“Sirio Ristorante is my chance to offer diners an opportunity to experience the cuisine that my family and I enjoy while dining out throughout Italy,” said Sirio Maccioni. “I’m looking forward to returning to The Pierre and sharing this part of my heritage with New Yorkers and visitors alike.”
Executive Chef Filippo Gozzoli, formerly of the five-star luxury hotel Park Hyatt Milan and two-starred Michelin restaurant Arquade at Hotel Villa del Quar in Verona, Italy, will oversee the kitchen at Sirio Ristorante New York.
Inspired by the high style aesthetic of 1960’s Italy, the restaurant recalls the classic Italian ristorante and casual elegance of Federico Fellini’s “La Dolce Vita.
"been to two pre-fixe brunches (xmas two years ago and most recently, mom's day) -- fabulous! impeccable service and delicious food. you get your money's worth, in quality and quantity. and the beautiful white roses plus pretty pink macaroons they gave mum and I as we left -- what a charming finale note!"

"We had a wonderful dinner at Sirio. Beautifully presented food - delightful to look at as well as to eat! The ambience was lovely - not too noisy and not too quiet. A perfect location too. All in all a wonderful evening and a great find. We would definitely go back."

"The food was at most average. The risotto was undercooked and salty, my fish was ok(iu=ts difficult to grill bad a fish). the dessert had a mixture of flavor that made it unpleasant. But the wors was that we had a gift cert for $200, we spent with tax and everything $191. We gave the waitress the credit card to give har the tip together with the remaining monet on the cert. She said that they can not return extra money in a cert, so we end up paying $200 plus tip. For me that is stealing. No way we go back to that place."

"The John Mariani newsletter review a few weeks ago was right on target. Great food, wonderful service, and a cozy feel in spite of the luxurious environment of the Pierre Hotel and the ghost of Le Cirque. I would go back weekly."

"This restaurant is overpriced and has very few customers in it. When it is Le Caprice we ate there two nights a week, since we live next door on Fifth Avenue. I think Sirio must think diners will pay anything to go to any of his establishments, but that is not the case.
We took guests there and it was very disappointing. Never will return again."

"Sirio is quickly becoming one of our favorite places in the neighborhood. The service is impeccable, the food is excellent and the ambiance serene. We booked a reservation for Saturday brunch not realizing that the St. Patty's Day parade would be in full swing. Still, the atmosphere inside was calm and pleasant even with all the festivities outside. It was my partner's birthday and they presented him with a delicious dessert. As usual we left feeling as if we had another superb experience."

"I have now had occasion to dine at Sirio's twice. The first was to share a speciallunch with my mother-in-law who was in town. We had had a tradition of eating lunch at the Pierre for years. The second was recently, this time for a business lunch.
Both experiences were beyond par. I will be back."

"We love Sirio. The room is very pretty and the food delicious. We've been several times for both brunch and dinner--the service is always outstanding and attentive. We prefer to sit in the rear where it is quieter. Great people watching."

"Most definitely a must for fine dining. Food quality was in the excellent category when captured within the most beautiful decor that I've seen along with caring and attentive service made my plate of Bronzino an evening to remember."

"We made a reservation on an evening that Sirio was doing a wine tasting. We were the 1st table there (5:30) reservation. The server did not offer us a regular menu or tell us any specials of the evening. She just asked if we wanted to do the 4 course wine tasting, which we did. However, it would have been nice if she told us the specails that we overheard the waiter telling the table next to us. The first course arrived and we were not poured our wine yet. Then a few minutes later the waitress came over and simply said "this is the wine for your 1st course". I did expect a little more explanation of the wine since it was a wine tasting. Overall, theservice was fair to say the least. The food was OK, but, I won't be running back."

"This was my sescond dinner at Sirio. Love everything about it. It's good for both leisure and business...I have done both. I keep spreading the word, but worried that I won't be able to get in when the locals return from their winter sojourns."

"I must admit that I expected more of this restaurant. I did appreciate that there was a comfortable space between the tables and the service was very good. I did think that the food and selection could have been better. There was nothing that made it stand out however."

"I have been to Sirio now three times since they opened. The food and ambiance continue to be super however the service during my last visit was quite disappointing. Our server was very quick to take a drink order and then she did not return to take our order for an hour. She did not refill the water, remove the plates or ask us if we wanted anything further in a timely manner. At the end of the night we could see she had personal guests that took a great deal of her attention but that is no excuse-especially in a restaurant of this level. I would find it difficult to recommend this service and hope that it is not going to continue at this level. The table next to us was also quite frustrated."

"The decor is very tasteful and contemporary, and the ambiance including noise level is very good. There is a very nice, broad wine selection at all price ranges. Our hostess and waiter, as well as allot the wait staff were attentive and professional. The variety on the menu was very good with interesting preparations and flavors. We had salmon and branzino which were perfectly cooked and delicious. We would definitely go back. The bar was. Very nice and we look forward to having a drink there."

"A pleasant restaurant with a good menu that does not aim to leverage its excellent location with high prices. It could become a strong competitor among the best Italian restaurants in the area(Il Gattopardo, etc) if every dish is given careful attention. Blah dishes, such as the lamb stew, should be redefined or avoided. The decor of the predecessor Le Caprice has been kept, to a salutary effect."

"Very good but not great. Suprised to be able to get a reservation on Saturday night made earlier that same day. Many empty tables at 7:30 on a Saturday night does not bode well."
