In Italian, Osteria means ‘tavern’ or ‘inn’ where visitors may enjoy simple lodging and traditional food and wine. We proudly celebrate this heritage by upholding a classical understanding of the value of the simple things—family, food and comfort—by welcoming you to enjoy the warm embrace of Celli’s Osteria. Enjoy rustic Italian dishes with a contemporary flare that express our belief in the value of seasonal products and simple, genuine flavours. Enjoy seasonal menus and a combination of both locally produced and imported Italian ingredients, cultivating a ‘glocal’ blend of enchanting flavours that are beautifully complemented by an extensive wine list. Come dine with us at Celli’s, where we offer you an opportunity to celebrate the flavour of the simple life.
"This was our first time to Celli's Osteria. The food was excellent and the service was friendly and helpful. Our meal was not rushed, which was a lovely change from other restaurants we have been to. The wine, a nice Barolo was recommended and it did not disappoint! Overall a great dining experience."

"Celli's has a very rustic Italian menu and fresh ambiance in the downtown core of Burlington. Our waiter was extremely helpful and attentive to our needs. With his guidance, we chose the interesting and tasty bruschetta combination of three selections of two each of the rabbit combined with cherries, mushrooms and goat cheese, and cherry tomatoes with almonds. We shared favorable caesar salad and prosciutto di Parma pizza and we had just enough room to add coffee with tiramisu dessert. This was an excellent dinner and we will be returning again."

"Never tried the old La Costa, but this new place Celli's Osteria will be revisited by us. Very good italian food, with a sophisticated and unique approach--very flavourful. Professional and friendly wait staff--not trying to rush you or pester you, but making sure you well attended. You do pay more for better quality though, so be prepared for a $125 + dinner for 2."

"The food was great, and although I'm sure beer isn't the highlight, it wouldn't hurt to have more than 3 options.
It was only slightly disappointing, but disappointing just the same. Neither my date, nor myself felt like wine, but didn't have much choice... We survived, and when we were done, we went to another local restaurant/bar for a beer."

"Friday night, dinner for two. Seated at large table with a nice view of the open kitchen with wood stove and started with water while we looked over the menu. The chef brought over two small complementary appetizers while we decided, a welcome gesture. Calamari, prosciutto pizza and pasta bolognese were all delicious, hot, served to order quickly. Only complaint is that they appeared to have only 1-2 servers and the place was packed. Service was solid and friendly when she had a moment to stop at our table but this impacted the timing of our wine order (which was minor detail). Overall great time, fabulous food. Will go back."

"We went for the Mother's day brunch. The service was excellent however being of italian background, i found the food to be average . In fairness, it was a buffet so its really hard to judge quality. I would not go out of my way to recommend the restaurant but i also would not say it is not worth a visit."

"We ordered the beet carpaccio, Calamari and meatball to start. Beet Carpaccio was excellent and the pistachio sprinkles on top was a nice touch. Breaded Calamari were not over cooked and served with a tomato base. meatball were either made with veal or great cut of beef and were my favorite. We order the rabbit pasta, calamari gnocchi, sea bass and pizza. All were done perfectly with the gnocchi being my favorite. Lyndsy were our server and did an excellent job taking care of us. This was our second visit and we will be back for a third"

"Although we were unexpectedly seated in the bar our experience was good. Our server was helpful and knowledgeable. The food came out in a timely fashion and 3 out of 4 of us were satisfied with our orders. The chicken entree was tasty but difficult to eat as it is served on the bone. Otherwise, pastas were delicious."

"Lobster tagliatelle was excellent, as was the hanger steak. Varied selection of wines by the glass, and the service was friendly and attentive. Though the restaurant was crowded, we couldn't hear the conversations from neighbouring tables. Highly recommended."

"I had made a reservation that day but was surprised that when my wife and I arrived that we were seated close to the door.... maybe it was the case that we reserved too late for a choice table. The décor and ambience was fitting par the menu. It's less stuffy than when it was Costa Nuovo but retains the right amount of foodie cred based on the excellent food preparation (Pollo, Arancini, Scallop Gnudie). Only complaint with the food was the portion sizes were small. The Pollo (chicken) was almost alone on the plate - almost devoid af any veg or starch of any kind, although the delicious jus made me not care so much. Service was a bit harried. Wine list is terrific. An '03 Osoyoos Larose Grand Vin at $85 is a steal."

"This was my first time at Celli's and I was blown away by their marinara sauce. I was there for the Taste of Burlington and got the pre fixe 3 course meal. I had the mussels in a marinara sauce and wiped the plate clean with my bread. It was delicious. Entree was chicken Parmesan and again, the red sauce was excellent. All food was cooked perfectly. The mussels were tender and the chicken was juicy. The Lindt chocolate mousse with fresh berries was a nice sweet finish to this tasty meal. I will definitely go back."

"came for taste of burlington menu 15 bucks for lunch was a steal food great would pay regular menu prices my only pet peeve is one that pertains to most resturants my drink was 10 bucks. going out could be on a more regular basis if drinks and wine were not that factor. "We participated in the Taste of Burlington Winter 2013 menu, and the food was great! The Mushroom Risotto was done perfectly. The staff were very personable, and spent the perfect amount of time checking on our table of 4. Kudos to the Chef!"

"Dined on a busy evening, we were celebrating my father's birthday. Thankfully we made a reservation. We got to taste the new menu that was recently launched. Many different pasta options as well as pizzas. I opted for a bolognese pasta, and started with the arancini. The service was friendly and attentive. I will most definitely be returning with friends!"

"Attentive, friendly service in a genteel atmosphere. There's something for everyone on the menu. My only complaint, and others may disagree, is the choice of wines by the glass. The Chilean sauvignon blanc had a bitter aftertaste, and the pinot grigio wasn't quite right either. Could just be my taste. I would like to have seen a sauvignon from New Zealand. Otherwise, Celli's is a great place for a lovely meal and you'll be well taken care of while you dine."
