"It was a good time, the food was very good and the corn cakes/beans a must. The service was lacking on this visit, but it was Mothers Day and they were busy. Usually the service is much better, will be back soon!"

"Nero's is one of my favorite Nashville restaurants, and this visit did not disappoint. I had the crab cakes with rice and broccoli, and my husband had the kale salad with salmon. All were very tasty, as were the corn cakes. Wish I could come more often!"

"This was our first visit and we were totally blown away. From the decor to the service to the food to the desserts, this is a really good restaurant. Our experience was one of the best one's we have had in a restaurant anywhere in quite a while. Can't say enough good things!!"

"We had a kale salad with salmon that was on the nightly special menu. It was delicious and an unusually good value ($15). The service was quick and friendly and not rushed at all. We are now considering Nero's for our daughter's rehearsal dinner because they also have several different sized rooms for group functions. We will be back to this nice hidden gem."

"We called to let them know that we would be late. We ended up getting there just in time to get our orders in before the kitchen closed. They greeted us with smiling faces and were very good to us. A couple of us took the recommendation from the server and were very pleased with it. Over all the food was great, atmosphere and service was great, decently priced and we would go back for more."

"An old Nashville standby, revived very well ... always good food, even when serving hordes for a special Easter Sunday brunch! Service excellent and accommodating, atmosphere pleasant ... missed the corncakes enough so that we're going to have to revisit soon!"

"We went to Nero's for Easter Sunday. They had a special menu for the day and things were set up as a buffet. They had a fabulous brunch buffet table and then a lunch buffet table with a carving station. We loved it! Their potato salad was AMAZING. Fried chicken, roast, ham, salads and veggies. So good! I didn't have the brunch menu but some at my table did and the omelet’s as well as the breakfast potatoes looked very good. When back in Nashville I would certainly go here again."

"Pleasant casual atmosphere. Good Southern menu done creatively, with just enough - and diverse enough - healthy options to satisfy those who prefer them. Excellent service from the free valet to the wait staff and unobtrusive busboys!"

"This was our first visit to Nero's Grill. We started with a bottle of Cabernet, raw oysters, and clam chowder. For entrees, we had cajun bow tie pasta and chicken picata. For dessert we had oreo balls. All food came out properly seasoned and tasted great. Our server Wayne was kind and provided excellent service and suggestions.
The decor leaves a little to be desired, but you can't be the price for the location and overall quality of the food."

"With a limited menu, I expected the offerings to be excellent, but that was not the case. The I had the prime rib and it was very bland. We were seated at a table that wobbled terribly and one of the servers apologized as soon as she got to the table, almost as if she knew the table was like that. Ambiance was okay, but I expected a lot more from the restautrant overall. With the number of options in the area, it is very unlikely I would go back"

"My girlfriends and I chose Nero's for dinner as the start to a double bachelorette party. The atmosphere was a little on the bland side. It was very quiet and cozy, no necessarily a place for a large group of girls in their twenties. We all started with a drink. The wine selection was excellent and their speciality drink, the dreamsicle was to die for! The Bellinis were not as tasty ad I remember, but our serve quickly returned them and brought back a great wine. The food was amazing. Many of us ate the Ahi Tuna which can be a tricky fix, but it was perfection! Overall, I would say Nero's is an excellent choice. It would be a great place for lunch or a family dinner. We were looking for something a little more upbeat, but it was still great"

"I was startled at how bad the food truly was. Medium rare prime rib, looked and tasted like burned shoe leather. The bean soup was a solid glob. Never again."

"Possibly they are going thru some renovation....looked like the table candle caught fire to the chair rail molding on the wall...there was a nail hole & a picture hanger left in the wall....made us wonder if the artwork had caught fire too? The homemade chips did not taste like they were fresh, chips cold and greasy, we had the fried green tomato sandwich - the bacon was great, had a rather small slice of fried green tomatoe on wheat bread that was not memorable. The cheese grits were GREAT! Crabcake Benedict was small and can't say the lump crab was fresh....taste was "maybe" a 2 star compared to the Green Hills grill 5...would not order again."

"Food was great but service was impeccable. Waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and made great suggestions. I had the Prime Rib sandwhich and the meat was very tasty and the bun was so very good. I like their new luncheon menu. The restaurant was full but not noisy."

"Nero's had a very relaxed feel. I sat next to a cozy fire in the bar area. We had a couple of appetizers, main course, and dessert. Everything was delicious. The prices were reasonable but it was not an inexpensive place. A wonderful place to meet friends and enjoy a good time."

"We had a delicious lunch and our server could not have been more attentive, yet not obtrusive. It was a great experience. We had their amazing bean soup with corn cakes and shared an order of rib rolls with fries. The rib rolls are relatively new - prime rib thinly sliced with provolone cheese on homemade yeast rolls. The french fries are thin and crispy. If you've never had their bean soup or corn cakes, you're missing one of our city's most special treats. They've been serving them since the early days of Nero's Cactus Canyon and are amazing. A delicious, warming meal on a chilly day in a gem of a restaurant - we'll be back soon."

"Food was good, but not exceptional. I had the ribs, which were just so, so. Much better at many other places. However, the food was certainly good and we had a table in front of a raging fire on a cold winter night and we were well served on what might have been a quiet night. Ambience was very nice and overall it was an enjoyable dining experience even if the food could have been better."
