"My husband and I went for lunch. We were the only people there for most of the time we were eating. My pasta was fine - but his minestrone soup and lasagna were outstanding. The soup was so good that I wish I had the recipe - very simple but awesome flavor. And the lasagna was different, no ground meat but the higher quality shredded beef. We both loved it. Definitely would go back and recommend to others."

"We had a party of 8, including two children, and the service was truly remarkable. I would definitely return and will recommend La Traviata to any friends in the area in the future!"

"Beautiful restaurant, wonderful food! The staff were all very attentative, until the end of our meal. The tables surrounding us and ourselves waited at least fifteen minutes for our check. It was Mother's Day so I can be forgiving of that because it was very busy and everything else had been so lovely."

"It was my first time and I found them on www.opentable.com. Pleasantly surprised would be an understatement! The food was KNOCK YOU OUT OF YOUR CHAIR good. The molten chocolate desert was AMAZING! We went for Mother's Day Brunch & had I known this place existed, I would've become a mother sooner. The were 3 options for the special occasion...salmon, lamb chops or pork chops & we all tasted one another's. short of licking the plates clean, we ate every crumb. YOU NEED TO TRY THIS PLACE! The atmosphere was amazing...quaint & cozy, the staff was attentive & all smiles & the food was just SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good!"

"This was our first time at this restaurant. We had high expectations after reading other reviews we had seen. We started our meal within an appetizer and a lobster salad. Neither had any taste. We asked for the Lasagne and were told they didn't have any. It just was not what we had expected so we cut the meal short and left. I must say the service was good and it was a nice gesture when the owner, I believe, Mario came by to say hello."

"I was looking for a quiet, kid free place to take my wife of 9 years to celebrate our anniversary. La Traviata was perfect!. Excellent service, ambience, and the lasagna was incredible. Thank you"

"This is a fantastic Italian restaurant and I look forward to visiting again soon. Wonderful service, delicious food and nice ambiance. We had the lobster and avocado salad, butternut squash ravioli and a few other things. Warm bread was superb! Perfect date spot or to chill with friends."

"Outstanding restaurant!! We had a large group and it was a wonderful evening. The service was superb. Our waiter was extremely nice and very accomodating. The food was delicious. The owner watched over our party and was very attentive as well. I was with a group of very discriminating diners and since I found this spot, I was hoping for the best. It turned out to be the perfect evening. Highly recommended!"

"Went for pre concert dinner last Saturday evening. The food for the price is really not worth it. We had the black ink pasta and the gnocchi. At around $24 each plate, the food had no flavor. The chocolate and raspberry cake for dessert was nothing special at all, The ambiance and setting is lovely. But for food, we will not go back."

"I liked the food, the ambiance was very nice, with a singer in the bar. The proprietor even came by to check on us and see how dinner was. I would definitely go back."

"The live entertainment was good. Singer knew her stuff and was engaging with the customers. Unfortunately, as far as the food goes, the Calamari was very chewy. The main course was good but not outstanding. Desserts were great."

"My husband and I have been going to La Traviata on each wedding anniversay for the last several years. We have been there for lunch and dinner at other times since the early 90's. The staff is very attentive. The food choices are excellent, with awesome presentation. The restaurant is not far from where we live, so we are able to walk to and from weather permiting. The owner, Joe, is a great guy."

"I have not been here for a year since relocating for work. The ambiance is still terrific with a European flare. The host/ owner is gracious, charming,, and definitely loads of fun. The bartender Pam and hostess Delara are very social and accommodating. Only slight complaint is the food quality has dropped a bit hence only a three star food rating. If the food quality is improved from the current 3 star to a four star level of old, I believe this can be the best total experience restaurant in Long Beach."

"Liked the free street parking (after 6), the food was terrific, the only downside was the noise level. The owner was very solicitous and went to each table to inquire about our satisfaction with the meal. We will meet there again."
