perfect service, great management team! I recommend"

"Joey, the bartender was FANTASTIC! Warm, funny, welcoming - made sure the 6 of us were taken care of on a busy Fri night. I rated service "good" because of our waiter' "aurelleno (sp?). Efficient but abrupt and really pushed us ordering WAY more than we would ever eat. Never smiled til he brought us the check. All food was "ok" in flavor. The great exception was the diver scallops - WOW!"

"The Hotel Intercontinental never fails to live up to its reputation. My husband and I went for our anniversary again this year. Chef Alex had recommended the new Toro Toro and he was right again! We enjoyed the food, wine, and other diners who sat nearby. We will be back to try more of the small plates, since we opted for the carving meats as our main. The watermellon salad was delicious!"

"Our server was top notch but the rodizio aspect of the night was anticlimatic. We have been to many rodizios and this one just doesn't do it right. Everything else about the meal was great (minus the tres leches dessert)"

"The menu is primarily tapas style although they do serve some dinners. The tapas were excellent and were hot when they arrived at the table. Our server, Brandi, was great and answered all our questions. The kitchen was a bit slow considering we were there pre-Heat game and the restaurant was not crowded."

"Had dinner here before leaving on a cruise. The "small plates" were outstanding and were just the right amount for a couple to share. Will eat here again next time we are in Miami."
