"Gorgeous food and genius wine pairings. My server was happy to bring me several small pours to accent the dishes that I chose. I can't wait to go back!!!"

"I really wanted to like this place but just didn't. Lovely San Fran feel to the place. However, the wait person was impatient and a bit condescending. Food was not great to start and was tepid when it arrived--overcooked fish, potatoes that were clearly cooked many hours before serving. There were 4 of us....no one was impressed."

"Stellar. The best thing was that you can get a half a bottle of any wine that is under $100/ bottle for half price. It meant we could try two wines with dinner, which was fun.
The food was all awesome. We'll be back."

"I'm all for simple menus but St. Vincent has very limited options - ours included four entrees including chicken, swordfish, beef for two (a shared plate), and a vegetarian option. That was it. My wife and I split the chicken and swordfish and each was extremely salty and the swordfish was overcooked. This restaurant came highly recommended but we were both very disappointed."

"Creative food along with friendly service will bring me back. Enjoyed a great Priorat by the glass, but wish btg selection weren't so limited. And best dessert I've had in a while...malted milk ice cream with little honeycomb cookie crumble. Wouldn't mind dropping in just for that!!"

"We expected the wine and beer list to be exceptional (and it is), but the food was exceptional too. Everything we ordered was delicious -- the swordfish was perfect -- crispy on the outside with a perfect texture inside; the shredded pork with chips is a must try, and I am trying to copy the cauliflower with salsa verde at home right now. The owner helped us pick out great wines and a cider. I will be back soon for the Sarurday wine tastings or fun and to buy a couple of cases. All in all, in a town with many great reataurants, this is one that will become a classic San Francisco fixture."

"This is an excellent place to go if you want to eat a number of well-executed small plates and not spend a small fortune pairing each of them with an appropriate and very good wine. The service was conducted notably well."

"Had great dinner at St. Vincent's and especially liked the policy they have of opening any bottle of wine under $100 and offering to give you a 1/2 bottle of it. Allows you to try lots of things you might not have experimented with.... Bone marrow was especially good"

"I very much enjoyed St. Vincent. The food was very good, and there was quite a bit to choose from. Service was stellar as our winter made some recommendations that we tried and were blown away with. I would and will definitely recommend this place to others."

"The limited menu is creative and executed to perfection. The service was first rate as our waitress had a great understanding of the menu as well as the extensive wine list. I look forward to a repeat visit!"

"the wine list must be the best in town - the byline is "100 wines under $100' and they deliver. Ask the server for a good pairing they are very helpful."

"Wanted something easy to do on V-day so we booked dinner here since it's walking distance from where we live. The host was great offered us a drink while we waited (under 5min) for our table to be ready! The Prix fixed menu and wine & beer pairing made it stress free. No one had to stare off into space looking at a game of thrones size book of wines that we don't know! The wait staff even noticed that the BF didn't care for one of the beers and poured him some wine. We hung out for so long that host offered up some beverages on the house if we would be so kind as to move to the bar so the other people with dinner reservations could be seated. With a new restaurant popping up every 2 seconds on Valencia I was happy that I choose a good one!"

"Excellent service and really really yummy food. We were a bunch of picky eaters due to some dietary restrictions and they treated us so well and accommodated all of our requests. Superb wine list and I really like the ambiance."

"Think of it as a wine bar with some nibbles and it's a great experience. A comprehensive wine list and knowledgeable wait staff who enjoy describing the wines and introducing new tastes to their guests. The food was adventurous and a bit odd -- definitely not classic pairings for great wine. Some of the choices that are pictured on the website weren't available the night we visited -- too bad. But all in all, a perfect place for a relaxing Friday night conversation with a date, another couple or a few well-mannered friends."

"Fantastic service from both hostess and server - friendly and attentive. We stayed at our table for over two hours, and never felt rushed to leave, even after the place got very crowded. Food was very good: interesting takes on American comfort food. We ordered 12 different things, best were the pulled pork, sirloin and squash with roe. Worst were the pretzels (burnt), and scrapple (underseasoned). Our biggest disappointment was the much touted wine list. Shame on us for not looking at it online to see that it's largely Italian. The CA offerings (our fav) were limited and overpriced. We struggled to find something we wanted in the Italians for less than $200/bt. Disappointing at a place known for it's large wine selection."

"Disappointing. Great wine list but few wines by the glass. Ambiance was good--very inviting. Entree and dessert menu too limited. She crab appetizer not good, dessert not good. No bread. Service was very poor."
