Vito’s is an iconic 21 and over restaurant and lounge located on First Hill. Opened in 1953, it has a history rich in cocktail culture, organized crime and east coast, family style Italian food.
In April of 2010, Jeff Scott and Greg Lundgren purchased this Seattle institution and began a major restoration of the space. Their goal is to return Vito’s to the glamor and style of the 1950s, respect its colorful past and set the course for a 21st-century resurrection. Over the years the club has fallen into disrepair and poor alterations. They have replaced the dance floor with a performance space centered around a grand piano, with lounge singers, jazz trios and Lynchian curiosities that will dazzle and entertain into the early morning.
"I kind of expected to see Tony Soprano in a booth. Ha. Loved this place. Wonerful food. Great service and friendly staff. I will definitely go again."

"Food was very good, but portions were over the top. Service was smothering, although we ate early and the restaurant was not crowded. Waiter was too attentive. Couldn't carry on a conversation without being interrupted. Pricing was fair. Don't think I would go back."

"An icon place for nostalgia, retro 50's, somewhat freshened. Music (also 50'ish) was a bit loud for background fare at our 6:30 time. Food was decent and service was admirably prompt for our pre-Town Hall concert occasion."

"We are old timers from the original Vito days. We like to revisit old memories but the unfriendliness of most of the staff is a real turn off. I feel sorry for the owner(s) who must have a healthy investment to protect. We are always friendly to the wait staff and always leave at least a twenty percent tip, so I know it's not our attitude regarding this ongoing matter!"

"Out of all the great Italian places in Seattle I would rate this one as mediocre. The food was okay but a bit rich. The canneloni was one big casserole of cheese with more melted cheese on top....too heavy. And the gnocche was soaked in oil/butter. Just ok. The enviroment was average-good. The service good. Too many other good choices in Seattle to come back but glad I checked it out."

"Wife and I went to Vito's based on the reviews. Must say that the standard spagetti and meatballs were excellent. The sauce had a refreshing tomato sweetness to it, and the meatballs had just a slight zing to them that had me guessing what it was. On the other hand, my wife ordered the scallops that were cooked perfectly, but half way through, she encountered some grit. Was looking for a quiet diner with some live music (showed up too early for that), but for a saturday, was a little busy and quite noise. Probably should have thought of that before making reservations."
